Not really. The numbers decrease as people stop coming on gaia and they're stuck in people's accounts. They are quite adorable, so I agree with buni. They'll definitly be a wanted item. What did they give out last year?

I still don't think they'll hit 10k. When an item first starts hitting the masses, the price is going to be higher. Because you had to get on within a span of a couple of days to receive these, the price is simply slightly higher than usual.
I believe we should see a reduction in the price fairly soon. By the end of the month, I'd think, as they become less popular and other items take the limelight. Right now, they're among the most recent items. You see it with the donation items every month. An initial price frenzy, and then a steady drop. It'll eventually stabilise, well below the initial price. Then slowly, very slowly, increase in price.
Gaia makes for an interesting economic study, though. To see extremely large numbers of stuff flood the market is something that doesn't come along in the real-world very often. Not without utterly crashing.
