Welcome fellow guilds members to the Red, White, and Black Action News. This is Bagera_Luna143 as your reporter. In todays news.... Are hotel glasses and cups safe to drink or a breeding place for germs. At every single hotel, regardless of price, the glasses were simply rinsed out and left for the next guest. Some hotels used dirty bath towels to wipe the glasses. One hotel employee rinsed the glasses after cleaning the toilet—using the same gloves. Another one sprayed the glasses with blue cleaning fluid that was marked "Do not drink." Fox Atlanta has turned the results of the investigation over to the local health department. Experts interviewed in the video maintain that this isn't just a case of "ew, gross" but a very serious health code violation. Dirty glasses spread disease. Truly disgusting. In other news Tonight is the Lunar Eclipse For the east coast people It should be around about 7 P.M. And for us west coast people should be around 10 P.M. DON'T MISS IT because the next one wont be until Dec. 20 2010 So for to night folks good night. The news was brought to you from FOXNews.com

Welcome again fellow guild members to another Red, White, and Black Action news. This is Bagera_Luna143 as your reporter tonight. In todays news... Deathly Earthquake in Nevada A strong earthquake shook rural northeastern Nevada Thursday, damaging a town's historic district but sparing residents from any serious injuries. The magnitude of the quake, initially estimated at 6.3, was later revised to 6.0 by the U.S. Geological Survey's National Earthquake Information Center in Golden, Colo. The quake, which struck at 6:16 a.m., was centered in a sparsely populated area 11 miles southeast of Wells near the Nevada-Utah line. It was felt across much of the West, from northern Idaho and Utah to Southern California, officials said. At least five less severe aftershocks were reported. "Definitely a lot of people felt this, and if they were sleeping, they were awoken," said USGS geophysicist Carrieann Bedwell. Click here to read more on this story from MyFOXUtah.com. The most serious damage was reported in Wells' largely unoccupied historic district, Elko County Undersheriff Rocky Gonzalez said. Brick facades tumbled off several buildings, signs fell and windows broke, and some vehicles parked on the street were damaged by falling debris, KELK Radio in Elko reported. Dan Burns, spokesman with the Nevada Division of Emergency Management, said transportation and safety personnel were inspecting roads, bridges and dams in the area for structural damage. Burns said at least two buildings in historic area had partially collapsed, and two main water lines had ruptured. A Flying J Truck Stop was evacuated because of a propane leak, Gonzalez said, but no fires broke out. The leak was contained by midmorning. Union Pacific Rail Road suspended traffic so its tracks could be inspected. Service later resumed, a spokeswoman said. In Wendover, Utah, on the Nevada-Utah line, Tammy Wadsworth was ironing clothes when the quake hit. "I kept thinking, 'When is it going to quit?' A couple pictures fell off the walls," she said. "One of my grandkids ran outside. They didn't know what else to do. It scared them." Tony Lowry, an assistant professor of geophysics at Utah State University, said the size of the quake and its location was unusual. "In that part of Nevada, I don't think we've seen any like that in the last 150 years or so," Lowry said. "It's not one of the places we would've looked or expected." So for tonight folks, good night. The news was brought to you by FOXNews.com

Thank you for that special report Tora17. Welcome again fellow guild members to another Red, White, and Black Action News. This is Bagera_Luna143 as your reporter tonight. In todays news.... Man Accused of Killing Daughter Who Text Messaged Boy Had History of Mental Issues NEW YORK — To neighbors, Miguel Matias was a doting father who took his three children to restaurants and bought them presents. But the unassuming building supervisor also had a dark side, including a history of violence and mental problems. Police said his torment peaked last week when he grew so enraged that his 14-year-old daughter, Ana, was sending text messages to a boy that he choked her and stuffed her body into a burning furnace boiler. The killing shocked friends and family -- especially a cousin who received a phone call from Matias in which he calmly described what he had done. "He called me, and said `I have a problem. I killed Ana,"' Pablo Castillo said. "I couldn't believe what he said to me." Castillo rushed to the apartment, went down to the basement with police and saw a body in the boiler. "I looked for about a second and then I could not look anymore. I saw part of a burned body. I couldn't look any more. I couldn't believe it," he said, speaking in Spanish. Police said Matias, 34, was being held at Bellevue Hospital Center and awaiting arraignment on charges of murder and manslaughter. It wasn't clear if he had an attorney. Related The medical examiner's office is conducting tests to confirm that the body in the boiler was that of Ana and whether the teen was dead or alive before she was stuffed into it. Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said last weekend that Matias called police and said he dumped her body in a wooded area. But when officers searched the building Saturday, they discovered a body in the boiler. The killing has raised questions about whether Matias should have had visitation rights for his children and whether he received the proper psychiatric care. Matias was institutionalized after trying to set a car on fire with his children inside in Pennsylvania, police said. Family members said it was only after one of his sons said goodbye to his sister that Matias changed his mind and decided not to torch the car. It was not clear why he continued to have visitation rights after that. Family members said that before Ana's death, Matias wanted to seek psychiatric help. They said he had applied for government insurance to cover the expense of counseling, but was denied. Matias also tried to hang himself while in police custody last weekend. His emotional problems apparently tore apart him and his wife, Jocelyn, several years ago, family members said. A few weeks ago, she moved to Pennsylvania with Ana and her two younger brothers. "He was a good father and she was a good daughter," said Matias' mother, Natalia Aquino, 50, sobbing as she clenched a few crumpled tissues. "I don't know why he did that." Family and friends described Ana as a vivacious and well-dressed 8th-grader who dreamed of becoming a model. Matias often gave her money to get her hair and nails done. "She was always dancing and taking pictures," said Matias' 29-year-old sister, Casandra. "She always wanted to look cute." Casandra Matias said her brother never abused Ana. She claimed the girl said she wanted to stay with her father instead of moving to Pennsylvania. Her aunts believe Ana may have had boyfriend in New York. "She sounded happy," said friend Trene Simmons, 11, who spoke to Ana about a week before the teen's death. "She never mentioned something going on between her and her father." Tenants in Matias' building said he was a quiet and courteous supervisor who was always ready to lend a hand when they had problems in their apartments. But "you never know when you can be talking to a demon," said Xiomare Cedeno, 49, who lives in the building. Family members are struggling to cope with the tragedy. "I have a photo of her that I keep looking at," said Castillo, the uncle who saw the burning body. "I can't eat, I can't sleep. All I think about is this event and wonder, how could it have happened?" So for tonight folks, good night The news was brought to you buy FOXNews.com

Welcome once again fellow guild members to another Red, White, and Back Action News. This is your reporter Bagera_Luna143 as your reporter tonight. In todays news... Man Kicked, Beat Toddler Because He's 'Not a Morning Person' EASTON, Pa. — A man who admitted he beat his girlfriend's 2-year-old son offered an excuse that angered a judge: He said he's not a morning person. Juan Arreola, 20, pleaded guilty Friday to two counts each of endangering the welfare of a child, reckless endangerment and simple assault. Prosecutors said while moving into a new apartment with his girlfriend on June 7, Arreola kicked her son out of the way, then squeezed the toddler's face. While looking after the boy three days later, he punched the boy twice, prosecutors said. Arreola's girlfriend brought the child to a hospital later that day, where he was diagnosed with bleeding around the brain. Photos show the boy with severe bruising on his face and back. When Northampton County Judge F.P. Kimberly McFadden asked Arreola Friday if that's how he regularly treated 2-year-olds, he replied: "I was working till midnight. I'm not a morning person." McFadden said she was almost speechless. "You're going to look at me straight in the face and say 'I'm not a morning person,'?" she asked. The judge ordered Arreola to undergo psychological and psychiatric evaluations and set sentencing for Dec. 14. The maximum penalty is a state prison term of more than 20 years. Welcome once again fellow guild members to another Red, White, and Back Action News. This is your reporter Bagera_Luna143 as your reporter tonight. In todays news... Skier Survives Alaska Avalanche After Being Buried for as Many as 40 Minutes ANCHORAGE, Alaska — A skier was rescued from a massive avalanche that buried him for as many as 40 minutes Saturday near the site where another slide killed two snowmobilers earlier this month. Ian Wilson of Portland, Ore., was blue and unresponsive when he was pulled out from 4 feet of snow, but was able to talk before he was transported to an Anchorage hospital, Alaska State Troopers said. The 24-year-old, who was vacationing in Alaska, was later discharged from the hospital, said Lt. Barry Wilson, the statewide search and rescue coordinator. "It has been an exciting, exciting day," said Wilson, who is not related to the skier. "Nobody died from this latest incident." The avalanche was reported just five minutes after searchers recovered the body of Christoph Vonalvensleben, 25, one of the snowmobilers killed in the Feb. 15 avalanche in backcountry about 65 miles outside Anchorage. State transportation workers assisting in the recovery effort saw the avalanche and notified troopers around 2:15 p.m., Wilson said. Within five minutes, volunteer rescuers and search dogs were heading to the new avalanche site three miles away. By the time they arrived, the buried skier, who was wearing a locator beacon, had been found by other skiers, including a medic with the U.S. Forestry Service, Wilson said. "It was a perfect storm of help," he said. "The odds were in this person's favor for survival." As many as 25 skiers were in the area of the avalanche, but only one other skier was hit. The skier was knocked down by the slide's powder blast, but not completely submerged in the deep snow. "He was not hurt as far as I know," Wilson said. Poor weather had prevented rescuers from recovering Vonalvensleben's body. Also killed in that slide was Jeremy Stark, 25, whose body was recovered Wednesday by a group of friends. The Chugach National Forest Avalanche Information Center had warned that avalanche conditions continued in the area. The recovery effort on Saturday included using explosives to bring down hazardous snowpacks for the safety of searchers, troopers said. Wilson said the explosives were set off four hours before the avalanche and were not considered the cause. Troopers had warned that the explosives could trigger slides on nearby slopes and urged the public to stay clear of the area. Avalanches have killed at least 32 people across the West since Dec. 2, according to the U.S. Forest Service National Avalanche Center. So for tonight folks, good night. Welcome once again fellow guild members to another Red, White, and Back Action News. This is your reporter Bagera_Luna143 as your reporter tonight. In todays news... Police Cite Possible Drowning, Poisoning in Deaths of 3 New York Children GARDEN CITY, N.Y. — Three young children found dead in a bed after their mother called police claiming she killed them appeared to have been drowned, although one's throat was cut and all showed signs of possible poisoning, a homicide detective said. Investigators are still trying to determine the precise cause of death for the children, but they are looking at several disturbing clues in the home. Police suspect that Leatrice Brewer drowned two boys and one girl — ages1, 5 and 6 — and proceeded to tuck them into bed in their pajamas. "They almost looked as though they were sleeping," said Lt. Michael Fleming, commander of the Nassau homicide squad. "It almost looked like they were cuddled up together for the night." Fleming said foaming around the victim's mouths and noses could be a symptom of drowning or could indicate the children were poisoned with a toxic substance such as bleach. He also said the 6-year-old girl's throat was cut. Brewer, 27, was at the Nassau University Medical Center for injuries she suffered from jumping out of their second-story apartment window, police said. Her arraignment was postponed until Tuesday on the advice of doctors, a spokesman for District Attorney Kathleen Rice said. The children were found by police at a two-story apartment building in an impoverished neighborhood in New Cassel in Nassau County on Sunday after Brewer called 911 and said she "killed her babies," Fleming said. "She even spelled her name to the 911 operator." When officers went inside the apartment, they found Jewell Ward, 6, Michael Demesyeux, 5, and Innocent Demesyeux, 1, in a bed in their nightclothes, with the youngest in the middle. It was not immediately known if Brewer, who some neighbors described as troubled, was represented by an attorney. Brewer, who had six arrests — two felonies and four misdemeanors — on her record dating to 2000, was described by some as troubled, including two men who identified themselves as the children's fathers and said they had fought in vain to have the children removed from Brewer's custody. "Whenever I tried to get my daughter, Family Court wouldn't let me," said Jewell's father, Ricky Ward. "The courts wouldn't hear me out. I blame this on Leatrice Brewer and Family Court." Innocent Demesyeux, the father of the two boys, told reporters he had been battling Brewer for custody for more than a year. One neighbor, Cornisha Robinson, said she saw Brewer pushing an empty stroller in the street last week and wondered where the children were. "She neglected them," Robinson said. "She used to leave them in the house all the time by themselves." Relatives, however, saw things differently. "My sister's not crazy," Brewer's brother Robert McCord said. "She's not ballistic. This is a shock to all of us." A cousin, Robin Brooks, said Brewer is "a woman that needed help. She felt everyone was against her." The killings are the latest in a series of high-profile child killing cases across the country, including those of Andrea Yates, who drowned her five children in the family's Houston bathtub in 2001, and LaShaun Harris, convicted of tossing her three young sons into San Francisco Bay in 2005. Both women stood trial on murder charges but were ultimately declared legally insane — Harris by a judge and Yates by a jury in her retrial. In other developments, County Executive Tom Suozzi announced a review of the Social Services agency's contacts with the family to determine whether anything could have been done to prevent the tragedy. Calls to the agency were referred to Suozzi's office, which said the investigation could take several weeks. "Obviously something went seriously wrong, and we need to determine whether part of that wrong was with the system itself," Suozzi said. So for tonight folks, good night. Teacher Jayne DeArmond was arrested Wednesday for investigation of possession of a firearm on a school campus and misdemeanor child endangerment after students at Diamond Elementary School found the weapon, said Angela Burrell, a spokeswoman for the Santa Ana Unified School District. Students had access to the cabinet, where the gun and ammunition were kept in a drawer, Burrell said. DeArmond was released on $20,000 bail late Wednesday and no longer works at the school, Burrell said. It wasn't immediately clear if DeArmond had retained an attorney. Welcome once again fellow guild members to another Red, White, and Back Action News. This is your reporter Bagera_Luna143 as your reporter tonight. In todays news... Pirates Seize Control of Luxury French Yacht Off Coast of Somalia PARIS — Pirates seized control of a French luxury yacht carrying 30 crew members Friday in the Gulf of Aden off Somalia's coast, the French government and the ship's owner said. Attackers stormed the three-mast Le Ponant as it returned without passengers from the Seychelles, in the Indian Ocean, toward the Mediterranean Sea, said officials with French maritime transport company CMA-CGM. "This is a blatant act of piracy," Prime Minister Francois Fillon told reporters while on a visit to Brussels. "The Defense and Foreign Ministries are mobilized to act as quickly as possible, I hope in the coming minutes or hours to try to win the freedom of these hostages." He did not elaborate. France has considerable military resources in the region, including a base in Djibouti and a naval flotilla circulating in the Indian Ocean. The ship was in the high seas in the Gulf of Aden, off Somalia's coast in the Indian Ocean, the ministry said. At least some of the crew members are French. The company declined to identify any other crew member nationalities. "French authorities are handling the situation," Jean-Emmanuel Sauvee, managing director of La Compagnie des Iles du Ponant, told reporters in the southeastern city of Marseille, where his subsidiary of CMA-CGM is based. The company did not want to comment further so as not to endanger the crew members held hostage, he said. According to the company's Web site, the 288-foot boat features four decks, two restaurants, and indoor and outdoor luxury lounges. It can hold up to 64 passengers. Le Ponant was next scheduled to carry passengers as part of a 10-day, 7-night trip from Alexandria, Egypt, to Valletta, Malta starting April 19. Prices started at $3,465, not including air fare or taxes. Pirates seized more than two dozen ships off Somalia's coast last year. Denmark's government paid a ransom to win the release in August of the crew of a Danish cargo ship that was hijacked by Somali pirates some two months after they were taken captive. The U.S. Navy has led international patrols to try to combat piracy in the region. Last year, the guided missile destroyer USS Porter opened fire to destroy pirate skiffs tied to a Japanese tanker. Wracked by more than a decade of violence and anarchy, Somalia does not have its own navy, and a transitional government formed in 2004 with U.N. help has struggled to assert control. The International Maritime Bureau, which tracks piracy, said in its annual report earlier this year that global pirate attacks rose 10 percent in 2007, marking the first increase in three years.
