Clinton has been "slamming" Obama, saying all he has is rhetoric and not solutions. I've been disappointed in the way he's handled this criticism. I guess I think he should dismiss it for the bullshit that it is--but instead he's tried to incorporate more of his plans as president into his speeches.

It also bothers me how the media has legitimized this. What the hell does Hillary say that's so much more substantive than what Obama says?

I think he's playing it too safe right now. I don't want to see him let the opposition set the tone for the race like the Bush campaign did in '04.

Anyway, I just wanted to see what everyone's opinion on this was.

I think that most of the voting base will quickly realize that this is a blatant attack on the Obama campaign from the Clinton campaign that is only coming because she is slipping from her status as the default candidate. It bothers me somewhat that the news outlets are legitimizing it, but I'm not overly concerned as Obama has made clear in his remarks that he exchanges ideas and phrases with his close friends, including the man in question. If Hillary is concerned that Obama is not truly speaking with his own words, perhaps both campaigns should give up their speech writers and see how well they fare.

Obama is trying to do something that has not been occuring in American politics lately, he is trying to unite the country through common goals. Where his rhetoric and charisma come from are not entirely my concern, as long as his existence is the same. Whether he's a figurehead or a real person I'm not sure I care. He is bringing the country around, stands correctly (in my opinion) on most if not all positions, and is altogether the only candidate who is not a neo-conservative (or being advised by them).

I think Obama is just trying to close areas open to jabbing... if Hillary has nothing to use to strike with, Obama won't have anything to defend against.

Plain and simple: He's just being mature about this. Barrack is the type of guy who, even if it's the wrong attitude, will take critique and run with it. He's just simply playing her game -- and winning.

Persoanlly, I've always liked how non-schalaunt(sp?) his attitude was toward Hillary. Hillary always loses her cool when she gets angry or frustrated and then she often loses her point as well. Barrack, on the other hand, never really seems to lose his cool and always stays on track. No one's perfect, but he has a great temperament for being a president. 4laugh
