Hey just out of pure curiosity i wanted to know what songs other bands are playing for their festival band. well down where i come from we know it as MPA. I don't know what other people may call it.

Where I live the band festival is call the Great East Festival and we're playing : - the Simpsons - Crystal Moon - Chorale Gan't ( not sure if I spelled it right) - To a Skylark.

if competion is basically the same thing then yes we are going to NYSMA (NY state music association) for a competion

Our band isn't really sure.
I know we're playing "Variations on a Korean Folk Song" though.

We do things all differently here (I live overseas) We did our festival in late November. But our songs were, Kentucky 1800 (Love that piece) On a hymn song of Phillip Bliss Wheatland

well my band just got back from a rated copetition yesterday (not a placing one) and we had three judges we got 1's straight across the board yeah! its th first time our school has got perfect 1's in 4 years yeah us! we played "days of glory" and "first landing celebration" and took we home the trophy

[ ] We had our Regionals yesterday. We played Early Light, Be Thou My Vision, and Pastime: A Salute to Baseball. We got an Excellent/II. Since other regions are still competing this week, we're not sure if we made it to State or not. [ ]

i don't know why we aren't going to play resplendent glory, too but whatever.......

[ ] you got to play be thou my vision? we were gonna play that and had practiced it some, but mr. gibbs found out it wasn't on the list so we couldn't... how come you got too?? what state are you in?

We call it MPA in the sunshine state. If you live there, then you know what I'm talking about. I'm playing Down by the salley gardens, canticle of the sun, and honor roll march.
