Any Children?: I have one adopted son who I love very dearly, he is the apple of my eye, my light and joy. To my sadness, however, he also causes his mother much grief. He's not a bad boy, just a child who needs more attention than some.
About Me: About me? I'm not sure what to exactly say here. I live a good life, working as a substitute teacher. Though I'm not completely content with my job, I am happy. My life, according to my affluent parents, was never supposed to work out this way. I was supposed to be taken care of by someone else, they never once envisioned me taking care of myself. But I couldn't imagine living any other way...I suppose things would be quite dull otherwise. Not to say I don't enjoy the finer things in life, dinner parties, exotic locations, equestrian...but its pointless to pine over what doesn't exist anymore.
Hobbies: I take tea everyday and often indulge in playing the many instruments I have collected over the years. I have such little free time, that it's a treat when I do get to plunk out a few tunes here and there. When I get the chance for an evening out, the ballet or opera are my first choices. And when good company is in town, I can't resist throwing a dinner party. However, my most favorite hobby of all is the one that takes up all my time, mothering.
Talents:I find it rather rude to boast about myself, really, I'm not sure what to put down here. I'm decent at most everyday activities, but neither shine nor excel at anything spectacular. If I had to list a key component of myself, something I am proud of and have been complemented on, it would be my patient manor. It is the one virtue I abound in and never seem to run short of.
Looking For: Not someone who will be my spouse, husband or lover, but someone who will be my partner, a man who will work with me, for better or for worse, in sickness and in health...I'm sure you know how the rest goes, I want an equal who will love and respect me as I do them.

Appearance:Come rain or shine, there is always one thing you can count on Madeline to be wearing...and that is either a dress or skirt. Location permitting, she will also probably be wearing a pair of white or pink pump heals. Madeline is all about proper etiquette and attire. She believes in wearing feminine clothing. You will probably find lots of pinks and whites in her closet, along with many earrings and necklaces.
Personality: For most people, the words "Ice Queen" come to mind when meeting Madeline. Why shouldn't they? The woman has all the charm and looks of a perfect boarding school brat. Madeline believes in all things civilized and proper, the key to life is following the rules, and enjoying the simple pleasures along the way is only the icing on the cake. Madeline may not be as sugary sweet as Kat, yet, she is neither as chill or harsh as Raven. Consider the teacher a mix between the two females, a woman on medium ground. After all, how horrible can someone be if they like children?
Biography: Madeline Marie Crossette was born the one and only child to Elizabeth and Richard Crossette, two very rich, yet very busy parents. Both her mother and father loved their beautiful daughter dearly. It was just...neither had time to raise a child. So it came to be at the tender age of seven, Madeline was sent off to an all girls boarding school in hopes that she would obtain an education of sorts and be taken care of. Like most institutions of the private nature, Madeline's days were kept busy not only with standard educational classes, but also activities such as dance, cooking, etiquette, etc. The adjustment wasn't easy for Madeline, and her youth was troubled to say the least. More frequently than not, she would spend her evenings visiting the neighboring boys school across the way. After a time, though, that stopped, and the girl grew into the woman she currently is. Music was always Madeline's favorite subject as she was growing up, and so when she discovered her love of children in college, the woman quickly put two and two together, working towards a goal which would allow her to teach music. A job which incorporated both of her loves.
She finished the first few years without incident, receiving both the basic degrees one could obtain. In an effort to specialize her abilities as best she could, Madeline continued onto a University education. Yet, life became complicated during her second year of schooling, troubles with her parents and a sour relationship threatened to destroy all she had worked for. So when a professor of Madeline’s offered to set her up with a substitute job at growing institution named "D-Corp", Madeline quickly agreed to it. It wasn't a music teaching position, or a real teaching position for that matter...and the pay wasn't nearly enough to support Madeline with the comfortable life style she was used to living...none the less, good things come in small packages, and for now the substitute was content.

About Me: Hi~ My name is Gabriela, as stated above, Gabs for short. I've been on Gaia since 03 and have been RPing since around the same time. I'm a pretty sweet girl, whose open to almost anything and I love to meet new online RP buddies. I'm active in many shops and consider RP a hobby that I enjoy and am good at! And I'm here cause my poor characters are tired of never getting to meet anyone. ;0
Likes/Dislikes (IN RP):'m totally the type of person who loves to chat it up outside of RP! No, we don't have to be the best of friends, but I would like to talk character development, plots and or just chatter on AIM or MSN. It's hard for me to get my character to connect to another character, when the person whose playing that other character wants nothing to do with me except just strait RP. It's like...being used. =(
I will RP most plots and am for the most am flexible with ideas, all you have to do is run them by me first.
P.S. I am a busy girl, please don't be expecting me at the drop of a hat to come runnin' and RP with you. (This is said not out of bitchiness past problems/experience.)
Style: I tend to adapt my style to that of the player I am role playing with. I enjoy longer posts and that explore psychological experience of my character as opposed to the physical action going on around them.
I also don't like to sit down and role play for hours, finishing one plot in one sitting is difficult for me. Little bits over time is best.
Availability: Weekends are better for me, though I'm also good for sporadic response throughout the weekdays. It really depends on how busy my classes keep me.
What I want for the character:For now, I'm just looking for someone who can be a constant in Maddie's life, her current IC situation has been a bit of a downer. She's rather a slave to her job and family, it would be nice if she had someone supportive around who could re-instill her confidence and let her know she can have fun and will still be just fine.
