The trees rustled softly in the wind as the male stared up into the canopy. It was wonderful being able to take in all the scents of the trees and herbs of the earth without having to move an inch. He had been sitting like that for a few hours now, just staring up at the sky above the trees thinking of the times that had passed, the things that had happened. It was strange how he knew so much but at the same time, so very little.

Moving his eyes to the right of the skies stared at a single dire owl. He stared at it for awhile before smirking to himself. Nora, thankfully was out hunting. His side still hurt from that ‘playful’ attack. Shifting himself into a more comfortable position the male sighed. He was bored most definitely.

“..I wish it wasn’t such a lonely place. Here in the place.” Seiki stared at the owl still as it rotated it’s head before deciding to take to the air.

(( I think I'll use Sidera instead...Solaris would just spoil the mood, pushy thing that she is))

Soft and silent, Sidera paced abreast of the trees. Night sky, night wind, and her beloved stars. The white-flecked dragoness flicked her wings flightily against the rising wind through the forest. Dark within the hold of the branches, the moonlight shielded from the ground by protecting leaves.

Sidera paused for a moment at the forest's edge, hesitating, then pushed within the shadowy bounds.

Serene, transfixed, she moved, eyes not on her path, but up at each winking star as it blinked between the gaps of branch and leaf and star-lit sky. and so, it was a great surprise to Sidera when she came upon another, standing clear among the trees.

"...Hello," she intoned, as a formality, voice pitched low, and with no particular signifigance.

He would have drifted back into his almost comatose state if it had not been for a soft voice in the wind. As the painter blinked open his eyes he drew in a deep breath, taking in the soft fragrance of the many plants that flourished in the forest. One scent in particular crept into his senses, the scent of lavender. Smiling to himself the male looked up to see a female hovering overhead.

“Hello. Lovely night isn’t it?” He couldn’t help but flash a toothy grin at her as he stretched himself out. It was going to be a lovely night, he could feel it. Once finished with his stretching the starry male pulled himself back together and stood for a moment staring at her.

“What brings you to this part of the forest?” His eyes glittered with excitement as he waited for her reply. It had definitely been far to long since he had been around another painter.

Sidera blinked at him, a patch of stars among the deep night of the grasses. the star-flecked female tilted her head, considering. What was she doing here?

"The night is always lovely....I come, walking with them," Sidera tipped her chin back without looking, to indicate the faint glimmers between the leaves and branches of the night sky above.

"The stars, and the trees."

Seiki watched as the female tipped her chin back, looking over in the direction she was trying to get him to see. So she decided to wander before he night was beautiful? Seiki smiled at her as he looked over the stars and the glimmering leaves.

“They are a lovely sight to see, and so are you.” He stared at her for a few moments before stretching out his wings slightly. He always got so antsy when around females. It was almost depressing in a way. Shifting his wings one last time the male started his way towards the female.

“My name is Seiki. It is a pleasure to meet you.” He bowed his head slightly as he spoke to her, a grin allowing sparkling teeth to be shown.

Sidera blinked, shifting her weight, flipping wings tightly against her back. She was suddenly aware that he was a male, of feathered wings and bright star-swirls. Odd, that. She had known these things before, but now they seemed more important.

"I am called Sidera...you flatter me."

She simple stood, up to her haunches in the deep shadows of the forest, watching him come towards her, tilting her head in a half-puzzled, half-interested fashion. She smiled, and she let her mouth curve at the edges, ever-so-slightly, in return.

As soon as he had gotten close enough to Sidera he stopped and smiled. “Well I am very happy that I flatter you. Your name is very unique and rather beautiful.” His tail twitched slightly as he watched the female. She was a rather interesting character. Almost soft spoken. It was a nice change of pace. Nothing like the other females he was around. They were either shy or bold.

Catching the sight of the females smile his heart sped up. It was a wonderful smile. Almost shy but at the same time not. “Your smile is very sweet.” His bright eyes glittered as he watch he a little bit longer before closing his eyes fully and letting the wind roll over his body.

“The wind is wonderful.”

"The wind..." She raised her eyes again, watching her beloved stars. Silence passed, as wind rose and died again.

"Do you think the wind blows all the way to the stars?" she smiled, "Silly thought...do you always tell people such things about their expressions?"

Seiki was left to thinking for a moment about her comment. Did the wind blow all the way to the stars? As he thought about this he looked up towards the sky. Maybe it did. "I am not so sure. It might on very windy days.." he looked back towards her an smiled some.

He didn't know what to say to that. Did he say that about every painters expression? Taking a moment to think about it he blinked. "I am not sure. I do know I don't say it if I don't mean it." He flicked his tail softly as he watched her expression.
