Your friend is right though. Outlands has a lot of gold waiting to be received, not only from greens that drop but also from quest rewards too.

Yup, Outlands. Garbage sells for more to vendors and quests pay more.

I'm assuming you're talking about epic land mount, not epic flying.
Cuz damn, farming 5.2k gold in Azeroth would make me want to kill myself, seriously.

Outlands is great, in a beat-your-head-against-a-wall sort of way, but you get a LOT of money and gear for beating your head against a wall so it all pans out I guess, and you end up being lv 70 after awhile.
If you have it, a good way to make money is farming herbs in Zangarmarsh and Terrokar, the Terocones sell for a lot. You can also do some quests and instances, and hope for good drops to sell. Its only 540g, its not too much. Another 95g for the mount (and why would you buy one, you can get a pvp mount for free in about 2 weeks).

2 weeks? 3 days, 5 if you get unlucky with battlegrounds. These days horde 5 caps AB/Totally destroys WSG frequently and fast (at least in Ruin Battlegroup) and Alliance stomps AV rapidly.

Along the same lines as this guy started, but keep in mind I'm a Tauren and such.

Now, I know that the cost of mount training is based on your Rep. with your home city. What's the best way to grind up Rep. with TB?

All casuals must get out. Jk, but yeah, it takes all of 3 days of PvP'ing.

It totally depends on your professions if you don't want to go to the Outlands. If you have mining I suggest farming thorium over in Burning Steppes. You can get good gold from that :]

Post your Pro's for other help? :3

Im going to have to back this up but also say that you really should just get your character into outlands and do the quests, by the time that you get the money, you will be 70 as well.

You should get enough money for an epic mount by the time you at least hit 63 in the Outlands. My brother was 60 and started with 70g to his name. By the time he hit 62 he had his epic mount. :] Now as a 70 he even had enough for his regular flying mount. He didn't even have any real profesions!

DEFINITELY go to Outlands, where garbage sells for more gold than...Seriously, I made fifty gold my first day there just selling crap.

If you have a farmable profession, like skinning, mining, or herbalism, it makes it all the more easier to make money. Just takes some time.
