Aki leaned against the trunk of a large tree, enojoying the feeling of the rough bark against his back. He looked up into the branches and sighed thinking of how lovely a day it was today. He got up slowly, his eyes still looking to the cloudless sky. "what to do today" he mumbled to himself, before looking down at his paws and taking a few steps forward. he chuckled to himself, as he walked at a leisurely pace past groups of trees and small ferns.

Lillian smirked confidently to herself, and looked around the forest as she padded down a well worn path. She turned a corner and suddenly stopped moving. Ahead of her, moving through the under brush was what looked like an orange male. The confident smirk was wiped off her face, and immediately replaced by a sweet smile as she padded head on towards the new dragonfly. Then, she moved over to the side and began to sniff the flowers putting on a perfect act of sweet innocence.

Aki paused in his stroll, sniffing the air, he frowned. 'another dragonfly nearby' he thought puzzled, before turning and seeing a adolescent red female dragonfly over by a patch of flowers. He tilted his head debating whether or not to walk over. Hesitatingly he took a step in the dragonfly's direction, unsure of what he would say, but today he was feeling slightly happier and wanted to strike up a conversation, probably due to the nice weather. "h.. hello" he stuttered unsure, as he walked closer.

Giggling softly to herself, Lillian's head snapped up and her eyes rested on Aki with well practiced surprise. "Oh! Why, hello there! I didn't even know there were any dragonfly's around these parts..." She trailed off and batted her eyelashes sweetly, "I was getting ever so lonely..." She sighed and looked off sadly smirking in her mind at this excellent ruse she was pulling.

"i didnt know there was an dragonflies in these parts either... but im not lonely there is always the sky, unreachable, over head, watching and telling stories with its clouds" aki said quietly, before sighing. He looked down at the flowers that she had been looking at, unsure of what to say next and feeling slightly awkward. "those are very pretty flowers" he mumbled as he looked up, shifting slightly, being careful not to step on any plants or insects as he looked at her. Tilting his head he frowned wondering why she looked so sad, when she was surrounded by beauty.

Blinking sadly Lillian looked down at her paws and shuffled them, "But they sky isn't much company when you long for the sweet voice of someone who cares for you..." Even if she noticed Aki's uneasy awkwardness, Lillian made not notice of it, acting as if she were completely unaware. She looked up and smiled at Aki, "Yes, they are very pretty, flowers can brighten up any day if you ask me..." Shifting slightly she used her back paw to smash a little daisy into the ground with out Aki noticing. He suspects nothing... how naive... this will get boring quickly... how unfortunate... Lillian thought suppressing an annoyed sigh and replacing it with one of saddened loneliness.

Aki relaxed straightening a little so he stood tall and proud , now that he had some idea on what to talk about. "i guess voices are alright" he said smiling before looking up at the sky. "clouds just require more imagination" he said chuckleing. "the names Aki by the way" he said looking down at her and grinning. 'this conversation is getting to be quite interesting' he thought to himself

Lillian sighed and blinked at Aki, "But a cloud could never take the place of a friend... they are nice up there... but being up there is all they can ever do..." Am I SERIOUSLY talking about clouds...?! "And, a pleasure it is to meet you Aki I am sure," Lillian smiled sweetly, forgetting to introduce herself on purpose.

Aki chuckled "wouldnt know havent had any" he said smirking slightly. he frowned ".....a pleasure to meet you too" he said furrowing his eyebrows slightly and tilting his head ' who is she anyway' he wondered before shaking his head 'if i was meant to know she will tell me eventually perhaps i need to gain her trust first'. "so what leads you to this part of the woods?" he asked curiously.

Lillian growled inside her head, No confidence... no curiosity... how can I be entertained with someone so meaningless!? She quivered her lip slightly and took on a very solemn look, "You've never had any friends?! Why... thats horrid!" Shaking her head to herself, Lillian looked back at the ground and shifted slightly, "I guess I was just wandering about, looking for someone or something to make life meaningful..."

Aki chuckled "not really" he said looking down at her. "i dont really need them i can entertain myself fairly well... most of the time." Aki frowned "cant you make life have meaning yourself you shouldnt need others in order to be fulfilled". he looked up smirking slightly 'what a strange girl... only boring people cant entertain themselves' he shook his head again 'i shouldnt think things like that about someone ive just met' "sorry" he muttered quietly looking down before looking up again quickly.

Lillian smirked and chuckled, "Why my dear Aki, who ever said I couldn't satisfy myself?! Why so prejudicial against someone who just wants a bit of company?!" Sighing she smiled happily and wagged her tail, I finally riled him up a bit... but... I don't like his tone that much... cockiness must be crushed... Keeping a steady smile and pleasant demeanor, Lillian shifted once more so it looked like she was scratching an itch on on of her paws when she as actually smashing a beetle to bits thinking about what to do next. "I can make life mean more than enough without the help of others, but why do you seem so against making friends..." Her eyes welled up slightly and she looked away, "If you really don't want me around... I understand... I'll just go..."

Aki frowned and looked down "ah no im sorry... i dont mind company..." He sat down head hanging low and looked at his paws ashamed. "just not used to it" he mumbled awkwardly getting up to stand in front of her. he looked up at the sky and sighed wondering what to do. "please dont go" he said moving so he looked down at her sadly. "i didnt mean to offend you or anything" he mumbled

Bingo! Lillian sniffled and wiped fake almost non-exsistant tears from her eyes with a paw. Looking up meekly she looked into Aki's eyes, "You really don't mind me sticking around?" Lillian enforced her naive question with a quivering smile and she blinked twice before continuing, "And you didn't really offend me..." She stressed her words to give them meaning wondering the entire time why Aki was so meek.

Aki looked down feeling ashamed still and shook his head. "no i dont mind" he said slowly looking up. "i apologize again and it is the most i can do to ...." he tilted his head trying to think of the right word ' befriend?... maybe accompany?' he shook his head. " relieve you of the loneliness you suffer" he said slowly picking his words carefully.
