The full moon was approaching once again, and as usual the king of the Mwezi'Johari was feeling luckier and luckier as it got nearer and nearer. They'd been searching so long, they had to find their home soon. Not only that, but Unyezi noticed that their search party group was rapidly growing, everyone seemed to be drawn back together. Unyezi very much wanted to believe it was a sign that they were getting closer, that there was a reason so many of them were drawn to the same area. It was lucky, though- or it would be when they did find a home. They would all already be together, and it would be easier to lead everyone there.
It was early in the morning, and having increasing trouble sleeping the longer the search went on, Unyezi was already up and about. He'd optimistically decided there was nothing like an early start to the day.

Mwenzangu had wandered away from Unyenyezi, leaving her with promises that he was just going to look over here, really(!), hoping to get some clues on her pride members. He had no idea what to look for, but asking every single breathing thing that walked by would help, right?
So it shouldn't surprise anyone that he would stroll around, asking birds and hares and anything else that wouldn't runa way from him (he was a lion).
Feeling a bit defeated, as he wasn't getting anywhere, he perked his head up as he saw another lion walking around. Well...he looked a bit different. Maybe that would help? It wouldn't hurt!
He slowly made his way over there, as he didn't want to seem aggressive. "Hello?"

Unyezi shared a similar tactic with Mwenzangu, the only difference was that the king knew exactly what he was looking for- he even had a little bit around his neck to serve as an example in case he was unable to describe it properly. Currently he felt that he and Shira were the most knowledgeable on the subject, but his own knowledge was very, very limited. Hopefully when they settled an apprentice could be appointed to Shira.
Looking the other way, he was surprised to hear someone call out to him.
"Hm?" Unyezi turned to see who was there. A friendly face was not something to worry about, so the king smiled and stepped closer, "Hello there."

Awesome! At leat he would be able to talk to someone of his own kind. He never had a thing against the smaller creatures he asked, but they always gave him a funny look and went along there way. Groups of lions? There were a ton of them, everywhere!
"Hi!" he said again, a smile on his face. "I just was wondering if I could ask you a question?" He had learned to ask if he could ask before asking, really, because sometimes he would get quite the mouthoff for running up to someone and asking them first before saying anything else. It never put him down, no, but it still made him alter his approach on finding these mysterious pride members.

It was nice to encounter someone so friendly and cheerful seeming, even for the short time they'd spoken thus far. Unyezi loved his pridemates and all, but everyone generally was feeling the same- anxious and tired. Optimism was failing, despite everyone's best efforts not to let it.
"Sure," Unyezi gave a nod and shrug, hoping to get in his own question but more than willing to wait his turn!

"Weeeell...." How should he start it? He thought for a moment, his red eyes staring blankly at the ground just beyond his feet.
"Oh!" he jumped, his mind starting up again. "Well, I came across this lioness who was looking for her pride members....or something, so I decided to try and help her. Have you seen some wanderion lions that...look like they're lost?" That seemed like the easiest way to describe what Unyenyezi had told her. While he did know these lands alright, finding wandering lions was harder than he thought it would be.

Unyezi waited patiently for the stranger to find what he wanted to say, the blue lion had gone through this situation many times before only he was in the opposite situation. It wasn't always easy trying to get out exactly what you meant, at least the king had an example of what he was looking for tied around his neck.
He was surprised when Mwenzangu asked about a wandering pride of lions, and his shock undoubtedly showed.
"Perhaps I have," he said with a blink, "Who have you found? I'm traveling with my pride, you could say we're lost."

Zangu felt his heart rise in excitement of perhaps finding just who Unyenyezi had been looking for. Finally! He did his best to not show it, though, just in case it was the wrong group of lions. The chances were slim, but they were still there.
He paused for another moment, shifting the weight on his forepaws before speaking. His eyes shyly met the others. "Well, her name is Unyenyezi," he replied. He didn't use her nickname though, just in case this lion wasn't of her pride. He didn't think that just mentioning her name to a stranger might not be good, but this lion looked nice to him.

When Mwenzangu mentioned Unyenyezi's name, Unyezi jumped in surprise and relief. It was always good to know that one's pridemates were safe- and nearby. And aside from that, he didn't like the idea of any of them really traveling alone so to know that she wasn't- and was nearby- well, it was good news.
"You've found us, then," he beamed, "I'm Unyezi, and I'm the king of the Mwezi'Johari. It's good to meet a friend of one of our own."

"Us?" he couldn't help but ask. He saw the white lion alone, but...perhaps then the others will be around.
"Unyenyezi will be quite happy, then!" he beamed, feeling like he had fulfilled his duty. It was one thing to be asked to help, but another altogether to actually filfill it an see the joy on the other's face.
"I know where she is, if you'd like me to go fetch her now? Or..." he paused. Maybe he wanted to surprise her? "Or do you just want to know where she is?"

"I am traveling with six others," he explained, though he did not bother to mention that the trip had not started out that way. Unyezi did notice the oddity of that himself, though. Everyone seemed to be going in the same direction, he wasn't sure if that was good or bad- if they found home together then it would be good, but they could also be missing a lot of area.
"Perhaps it would be best to bring me to her, so we can determine if she wants to join back with this group," he suggested, assuming she must if she was looking for them but he could always get someone to join her if she would prefer that.

"I would be happy to!" he said, jumping up and pretty much ready to go. He wiggled around a bit while he was standing around, a but like a cub that was super excited to go to the watering hole for the first time.
"We were just over in this direction not too long ago," he motioned towards just to the left area behind him. "I do hope that she is still there, though." He led the other lion slowly, so that he wouldn't lose him. It wasn't like he was walking too far, but you never knew, right? Plus he shouldn't look too excited, he didn't want Unyenyezi to get spooked if he suddenly ran around the corner and up towards her in all a rush. She might take it as somethind danergous coming, or something!
Zangu always had a little bit of an overactive imagination.

Unyezi was happy to hear something about the whereabouts of Unyenyezi. It was sometimes difficult keeping all wandering members in mind all at once when you wandered in such a large group with so many things on your mind at once. He was happy to see someone so excited and cheerful, it was a nice change from the dulling mood the travelling pride had been going through.
"Ok," he said, following along after Zangu, not thinking of the potential issues with going quicker but not at all minding going slowly. He did hope they didn't miss Unyenyezi, but if they knew she was around here somewhere.. she couldn't end up too far away, could she?

It'd been rather a long while since the trio of travel companions had split up to search alone for bit and Unyenyezi'd moved entirely. She'd managed to find a pridemember in the other direction too - the queen, Aureole. It'd been such a stroke of luck for her to find her homeland and someone she knew and she'd dallied there for what felt like an age to her. Zizi'd quite lost track of time.
Luckily they'd agreed to split up else she'd have been missed. The tarnished silver lioness was hurrying back to the general area now, looking to spot Mbaraka or Mwenzangu. It was the latter she saw first and...was that Unyezi? The queen and then the king too. My my.
"Hello?"

Mwenzangu hadn't realized that Zizi was anywhere around here. Sure, he thought that she might be around here, but he was never very good at directions, or really anything in that matter, and it was quite obvious by the look on his face that he was surprised.
"Zizi!" he shouted, trotting up to her quite happily. Well, he had obviously helped Unyezi! And if this was who Zizi was looking for, then all the better!
"I'm glad you're here, I was looking for you," he said, swishing his tail behind him, a bit of a song in his voice. Victory, for once.
