General roleplay rules:
arrow Be kind to everyone in the thread. Realize the difference between IC and OOC.
arrow If you must talk OOCly, please use parantheses or brackets to show that you are OOC.
arrow Do not god-mod (IE, play 'superman'). Your character has limitations, like every other being. Accept them.
arrow Do not play someone else's character! In a fight, this is not allowed, either; you can say 'Bob took a swipe at Ed, hoping to hit him,' but you cannot say 'Bob took a swipe at Ed, and hit him across the face.'
arrow You may only play a lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, or wild dog if you've bought/aquired one from the main Shadows of Africa thread! Otherwise, if you wish, you're welcome to play a preybeast or bird character at no charge.
arrow Please take note of the weather in each area. If it's storming out, don't act like it's a fine, sunny day!
Territory rules:
arrow Realize, if you go into unfamiliar territory, your character may get attacked or enslaved, or, in extreme cases, even killed.
arrow Prides must stay, in general, within their given territories. However, they may pass these boundaries sometimes, they are not required to stay on their lands at all times.

Thread rules:
arrow You may make your own threads. However, I do ask that you make a note, in the title, of where those threads are, and please give a little description in the first post so other people know where they are.
arrow You may make an OOC journal for your character, to write up their history, personality, pictures, etc. Please make a note, in the title, that it is an OOC Journal for whatever character you want it for.
arrow Please make a note about what kind of thread your new thread is: [OOC] for OOC, [ORP] for Open Roleplay, [PRP] for Private Roleplay, and [J] for Journal.
