She didn't know why she'd decided to wander off in the direction that she had but it had seemed like a good idea at the time. Something told her that this way lay something interesting and new and that she needed to go there. At least it wasn't the bird this time.
Shaking her head she nosed her way though the grass toward what smelled like water. She bet there was a pond of some sort near by. Maybe she could find a frog to play with or something small to eat. If she caught something interesting she could go back and tell Kef and stun him with her magnificent hunting skills.
"Maybe i should just tell him i caught something cool anyway ... it's not like he'd know that i didn't do it." She eyed the small pond from a short distance away. "No. I'll get some detail wrong and he'll catch me."
Drat. That meant she would have to catch something interesting sos he had something to brag about when she found him again.

Her coat was of the brightest blue and not exactly hard to miss. Even at the waters edge where the glistening shallows gave off odd colours to create small rainbows occasionally, she stuck out like a sore thumb.
A small whispery voice echoed form her lips as she spoke to a creature much taller than herself, she lay quietly and looked up at the large klipspringer dusty blue eyes curious. "But Gobo, why can't I just stay with you? I don't wanna live with otha lions." She clearly pouted ehr eyes welling with water.
The big male klipspringer sighed heavily. "Because I am neither a doe, nor a lion Galanthus, I have no knowlege of raising cubs, or fawns and I would not raise you right. It woudld be best for yuo to find a pride and join it then you can be safe and raised as lions should be raised."
"But Gobo! I wanna be a klipspringer! I'll eat grass I promise!" She sobbed her eyes so full of water now surely the flow must gush on to her cheeks at any moment.
"Theres no point ifing and Butting Galanthus'Nivalis, you can't eat grass it will make you sick, you have to join other lions and learn their ways." He sighed heavily leaning down to nuzzle at the young cub. "Don't cry, I promise I'll always watch over you when we find the right pride for you to join."

She inched closer to the water and blinked at the odd scene before her. What in the world was that?!? She'd never seen anything like that before. Well okay, she'd seen something like the blue thing cause it looked like her but the other thing?
Klipspringer? That must have been what that big thing was. It was odd and looked kinda tasty but she knew she wasn't anywhere big enough to try that.
Hunkering down in the grass she let her tails wish behind her as she watched the other two. This could be interesting and she could get something interesting to tell Kef. She bet he'd never seen one of these things before.

A grunting sound echoed as the large chocolate coloured klipspringer snorted through his nose. His ears perked forwards and his front hooves clapped at the ground. He was no fool, he had lived for long enough to know when to run and when to stay. Another lion was less likely to eat a lion cub than a klipspringer, so the scent of a new lion set him on edge. "Smells like another lion. Can't see it though." He mumbles peering through the grass cautiously though his mucles were tenced, he was ready to run if necessary.
"What is it Gobo?" The dep blue lion cub turned ehr head around and got to her paws, even standing she was much smaller than the clipspringer her paws dainty. She was clearly quite a runty little thing but her eyes shimmered like diamonds, showing she was full of life and the wonders of being a cub. "Whos there?" She called, her voice tiny compared to the booming volumes of the large klippy.

They couldn't see her? Wow! That must have meant that she was getting better at hiding. It wasn't like she matched the grass all that well after all. She tossed around the idea of staying hidden for a moment. She didn't have to reveal herself but that big thing did seem to be able to tell she was there.
Pulling herself to her feet she peeked out of the grass. "It's not like i'm that hard to see...." She grinned as she sat down on the dusty ground just outside the pond.

Galanthus looked at the other cub a little surprised. How had she not spotted her? The youngster shook her head and gigled. "I suppose not, you're less easy to spot than me tho." She grins, she was far from an unfriendly little cub, just because she wanted to be a klipspringer didn't mean that she couldnt be friendly to other lions.
Gobo relaxed a little at the appearance of the cub letting another grunt roll over his lips. "At least I smelled you coming." he said simply his tiny tail flickering and twitching. An idea then came to the large klippys head, where there were cubs, there were adults. perhaps this was the moment to hand Galanthus to new parents so that she could grow up in the right environment. "I suppose your parents are near by?" he said simply looking over the dark cubs head in to the grass.

"At least you can almost blend in with the right kind of water." It would have to be clean water which she didn't see all that often but the other cub was almost that color.
Her nose scrunched slightly at the mention of parents. "No ... i don't have parents. I live with Kef." They seemed to get on fine so far and they were waiting on his parents to come back so there'd be parents eventually. Right? "Kef doesn't have parents either, well he does but he lost them, so we're waiting for them"

((really sorry I toolk so long replying I'v had a really busy weekend!))
Galanthus looked at one of her paws curiously, she sup[popsed the female was right if she could find really clear water it would be a great place to ambush, or more likely to play fight. She let her mind drift a little to the possibilities a little giggle rolling over her tiny lips. "Who's kef?" The little lioness grinned "Is he a klipspringer like Gobo?"
Gobo shook his large horned head and rolled his eyes. "He's another lion then?" His mind turned as he tried to figure out what to do here. "Perhaps Galanthus we should go and meet this young ladies friend hmm? At least you would have someone your own age to play with?" he raised a curious brow his dark eyes smiling. Perhaps he could stay with the cubs until this Kefs parents showed up. It was a good enough idea to work.

"Kef's the other cub i live with." She looked back and fourth between the lion and the klipspringer. "I can take you to him if you want, we don't life far from here."
Well it was a little bit of a distance but nothing they couldn't get back to before nightfall. Kef would be happy that she'd found more friends! That would mean more brains for hunting. Maybe with the other cub's help they could even take down something bigger than a rat.

"Ohh!" Galanthus giggled, she almost felt it normal to live with a klipspringer, to live with another cub. She looked thoughtful for a long moment looking between Gobo and the other cub, she gave a nod. "Yeah. As long as Gobo can come too." She smiled her tiny frame padding towards the other female happily. She was a really ltitle cub, clearly the runt of what ever litter she had been born from.
Gobo sighed and shook his head. He wouldn't abandon Galanthus but he really wanted the cub he had begrudgingly adopted to find a lion family to raise her. "I'll follow, I won't leave you." he smiled softly, he had a fondness for the cub, he just wanetd her to be raised among her own kind.

She hopped up to her feet and turned back toward what she hoped was the right direction to find Kef again. "It should be this way .... yea." She wasn't about to look like she didn't know where she was going. She'd come from vaguely that direction so she should go back that way to get where she'd come from.
"Maybe Kef even caught something to eat and we can have food when we get back" She grinned over her shoulder at the other cub and the klipspringer before she started off though the grass.

Galanthus smiled and followed after the larger cub her tail high in the air and her soft blyue eyes glistening. She had to admit she liked the idea of playing with other lions. Gobo couldn't play very much becase he didn't have paws or claws and he wasn't a child either, he was rather serious, though she still loved him.
Gobo sighed heavily and followed after the two young lionesses. Food? He shook his head, technically he was food but he wans't about to point that out. That didn't mean he was going to leave though. he would watch the lion cubs until an older lion showed up for them.

She bounced though the grasses as she headed back in the direction that she thought Kef was in. It would be so much better if she brought someone new. She wasn't quite sure about the other thing, Gobo was it?, but maybe Kef would know what to do with him.
He was bigger so maybe he could help them catch bigger meals! Theyd' need more food if they were going to feed more mouths.

Galanthus followed in silence her steps bouncy and a grin on her lips. It would be nice to be with other cubs. Definately very nice.
Gobo followed, unsure if this was a good idea, walking in to the belly of the beast? He shrugged, he wouldn't leave his little charge alone til he knew she was safe.
