A new age of peace has dawned over Mobius. With the death of Eggman, the sun rises on a seemingly endless era of peace, prosperity, and good will.
However, all is not well on the planet Mobius. The inhabitants have indulged in any sort of pleasure. Money, power, sex; these are what now drive the souls of Mobius to live on in this life, to fight death, and engourge on pleasure.
Through their indulgence they have spawned 7 dieties of Negitive Chaos Energy, or the Deadly Sins. Luxuria of Lust, Gula of Gluttony, Avaritia of Greed, Acedia of Sloth, Ira of Wrath, Invidia of Envy, Superbia of Pride.
The more the masses indulge, the more power they grant these agents of evil. If the pattern continues, they will open the door to the realm of Chaos, and free an unspeakable evil. Slowly, the world slips into darkness. Poverty, Famine, Plauge; yet the people continue to indulge in the sins and give up their souls to hell. Its only a matter of time before Mobius itself is cast into the Relm of Chaos.
There is but one hope, the positive energy that remains within the 7 Chaos. A dormant power that only grants itself to the direct decendents of the dieties that created the Chaos. Chastity, Abstinence, Temperance, Diligence, Patients, Kindness, and Humility. Seven souls among the lost masses that must be awakened if there is to be salvation of Mobius.
There is but one being alive that knows this legened. The Gate Keeper, and last of his people, Knuckles the Echidna. Only he can gather the Chaos and awaken the saviors of Mobius.
