 A stunningly beautiful scenery, with green as far as the eye can see. It could be the perfect detour on a long journey, or the setting for a dramatic battle field. The ocean borderlines the east, and the mountains can be seen in the horizon of the west. This land is no man's property. But open to everyone.

Ago grazed happily through the beautiful green field, chomping on the tasty grass and smiling to herself mrgreen What a lovely day... Argo thought as she frolicked lalalalala... she just chewed on grass and waited for Xena and the irritating Blo- Gabrielle to somehow find their way back to this beautiful grassy field that for some unknown reason they left her in. Argo turned her head as she heard a rustle in the grass, and there, right before her nose she saw a wonderful site. An apple! She thought happily. She bent her neck to take it into her mouth but just as she did so.... it disappeared!

Argo neighed and whimpered in reaction to the disappearing apple. Son of a bachai she thought that looked tasty. She continued grazing and eating grass and she just couldn't think why it was taking Xena so long to come and get her Maybe I should just run away with another warlord... She nighed and shook her head. All this grass is making me bloated...

Arnicus sniffed along the grass. There was something different nearby, and he was trailing its scent to the source. He kept his head low, and became so engrossed in thought that when he finally came upon his quarry, he smacked his head square into a larch white foreleg. He yelped and scowled up at the giant mare looming over his head. "Arf!" he said indignatly, then wagged his tail in greeting. "Arf, arf!"

Argo neighed at the mysterious creature near her legs and took a few step backs. She lowered her head and looked at the animal curiously... She couldn't see anything particularly dangerous about it, in fact it was pretty darn cute. Argo nodded her head and knocked her hoof on the ground in a friendly greeting. The dog barked and she neighed. Out of the corner of her eye Argo saw the apple suddenly appear again. Her eyes widened and she turned her head towards the apple, just as the dog did the same. They both ran towards it but just as they got there it disappeared again. Argo stomped her hoofs in frustration and Arnicus starting running in circles barking where the apple once lay.

Arnicus couldn't believe his eyes. Where had that apple gone? It just wasn't proper. Things were supposed to stay put or go where he told them to go, not just appear and disappear at a whim. He sniffed the spot where the apple had lain just a moment ago, and could still smell it's surprisingly strong scent. He whined in frustration at his new friend and barked again. He liked apples, so he started sniffing around for another one. Maybe he could find two of them, so they both could have a snack.
As he sniffed further up the hill, he started to smell the sweet scent of apple again. "Arf!" he called to Argo, who followed him over the hill's crest. There, on the other side, lay the apple. The pair ran towards it, and just as they came up to it, it disappeared again!

Argo had followed her new friend over the hill and there again lay the apple. And than again it disappeared. Argo let out of huff of breath and shook her mane; she was a smart horse and by this time she couldn't say that she didn't expect that to happen... again . She looked at her friend and nighed. Lets figure out whats going on here... She communicated as she narrowed her eyes and looked around the hills, with the same determined look she often saw on her Warrior Princess.

Arnicus saw the determined look on the mare's face, so he huffed and sat on his haunches, looking at her expectantly. What should we do? We can't just run around chasing mysterious apples all day. Just then, the apple appeared again mid-way up the next hill. They both saw it, but didn't immediately chase after it this time. Stay here. Maybe we're scaring it away. I'll go sneak up on it and catch it, then we can share it. He crouched down low and sneaked stealthily up the hill to the apple. It stayed where it was the entire time, and just as he was close enough, he pounced and bit down on it. Unfortunately, the apple disappeared again just as he bit down, and all he got was a mouth full of grass. He sneezed a few times to get the taste of dirt out of his mouth as Argo came up behind him shaking her head. OK. So catching it is out, but it seems to be leading us somewhere. Let's follow it.

[i]Good Idea... Argo nodded her head and began to trot alongside Arnicus towards the new spot the apple chose to sit, than disappear. It appeared, than disappeared again and again and the two companions continued to fallow. After walking for a while Argo stopped as she looked ahead, and Arnicus stopped just after her. wow... There before their eyes was the largest Apple Tree they had ever seen, full of rip, beautiful apples and at the foot of it was a cave large enough for even Argo to squeeze into.

Arnicus licked his chops as his mouth watered. Double wow! I've never seen so many beautiful, yummy looking apples in all my life! I wonder if that cave is full of apples, too. Wanna go in and look? He wagged his tail and barked impatiently.

*walks thru teh hills from a close village. im runnin as fast as i can wheezin my lungs out tryin teh get teh xena. megs walkin a few feet in front of me chillin an movin her...apples around* beh...guh..... gonk *meg looks at me an i stand up straight like im just fine then she looks back an i start crawlin an wheezin again*

Ah yeah. I could get used to this fresh air stuff.
*Looks for flask in her shirt, but then becomes frantic when she realizes it must've fallen out when she tripped. Stomps the ground in frustration and has a little fit, causing everything to bounce around. She tries not to sound desperate.*
Joxer! Ya got any booze with ya?
*Starts gnawing her fingernails thinking about being sober till the next village.*

Thank the Gods! I was real worried for a minute there.
*Glugs down an astonishing amount and then staggers slightly, but catches herself on Joxer's shoulder*

Arnicus growls at the couple. Don't let them know what we found! he said to Argo. It's our apple tree! He barked fiercely and chased the couple away from their discovery.
