Go home, Dal… The demon lion stood in the woods, the blood in his veins boiling. For what reason? Anger? Disappointment? Sadness? The double-set of horns shimmered in the dim light, piercing red eyes staring down at the small pool of water below him. Thorned vines sprouted slowly from the earth, whipping about. Bleeding yellow roses no longer bloomed at the end of the whip-like weapons, through bruised and decayed petals still stuck to the thorns. Why couldn’t he? Why was it so hard to go home, even now? He knew he would, though. Eventually. But he couldn’t, not like this; with a dented pride and a shattered heart.

Everything was so calm now, finally Natasha has settled down to this new world. She missed her home in the heavens and she was frightened of hell, but she wouldn't be able to go to either. Or was this world hell? With a heavy sigh Natasha lept from limb to limb, scanning over the area of forest she called her own. A small lake, a nice nest of boughs to make her 'den'. She was comfortable, only touching to ground when she had too.
A gust came wafting through the limbs of the trees and she caught it. That scent. She hated that smell. It was a male, and by the smell of it he wasn't too happy. She was going to show him a piece of her mind. He can go around her little area she called home, but would he even be phased by her poor english? Making her way silently from bough to bough she finally saw him a few trees away. This was hell... and he looked like the devil...

His tail flicked violently and the thorned vines weaved around the boughs, setting on the ground around the other like snakes threatening to strike. "What do you want, lioness." Crimson eyes looked towards the lioness. Something rang in his voice. That sense of sorrow that seemed to lurk within, now showing in the hollowness of his voice. He ran his tongue over his maw, a deep growl resonating in his throat. He wasn't in the mood to deal with others. Not now. Not while he was like this.

Natasha eyed him, how was she going to deal with the devil? He had already kept her from his gates but has he come to take her away now? "You leave area now." She said in a strong tone, trying to keep her voice from wavering. But how could she try and sound serious when she couldn't speak very well and was secretly afraid of him? Males had done so much to her... how could this one be any different.
"Didn't you hear? Leave!" She growled, keeping her perch as it gave her a sense of comfort.

A low growl shook the ground and he watched her closely. The thorned vines snaked up the tree to her perch, though stopped as they neared her. His eyes pressed clossed and he turned away from her. Why coudn't he do it? Was this state really that pitiful? "If you want me gone, I'll leave." The sound of sorrow and greif breached through his voice and Dalibor licked his maw, glancing down at his reflection in the water for a moment before stepping away.

She was going to hate herself for this. "You.... you stay." She said as she fluttered to the ground as best as she could with her clipped wings. How was she supossed to even have one friend if she kept running them off? "Sorry." She said straight up. "Why you here?" Although she seemed demanding she had to at least talk to him and figure out why... even if he looked like the devil. She told herself, any time she felt uncomfortable she'd retreat to the trees...

Crimson eyes glanced towards her coldly, flicking to her clipped wings, back to her form. He let out a low growl as she apologized. Why was she apologizing? Why did she care? Turning, he whipped his tail behind him, the thorned vines shooting back into the earth. "Don't apologize." is voice was low, gruff. Standing tall, the double set of horns glimmered. Blood from the wounds that never closed dripped to the ground, the only sound that was heard for a long moment.
"I needed some silence. I needed to think. To gather myself." Why was he talking? Why was he spilling these words to this lioness he didn't know?

"Then you think. Right there. I be back." She said as she hovered back to the tree tops and darted away for a moment. If he had as sharp hearing as she in this silence he could have easily heard the helpless cry of something small in the distance.
It wasn't too long that Natasha returned, the suspecting look this covering her face as she eyed the devil lion again. "You think enough?" She said as she stayed in the comfort zone of the tree limbs.

Dalibor was seated in the shade of a tree by the time she return, and his gaze flicked towards her. "Did you go help that..." An ear flicked. "Thing?" He had heard the sound, the cries.
He was silent for another few moments. "I can never think to much. After what happened..." He gave a dim, dark chuckle. Perhaps he was going insane... "I'll never stop thinking."

Natasha could help but glare when he called the cries a 'thing'. But she wouldn't tell him what it was, she simply stayed quite at his question. She was about to flutter down from the branches again, curious at what he said but his chuckle get her tree-bound. "What happen?" She said half demanding but also half sentimental. If only she had the courage to tell him what happened to her... she was sure they would have interesting stories to exchange with each other. Flicking her tail behind her she waited for some kind of reply.

The chuckles stopped, and the lion regained the grim expression, his gaze adverted to the side. "My love turned out not to be my love. She lied to me, brole my trust. Had my children, turned one to hate me and the other to serve her, and drove me away." His tone had returned to calmness, the voice of what lingered from before he had become this darkhearted being. Was it possible that the devil was in sorrow? That the devil felt pain in that heart that shouldn't have been there?

So he wasn't the devil after all... the devil didn't have feelings, even Natasha knew that but she just couldn't sympthize with such an evil looking being. "I have child. Not by will." She said, finally letting herself fall gracefully from the branches that had held her safely above him. "She cry." She continued, hoping to answer the previous question about the 'thing'.
It was now that she curiously paced about him, even though he was laying down, she could still inspect him as he seemed more depressed then avengeful. She stretched out her clipped wings then folded them back into her sides. "Why you all way out here?" She questioned, still observing him.

Dalibor arched a brow, glancing to her as she spoke and inspected him. "I'm sorry." He murmured lightly, resting his head on his folded paws. So that's what that noise was. An ear flicked. No wonder something inside him panged when he had heard it. Just like his children...
Shaking the thoughts from his head, Dalibor looked back to her. "I'm going home." He murmured lightly. "Going back to be with my family. They live on the other side of this forest. Or, that's where it's easiest to find them."

"Family with cubs?" She said slightly confused. Why would he return to someone who didn't love him? It seemed quite strange, but then again she had run across much stranger lions in the forest besides a reincarnation of the devil.
Her tail flicked at the end, showing that she was still slightly curious but more relaxed. Her muscles had loosened a little but she still held her gaurd. There were few, if any actually, that she trusted to be around, besides her daughter that is.

"No" He murmured lightly, glancing up to her, eyes relaxed. "My mother, my father, and my two sisters." Nodding, he paused a moment. "My mother is half demon, my father full. Though, they will not harm unless provoked." Closing his eyes, he flicked an idle ear. Was that an invitation? Of course, the lioness was free to follow him around. He would be different to her, though, than his sister had been to her velocelion followers.
