The writer of the movie Kindergarden Cop will be directiong the mother of all animes!!!
now, now, I know what your all thinking, and don't worry.
The movie is set to be in a CG animated format, so no lame actors screwing Astro like Zach Efron b***h slpapped the good Speed Racer !!!
Want to kill Zach!!!!

Actually, and as it would be clear with old (and, though not as bad as it used to be) anime dubs, voice actors can be responsable of as much of a shitfest as normal actors are.
Here's hoping it won't happen, but who knows... Atom could be voiced out by some nasal, idiotic spunk out of some slum with a voice that would look cheesy and childish if used for Sasami.
And BTW, it's not Speed Racer. I refuse to call it that. Mach rules, Speed drools.

ya i heard about that on a documentary...also james cameron ..the guy that made Titanic...is going to make Battle Angel Alita..its awesome if you haven't heard of it 3nodding

So you like watered down over classic.
The newer Astroboy is like the DiCaprio Romeo and Juliet movie. Even if you don't like Shakespeare, you should still feel sorry for the poor guy getting his work raped so badly like that.

And DiCrappio will most likely be either Tetsuo or Akira...
Dude, go back to acting in lame-a** movies about lame-a** communities living in lame-a** islands. rolleyes
Akira will be many levels of fail. For starters, they're going to move everything from Tokyo to NY... No kick-a** motorcycle, and I bet they're going to give the whole thing a massive re-scripting to make it "good for kiddies" since hey anime = little kids.
Nevermind Akira's all about stuff and people being blown up to atoms. And it's good as it is.
