Aure relaxed down near the side of the small cliff. She loved this area. The fresh mountain air, the sparkling water, and the rushing waterfall.
She especially loved the waterfall. Sometime Alexia, her companion, would allow them to fly down close to the bottom of the waterfall. They'd both end up soaked from the mist, but it was always worth it.
Alexia and Aure only went up near Crater Lake on special occasions. With the rumors of war being spread, Alexia thought that they both needed to take a short vacation to get away from everything. So for the past few days, both Sandpainter and Companion had been lying around doing... nothing. Alexia was starting to get restless. Just a few moments before Aure decided to lay down, Alexia stormed off with the excuse that she was looking for food.
Rolling over, Aure glanced around. Alexia wouldn't be back anytime soon. The poor girl couldn't hunt to save her life. Aure was always the one to provide food. Making up her mind, Aure decided to take a quick walk around the area. Maybe she'd catch a few fish for Dinner.

Temeraire floated lazily on his back upon the glassy surface of the lake. The sun was warm on his deep black hide, and he swished his tail lazily as the current took him around in circles. He drifted by the waterfall, and the tendrils on his nose twitched as he was hit with the light spray. Opening his pale blue eyes, he stared at the sky. It was peaceful times like these that he felt the most lonely, though he couldn't say why.
Flipping onto his back he paddled about some more through the water. The frills near his ears perked up as he heard footsteps along the side of the lake, near the waterfall. Sinking a majority of his bulk into the river, he let the top of his head peek out as he watched a green and blue marbled female Painter strolling on the lakeside.

Aure's eyes gazed across the flowing water, looking for any moving shadows inside as she walked down the rocky shore. Her eyes fell upon a large dark figure swimming with the current. Aure's eyes widened. 'That fish is huge...It'll keep us fed for days.' She examined the large fish. "I just have to catch it... But how?" Thinking quickly, before the fish could swim away, she made up her mind. The best way to catch it was to wrestle it out of the water. Aure spread her wings and jumped into the air, intending on aproaching the giant fish from the sky.
