So, anyone going to watch it tonight? Jw, but will it do me any benefits if I leave my wand out to charge on this day? Does it make it anymore special than any other moons?

~[TheMagicBirdy]~ So, anyone going to watch it tonight? Jw, but will it do me any benefits if I leave my wand out to charge on this day? Does it make it anymore special than any other moons? 'Ey there, welcome to the guild. Had no idea there was an eclipse going on, myself. It seems that an eclipse ought to be a sort of astrologically important event, as well as an astronomical one. What I think matters is if you think an eclipse is a special event worthy of charging your wand to, or whatnot--you know what I'm saying?

Not that being a novice is a bad thing, I just don't really want to make assumptions. So I don't know if you know this, but the subject of magic doesn't really have a standard agreement to what works or what doesn't. There are some who say things won't work or are impossible, and some who break all of those perceptions. But yeah, it does sound cool: hope I can see it. Again, welcome to the guild and you're free to ask us questions anytime.

I started this month but I have a decent understanding. I read that as magicians we're building our own truths, what may work with ourselves may not work with others so I understand that whole concept. I'm waiting for my copy of "Initiation into Hermetics" to plop up on my door! mrgreen

It was rather enjoyable sitting outside and watching it for however long I was out there. I took a few pictures, none too grand in quality. I might upload them if some people want to see, just let me know.

I might upload them if some people want to see, just let me know. I pussed out and watched it through my window. It's 20 degrees Fahrenheit here and I've been out in it all day working. I tried to think of something neat to do with it, but couldn't. I did read in another guild that apparently the eclipse also coincided with an alignment of Saturn and some star. Don't know if that's true or not.

I saw parts of it on the way home, but I missed the moment of totality. It was quite the experience, but I was freezing out there. sad

I had found a less satisfying version on Youtube.
D:
Speaking of the eclipse, I had made a comment that the eclipse was really God retrieving the Dinosaurs from the moon, a shadow being cast by his hands....

But we all know that Mr. Norris, MacGuyver, and Dr. Jones are not ordinary men. For crap's sake, Chuck Norris can run around the Earth fast enough to punch himself in the back of the head. I needn't go into the abilities of the other two.
