Simi had decided to wander out a bit more away from home, like he did when he was a cub. He made sure to keep himself within the borders of the Pridelands, but filtering himself away from a majority of the pride was certainly a breath of fresh air. He said hello to the members he had passed, exchanging a kind word or two. He didn't mind, because the conversation never lasted long, and they would soon part ways for the day, and each of them had different tasks to do. Simi just merely made sure to keep himself alone, as he had a lot of thinking to do, and he wanted to do it alone.

The ground was soft from the light rain they had recieved from a passing storm, the sky still spotted with dark clouds like a leopard's back. He glanced up at the sky, watching the clouds drift by, ready to drop their offering of rain on another area of the land, perhaps another pride would recieve what could be seen as a blessing.

Akasha had continued to run from that horrible, crazy lion, still slightly worried that he might be following her. But even for the most experienced tracker, following a dark lioness during a storm just had to be impossible.

Without looking where exactly she was going, though, she had passed over where her home was and continued to run into the pridelands....and directly into the Price.

She slipped, landing directly on top of him. With a yelp, she quickly pushed herself off, still lying on the cool lush grass below her.

"Hey! Watch where you're going!" she snapped, giving the unknown male a snarl. She had no idea who he was, but frankly didn't care, either.

Simi had equally not been paying any attention, as he had been studying the sky to see if another downfall of rain would occur. It wasn't until he found himself lying on the floor with a heavy weight on top of him that he actually realized what had happened.

The next moment, it seemed like he was getting his head snapped off! What? He stared blankly at the lioness in front of him, a bit hurt that she would claim that he did it all on purpose, or if not that, it was his fault.

"I don't think it was my fault," he said cooly. "I was merely looking at the sky. Weren't you the one running?" Wait.... "What were you running from, anyway? It made him wonder if there was something that he was missing. He didn't recognize her at all, and so he assumed that she might not be a member of the Pridelands, but if there was someone following her, Simi would certainly want to help her in any way that he could, even if she was a bit snappy towards him.

"M-maybe..." she couldn't deny that she indeed was the one running, but he had tripped her on purpose! She convinced herself that was the truth, and so kept to her glaring at the male. He seemed to carry the typical traits of a Pridelander. Had she run into their lands too far? While she knew that they were very open to rogues entering their lands, it still unsettled her because she didn't really like them.

And it was starting to show.

"But it's none of your business," she spat, still lying on the ground. The grass was soft, and very tempting to just lie on, even if she was pretty irritated at the moment. She wasn't going to tell him that she indeed was running from someone, because then she might be in trouble, and didn't want to deal with that, especially towards her family.

"None of my business?" He was floored that she would say that! Obviously she didn't know who he was! And while he didn't want to think about it in that way, he still loved these lands and didn't want anything bad to happen to them, and especially so to anyone that was even on these lands.

"But if you're bringing danger here, shouldn't you ask for help?" It only seemed logical to him. He was here to help, and more than willing!

He also couldn't understand why she was so snappy. It wasn't his fault that she ran into him, and it clearly wasn't his fault that there was something wrong with her. So what was up with her? Were all females out there like this? He silently hoped that it would stay out there, since everyone in the Pridelands seemed so nice.

"Help? From you guys? Hah!"

She didn't quite realize that her words were an admission that someone was following her, or as far as she knew someone was following her. All she knew was that she really didn't want any help from them. It was a very unfair assumption on her part, with only the few pridelanders that she had ever met, but that was just the way that her mind worked.

Though...he did seem like he actually wanted to help her.

Dilema! What should she say? Should she apologize? ....a pity that she probably couldn't get an apology out even if she really wanted to.

"Besides, I'm sure the freak lost my trail. I'm good at running," she tacked on, praising herself.

Huh. "Well, you're confident of yourself." It was the truth, and he couldn't help but let it just slip out. Of course, once it actually came out he felt incredibly embarassed.

"I-I didn't mean it that way! It's just...you seem very..." ooohhh, what was the word? "Independent."

He turned his attention away from her to look at where she had come from, though he didn't see any movement, besides a herd moving, and some birds spooked from the movement. Nothing else.

"It does look like you perhaps lost them, though."

Well, duh. That's exactly what she had said. Was this male deaf or something? She rolled her eyes and sighed, wondering just how padded this lion had lived in his little fluffy pride, not knowing anything about the outside world.

If only others could hear her thoughts, they'd label her a hypocrite.

Akasha had motioned to pull herself up into a standing position, but only then did she realized that she had strained herself. Her left forepaw hurt, not enough to worry about anything serious, but it was obvious that she was going to have to keep off of it for a couple days. What a pain!

She settled herself back down on the grass, acting like she had just been making herself more comfortable all along. This lion wasn't going to leave her alone if he found out, and so she would simply fake it until he left.

The silence from the rude visitor threw Simi off. He turned around to face her, curious as to why she had fallen silent. Was she in pain? It was hard to judge as he examined her body, trying to look for any signs of discomfort. Instead, it looked like she was settling herself down for a rest.

Simi would never understand females.

He shrugged, offering his own sigh. "Well, as long as you say that you are not hurt, I guess there is nothing else I can offer, since you don't really want any help." He had no idea why, since he thought of himself as a pretty nice guy.

"Do you need food? I can request one of the hunters to get you something if you decide to stay here for a little while."
PostPosted: Fri Feb 22, 2008 12:49 pm

That startled Kashi.

"What? You can tell hunters what to do?" She was floored! What the hell, she would never do what someone asked her to do (unless it was say, her mother), especially if it took as much effort as hunting! Just who did this guy think he was, the king of the universe?

With a snort, she just had to ask. "So just who do you think you are?"

Huh? That questions surprised him, but it really shouldn't of. She wasn't familiar with their lands, and so she wouldn't know that he was a price.

"My mother is the queen here," he commented, offering her a warm smile. "And there's so many of us here, I'm certain someone would be happy to help if you were hungry."

Why did she seem so angry about that? He just figured that she was tired and hungry if she didn't want to get up, and a good remedy for that was a good meal and a restful nap. Then she could continue on...with whatever she was doing.

A prince. Oooh, goodie. She couldn't help but look at him in a different light. So he was above most of the lions that she had met. But....wouldn't tha tmake him even more spoiled? Maybe that's why he seemed so stupid in her eyes. She was more street/rogue-smart, while he was more...what other kind of smart was there? Nerdy smart.

"A prince, eh? Seems like I picked the perfect one to tackle," she muttered under her breath. Hopefully she wouldn't get in trouble for just running into him like that!

"Well..." Maybe it would make him go away faster if she just agreed. "I guess that would be ok." It really wasn't, but as soon as she was left alone she'd be happy. "As long as I don't have to get up."

Simi smiled. "Good!" He was happy that she finally seemed to accept his propsal. It was odd that she wouldn't want to walk with him, though, because then she could simply be able to get something to eat sooner. But, it could be arrainged to have something delivered to her. Even if he was going to have to deliver it himself, because he wouldn't ask that part of it from anyone. Heck, maybe he could try and catch something, even if he was horrible at hunting.

"Alright then, I'll be right back." He turned to leave, trotting off towards the place he called home quickly. Hopefully someone would have a piece of a meal left lying around to make the process go that much quicker.

Kashi couldn't help but watch him trot off. He was...weird. What a fool, to actually believe that she would sit here and wait for a chunk of meat that some Pridelander caught.

She pulled herslef up onto her shakey paws, swaying a bit. It was obvious that she was very weak from lack of nourishment and the run she had just finished, but she was fine. She'd get something later after a nap, and she'd be back to her normal self.

She looked again at where this male had been. She hadn't even caught his name, which...actually made her sad. He was sweet, too sweet, but it was still something that she wasn't quite used to.

With a stumble, she began to return her way home.

When Simi would return again later, all he would find was the imprint that she had left on the grass, and even that had begun to fade away, like she had never been there.
