A nice afternoon meeting.

The sun shone brightly upon the earth bathing it all in a bright warmth that warmed the mare as she left the safety, and shade, of the tree line and made toward the glistening, gleaming, stream.

Pale lilac, or maybe lavender, eyes looked around as she stopped infront of the water her pale nearly snowwhite hair glistening like stands of soft woven gold in the suns light. Noting the ice blocks and chucks bobbing at the streams surface and floating down stream she was sure the water would be as cold as winter had been but it was that which appealed to her and had her dipping her head to take a slow gentle drink, slow so she didn't get a chill.

While she dipped her head to do this beads chimed togather as the beads in her hair moved against each other. Her horn tip just touching the waters surface while wingers that were like a sheer white fabric turned into wings fluttered upon her back.

Livi had woke early afternoon, feeling the warmth of the sun tug at his eyelids. In the last hours of his rest, a soft noise pulled at his consciousness. His ears twisted this way and that, searching for the sound. Falling quiet, he could hear it again, now. It was the quiet trickle of a nearby stream.

Pushing his knees up, he raised his chest, letting the rest of his body continue to carry him to a standing position. With a jerk of his coat, to loosen the bits of earth from his stormy blue and purple body, he turned to follow the sound. It had to be close for him to hear such a sound.

Following a small curve in the land, he saw the stream and approached it with a steady pace. His head dipped forward, cocking slightly up, noticing that someone else had been pulled to the new found stream.

As he drew quietly closer, his red-brown eye was surrounded by white. His mouth, drew in a slow breath. This wasn't just anyone.. It was a lady of a mare. She was bent over the stream, her horn calling dreamlike ripples that danced around the ones caused from her drinking lips.

A chill swept over Livius. He had seen a few mares, but never had one take his breath away. Before he could notice anymore about the mares appearance, he dropped his eyes to the ground and cleared his throat politely. Even if she could very well be one of the prettiest mares he had yet to meet, he shouldn't stare.

So, regaining his composure, he cleared his throat to announce himself. "Good afternoon." He almost added the word 'madam' at the end of his greeting, but kept it off. Such formalities weren't too far from him, but didn't seem necessary for the chance meeting.

It had been the sound of the stream while walking through the trees, careful not to catch anything on twigs or branches, that had brought her to this stream for a view and then a drink, which had been a rather sudden decision on her part.

What she hadn't been expecting was company but it seemed she had jst that as her ears pricked and twitched at the sound of a voice which she noted was distinctly male.

Lifting her her head hair falling perfectly around her and again those beads making a soft sound she turned her head slowly toward the male just as pale purple eyes opened gently.

"Ohh...umm good afternoon." A light nodding of her head, she was shy, and hadn't encountered a Soquili of the opposite gender thus far save for Lyra whom she lived with.

Livius listened to her voice, carefully staring through the blades of grass in which his eyes tried to focus on. After hearing her voice, he couldn't help but look up at her again. Her dreamy blue face put him in a stupor. She was positively beautiful. Upon noticing this, the blood began to rise to his cheeks uncontrollably. The round of his face turned a different shade of red, blended by his purple and blue mask.

Locking his knees, he tried to will the flush from his face. He was as stiff as a dormant tree in the middle of winter. His heart however, was altogether racing with a life of it's own, as if trying to take over every vein in his body with force.

A drink! That would surely help. Dropping his head down quickly, awkwardly, he began to take a drink. His eyes focused to one side, starring into the blur of water.

Not even thinking about the temperature of the water, it raped into his chest with a bitter bite. He had gulped the water in his desperate attempt to right the way he felt, and it had worked. Now he stood with his face above the water, coughing to try and seize the cold from his throat.

He squinted his eyes, feeling embarrassed, not wanting to look at the beautifully adorned mare again. At least his cheeks weren't red anymore....

Opening his eyes and taking a deep breath, he began to smile at how odd he must seem. His eyes looked at the mare, the smirk leaving a twinkle in his eye, to be caught with a return chance gaze perhaps, before he dropped his eyes back to the ground.

Watching the interestingly colored stallion her pale eyed took his form in before she lowered her head shyly, she was a shy thing that was for sure. She just...felt odd and quite about others shy to an extreme maybe, as some might think it such.

Taking note of the color to the other Soquili's face she blinked once. "Is...is something wrong?" She asked even as his posture seemed to..stiffen. Was something wrong? Was it her or was it something else perhaps? It seemed odd for him to turn color in the face and become so stiff, at least as far as she knew it wasn't normal.

Watching then in shock and surprise as he dipped to the water and gulped from it. A warning about to leave her mouth as she planned to warn him of the coldness of the water. It seemed though there was no need for it...as it seemed that as soon as he'd gulped it down he was lifting his head back and was coughing.

"I should have told you sooner..." As if it were her own fault. "It is very cold the water..." She whispered the last part since it was pointless to say now really.

Looking him over to see if he were alright she moved closer. "Are you alright? That water is really cold and can be quite nasty to gulp down like you did." She spoke softly concern in her soft voice.

Livius cleared his throat. "Excuse, me. I don't know what came over me." He tried to pull himself back together. Would he lie? He could tell her the sun was in his eyes... He took a deep breath. "It's not your fault that the water was so frigid. I acted quickly, and should of known that for myself." He wouldn't run away and hide, she seemed worth his time and his explanation. "You see, I was caught off guard...when you were hear drinking from the stream." He didn't tell her that it was driven by her beauty.

He took a breath, remembering to breath. "My manners must of fell out the back of my mind. I am Livius." He said as he lowered his chin to the ground in a small dip. It was a small break from looking at her beauty, and would help him keep his cool.

Yes, in the short time he talked to her, he continued to notice her even more. The fragile pearls that hung from her hair, the beacon of soft ice that was her horn, the stars of the night framed on her cheek....and her eyes. He had almost lost himself again when he noticed her gentle eyes.

A soft smile and a nod of her head. "Yes the water is rather frigid but the floating ice means spring has come and soon it will not be quite so frigid." Which was surely a good thing, though she did prefer the cooler tempature of water to drink, but spring meant flowers and spring showers also which would be quite nice to see.

"I was rather caught off gaurd by your arrival, I had not expected to meet another Soquili, I have met so few Soquili." Only Lyra, and Bara thus far.

Watching the stallion bow and introduce himself she did the same and smiled. "Lady Requiem...though you can call me Requiem, it's not quite such a mouthful." She said gently as she stood up tall once more.

Upon her cheek was indeed a constellation mapped out but also such pattern, though different in form, was mapped out upon her body in two other places. She did look quite fragile, like a snowflake or icicle that could melt or be snapped easily.

"Perhaps my next drink should be taken gingerly." He pictured her drinking from the water again, a serene picture indeed. Her delicate beauty would be remembered long after this moment was gone.

Lady Requiem he repeated the name in his mind. It was a fitting name. "A lady by any other name, would not be as beautiful as yours, Lady Requiem." He told her with a glaze in his eyes. It was easy to feel dazed around her. Blinking to shake the feeling, he continued. "Requiem, if you wish, you may call me Livi. It's one my mother calls me and it has stuck with me since." Of course, he never met his biological mother, but Ayelet was his real mother as far as he was concerned.

"I didn't mean to catch you off guard. Forgive me. I heard the stream in my dreams and woke curious to its bubbling life. This will be the first time I see winters end, you see. I'm sure it will end, but it still seems like such a struggle for the lands." he was babbling. He stopped and tried to shorten the subject. He had never been so talkative before!

"Are you still thirsty? I would enjoy another drink if you care to join me." This time, he wouldn't gulp it. A small flushing reminder of his embarrassment was felt. He ignored it.

"Yes that would be a very good idea, it would not due for you to gulp it and become so cold it would be as if you swallowed ice chunks." She spoke gently her head nodding gently as she spoke, horn and beads sparkling under the suns warm golden rays.

When Livi spoke so about her name she felt her cheeks warm and she knew it was not the suns doing for this sudden heat and ducked her head as she knew she must be blushing, she didn't know just how easily her fur though gave this fact away.

"You flatter me Livi when you have just only met me." A surprise but yet something that was nice, pleasent. And such words.

"I have not seen springs struggle against winter before either but I do so enjoy this struggle. I wish winter would remain myself. It's pure paleness is so lovely under the sun or moons blessed light shining upon the snow making it glitter like precious gems.

But I should like to see spring as well with it's many smells and bright colors." She spoke gently. She had yet to encounter spring but knew what spring was and was looking foward to seeing it and experiencing it. But looking at her...she looked like a child of winter with her pale soft looks.

Hearing his question, as soon as she had stopped babbling, something she never did! She nodded gently. "That would be lovely, another drink would be quite nice." She said softly her cheeks again heating up, and they had just started to cool!

A small sheepish grin covered him as he noticed the Lady blush slightly. He turned away, pretending not to notice. Surely he could never make her blush, the way she had for him. After a moment, he casually turned his eyes back to her.

Paying attention to detail, he let his eyes fall over the rest of her body quickly as she spoke. He wouldn't stare, but still wanted to look at her if he could. Her lustrous pearls draped over her sides and down her legs, and he caught sight of another few clusters of star markings. Her wings looked like delicate sheets of brittle ice. She was continually beautiful, from head down to her snow colored hooves.

He had looked her over for a short time, but did he go unnoticed? He quickly dropped his eyes towards the stream. "Yes, a cool drink that I'll take a little more sensibly this time." Craning his neck down, he glanced back up and waited. He would let her begin to drink first if he could. Whatever time he had to enjoy this chance meeting, he would go out of his way to try and be a gentleman.

She did look like she had just draped herself in the colors and look of winter itself and taken snow and ice and fashioned them into wings which she wore on her back, ice it looked like had been fashioned into pearls upon her but no she was not made of ice nor snow nor was she as cold as the winter which she looked like.

Pale lavander, or perhaps lilac, eyes had caught the staring as she turned her head away while blushing. Turning back she smiled then. "Yes...then let us drink." She said softly while lowering her head to the water. The tip of her horn casting our rippled from where tip met cold water. Gently drinking her lilac eyes were closed most of the way though they were cast toward the stallion by the water.

Scurrying out of the tree line and spying his owner the ferrets pale purple eyes watched Lady Requiem from a distance as Didier kept his distance.

Watching his mistress Lady Requiem drinking water his pale purple eyes then shifted to the male. This male...he would watc him. He didn't trust others, aside from Lyra (most of the time), near her. She was something he protected even though he did at times upset the soft spoken mare.

His mouth stopped right above the stream, as his eyes watched her take a drink first. He waited for the ripples from horn and lip, to collide into each other and send new ripples softly back to wince they came. With less than an inch between him and the water, he reached his mouth out and began to pull slow sips from the stream. It had quite a chill to it, but was pleasant in such small drinks. He was careful, yet carefully still to not take his eyes off the mare.

He closed his eyes once as he took in a deep, slow breath. His lungs heaved down with a slow exhale. Why did the simplest of things, like quenching his thirst, feel so enigmatic next to the perfect stranger?

He opened his eyes to see a blur of movement in the forest line. A defensive instinct welling up inside of him. He relaxed when he noticed the seemingly small animal. Odd that for a moment, he felt like a snake ready to pounce, all to protect Lady Requiem from any beast that might have brought her harm. He continued his casual drink, looking once more to her as she welcomed the stream into her frail lips.

Her own eyes strayed to the male a few times but she didn't notice his readiness to protect her had she had need of it, but she could sense already he was the sort who was a gentlemen and would protect others, that much was obvious already to her.

Gently taking the chilled water in past her lips she couldn't help the slight shivers it brought her but the crispness of the chilled water was something she was very fond of and so willed the shivers away in order to enjoy the chill water.

Lifting her head finally her wings fluttering gently she smiled lightly. Her hair falling neatly into place even while the beads in her hair made slight sounds as they shifted back to their normal posistion.

A long breath drawn in slowly before let out slowly in a relaxed and breathy manner. The coolness inside her leaving her feeling...well relaxed and calm in an odd sense really she wasn't sure how she felt but it was a good breathy sort of feeling that one only got when so calm and relaxed, and quite, like walking about late at night and you got the feel to walk a bit more slowly, gently, or in the winter you got the feel to touch things a bit softer so as not to ruin something. It was that same sort of calmness the chill water brought her being.
