Like the Guitar Hero games? gonk
I'm just wondering... Its a pretty popular franchise...
And now its on Nintendo!

I like them, but I do think that the franchise is pulling a Halo in terms of being blown out of purportion. But then again, we did that with SSBB so we (and I) don't have any room to talk.

Though, I've only played GH II and III, but I like (from reading) the soundtracks from I and II better than III. Though III has some good songs like One from my lovely Metallica (Metallica fanatic here).

Halo wasn't blown out of proportion!

I think...
Is it because of the third person view when you pick up a turret?

I like Guitar Hero! heart
It has been a very popular game and will be until some other radical thing comes out ending with "Hero" in the title.

Yes Halo was over rated. Cut off Live and you have a mediocre shooter thats generic on the 360. I got tired of Guitar hero quickly because I needed a new list of songs. Playing the same song over and over became very very tiring and boring for me. My brother loves it though and competed in a tournament in Pennsylvania. Was given 8th place out of 30 or something.

I actually want to get my hands on Rock Band sometime to compare it to GH. That and I like the idea of playing with a bunch of different instruments too.

I own the PS2 version (because I don't have a Wii, 360, or PS3) of GH3, which I got 2 weeks ago.

Easy's too easy, Medium's just right, but now I need new songs, Hard's too...hard, and don't get me started on Expert.
I'm not as experienced as a lot of other GH players, because the only other time I've ever played in my life was at a Walmart on December 24.
This explains why I keep failing Hard Mode, just so you don't take me as some sort of n00b.

It's alright. I just figured out how to play on hard mode myself, and that's just playing the bass part. The actual guitar part is a bit too much for me (who doesn't own any of the GH games as I technically don't own any of the systems that it belongs to. Not including my brother's PS2). But yeah, like everything in life, it takes practice to get better.

Yeah...still working on it...

I don't have a problem actually NAILING the orange, it's the part when there's things like red-blue or yellow-orange chords, because I have a double-jointed pinky (or something like that).
I found a solution FOR that, but I can't shift in time while staying in that position.

You might be kind of excited to know that they are going to be releasing a Guitar Hero: Metallica in 2009.GH: Metallica

The only one I own is 3 right now, I don't plan on getting the "spin-offs" anytime soon (oh how I yearn for a Metallica, though.), but it would be nice to have some new songs.
I'm only still on 3 so I can actually get somewhere on Hard. (it's finally dumbed down a little for me...-.-)

And on the dropped subject of Halo:
I am a rabid fan of Halo. I've never played on Live (I don't want to pay money to play with strangers, I'm perfectly fine with playing w/ friends--this is why I like the DS, Wi-Fi's FREE!), the only thing I do with Halo is play with my brother on split-screen. And die. A lot. And I have one hell of a time with him.
This is coming from the worst Halo player in the world who can't get past the second level on easy and still finds it enjoyable.
P.S. Yes, I got the message: Halo 3's plot sucked.
