Well I'm scared to take Japanese when I attend my highschool. Why you might ask? BECAUSE OF ALL THE DAMN WEABOOS. I mean I can take the annoyingness of these people but there's a limit to it. I mean I get in that room there's gonna be people that are gonna be all "BELIEVE IT" "Baka, what's baka?" "YOU BAKA" "I wanna go to Japan to see all the pandas" AND THE LIST GOES ON. I mean PANDAS ARE CHINESE... Yes these are real life experiences and I think if I take this class I'm am literally going to die.
So what are your experiences with these type of people and would you suggest I change this class to another language (supposedly French) so I don't die?

The best way to find out if it's true is to experience yourself what it is like to take Japanese classes. It often happens you just get the wrong idea of something. surprised
I think you can always change option early during the year in case you really don't like Japanese classes.

That's not true of all Japanese classes. It's not like that at my school; the Japanophiles at my school are a minority while everyone else is either interested in the non-pop culture Japanese stuff, or is just a casual pop culture fan.
It never hurts to try. Plus you're taking AP Japanese. It's AP!!!! Anime kids don't even have to guts to be in such a rigorous college-level class.
I mean for crying out loud, I bet more than half of them can't even last through reading a Japanese newspaper during the AP exam, let alone even a small excerpt of a Japanese newspaper.

I wish I could be love, Then I could be All over the world. 3nodding I take Japanese at my Junior college, because they don't offer it at my highschool. I almost have an understanding of what you're talking about. Thing is, most of the Japanophiles do tend to drop out after the first couple of classes. If they're into anime so much, they'll be overconfident and just die ;D Plus, since it's AP, they'll move much quicker. Also, I was somewhat into anime before I took Japanese class. After taking one semester, I've been less and less into anime. I'm now at my 2.5ish Semester. xd Hard to explain. Take the class regardless of how many weaboos there are. Though, if I were you, I'd drop the class if your teacher has an American accent xd My current Japanese teacher speaks semi-Engrish, "Write your namae on your paper. Hai, Date it, then turn it in." rolleyes It hruts my ears for some reason. Choose one whole language or the other.
I'll remember to love, You taught me how.

And never let it FADE You have to remember, although you will take this class for 4 years, (I assume,) you won't be extremely fluent or anything like that. You wouldn't be able to say like, "We have a flat tire and need help with the spare." You might be able to say like, "Tire is broken. We need help." Unless you're like, EXTREMELY studious when you take this class. Our paper LANTERN night
