Her darkened fur, the color of an oak tree's leaves in the middle of fall. Her little tail flicked as she walked through the snow. Oh yes, the snow.. She enjoyed it immensely and was quite upset to see that it was slowly melting away.
Sure, the air would remain cold, and the climate would be extremely hard like ice... But she liked hearing the crunch under her creme colored hooves.
Her scarlet orbs glanced about, and she flicked her little tail again. She'd begun to get lonely. Unsure of.. Why she seemed to be the only one around. She saw glances of others, sure. Briefly. And shadows dashed the trees as the silohuettes ran through the forest.
She let out a little pout.
"Oh Roxanne.. This is indeed something you should be over." She said, her pout still on her face, and her eyebrows forming the look of a sad puppy on her features.

But she only thought she was alone.. when infact, there were others out there just as lonely as she. If she would look into the distance, Roxanne would see a pair of reindeer moving together in the distance. Both of black and greyish color. One was a bull in his prime, with tall antlers, and the other a female that seemed to be younger than he. The two of them didn't notice the brown female for she wasnt' in their line of sight, and was downwind from them. They plodded on slowly, heedlessly... wandering a bit aimlessly as if unsure where to go. It had been some time since they had seen any reindeer other than each other.

Her body slowed, as a crunch was heard. Her ears perked, and she casted her red gaze to the sound. Her eyes were somewhat wide, even though noises werent unheard of in something as busy as a forest.
She peered, slowly, around a tree that she'd been standing next to, and her gaze fell upon two other reindeer. Well they were moving at quite a normal pace! Unlike the others who just ran by..
She was unsure of whether to call out or not, but her loneliness made her desperate for attention.
"Hello!" She called, a bright smile on her face as she saw the older Bull and a seemingly younger cow.

The pair both stopped and turned to look in the direction of the call, ears turned forwards. Brown and blue eyes blinked in surprise, catching sight of the brown cow with the red eyes. She was certainly not from their herd.
"Hello!" the bull called back, glancing back to his daughter before the both of them started to go in the unfamiliar cow's direction. "Who might you be?" the cow then asked, seemingly curious. The bull was curious as well, but seemed to hold it in better than his daughter. They hadn't seen another reindeer in some time, and it was certainly a refreshing change.

She liked the looks of these two, though it was obvious by their resemblence they were related in some way. She cocked her head, giving a soft smile.
"My name is Roxanne.. Roxy for short." She said, smiling again.
"It's so lovely to see others.. I had begun to think no one was up for conversations..." Then she shook her head and laughed.
"Ever."
She looked back up at them both and bowed her head slowly.
"Pleasure to meet you.. What may I call you two?"

Oeric chuckled as they finally came within distance to carry a decent conversation without shouting. "I have to agree.. its nice to see other herla. My name is Oeric... and this is my daughter, Zelda." The bull nodding to the cow beside him as he introduced her.
Zelda then tilted her head slightly, looking the other over for a moment. "So do you come from a herd, or are you all by yourself?" Surely if she was in a herd, the others wouldn't avoid her.. unless there was something wrong with her.. which there didn't appear to be. Or perhaps she just had lose contact with her herd, as they had with theirs.

"Well its lovely to meet you both. I've been alone for so long, I was beginning to believe I was the only one in the area."
She gave a flick of her stubby tail, and blinked a bit, her eyes blinking, and repeating their names to memory.
"Lovely names.."
She said, just to offer it up. Hey, it was polite.. right?
"A herd?" She looked at the young female named Zelda and smiled, shaking her head.
"Sadly no.. I haven't been here terribly long.. But from what I remember.. I've never been part of any herd." She said, looking at them both.
"Are you guys in a herd?"

"Yes... or... well we use to be" Oerica replied with a bit of a frown on his snout. He glanced at Zelda again for a moment before heaving a sigh, "We lost track of the others. We might be the only ones left for all we know." Predators could have come and killed off the others. The others included two of his own cows, Zelda's mother being one of them. It was a shame really... he rather missed them.
Zelda's eyes turned downward, also wishing that their herd members were still around... particularly her mother. "But atleast we have each other... right?" she asked with a smile, glancing back to her father, who nodded. "Its just been use for a long time... and well.. maybe if you're tired of being alone.. we could travel together or something?"

She let out a small sigh, and shook her head. "Im sorry to hear that.. Really."
It made her think of her own mother.. Her own family.. But she remembered so little, it was like they had never existed at all.. And maybe they hadn't. Maybe she dreamed it up.. But she didn't think so.
Her ears perked at the thought of being around others. Were they really willing to travel with her? She almost jumped at the chance.. In fact.. She did.. She leapt in the air and smiled. She was young after all.. Maybe older than Zelda by a few seasons.
"I'd love to!" She said, her eyes happy and her voice soft.
Then her face got bashful as she looked to the bull.. He hadn't offered.
"If its okay with you."

Oeric chuckled his amusement at Roxanne's excitement of the prospect of coming along with them. He hadn't offered.. but he didn't seem to object either, especially with how excited she seemed to be. The bull shook his head, "I don't mind at all.. you're more than welcome to come along. The more the merrier."
Zelda grinned, knowing that her father wouldn't have any problems with it. "There now.. we're our own little herd." She laughed at the thought.. for three reindeer hardly constituted a herd, "Who knows.. maybe this is a sign from Hoern. Things are bound to get better!"
Oeric nodded his agreement, "That could be so.. and with spring soon approaching, things will certainly get better indeed." There will be more food and the traveling conditions shouldn't be as harsh. Thus they might find even more of their own kind.
