BASIS:

The United States government has done so much to stop one of the most lethal biological diseases: cancer. A "cure" was developed, leading many to perfect health. However, the cure went overboard in its process, leading to deaths. A vaccine was created in turn, and the results were disastrous. The combined effects of the cancer, cure, and vaccine led to a virus, spread by airborne and contact strains. The Compound Virus has revived dead bodies, turning living creatures to undead corpses. The government, seeing the potential of the virus, has started intense research on subjects and has even developed other viruses.
Survivors must pick a side. Are you fighting for truth and honesty, the advancement of such evil, or are you just fighting to survive?

Release and Revolution 2:

The year is 2013, one year after the horrid events of the city of undead. After the goverment destroyed the infected zone, survivors spread across the globe, trying to return to their lives. However, trying to cover their involvement, the government has set up cover stories and has even captured many of the survivors.
Not wanting to kill them immediately, the government has set the captured survivors on a large cruiser set for a dark island, where virus research has taken place. The main facility on the island is an old think-tank, a place where geniuses congregate at young ages to work on revolutionary projects; the developement of the original cure for cancer was developed here, and lots of virus data is stored there.
You must face this horror, and fight your way to escape.

RULES:

01: Heed the words of the Captain and Vice-Captain. They will study and know the rules, so they should know better than you.

02: When RPing, periodically check the updates section. If you do not do so, you will make many stupid mistakes regarding time of day, actions taken, and such.

03: If you have a question, make it brief and to the point. We have yet to make a Q&A forum, but soon enough we will.

04: If you are going to RP, post several sentences in one post. Vague one-liners are frowned upon. Writers' block is different from laziness.

05: Respect others. This means do not god-mod, and do not be rude. Also, respond to posts directed to you.

06: Go ahead with romance and such. PG-13 is the standard.

07: Posting often and making your posts long may result in White List promotion.

08: Not all RPCs are on the same level of importance; this means that RPCs that were in the story earlier and interacted in a different manner willl end up having more important roles. This is inevitable. But, do not force importance upon your character; this will be easy to see, and you may be informed to tone down if it gets out of control or annoying.

NOTES

GENERAL

-If you are put on the black list, you will not neccessarily be banned from the Roleplay or guild. The blacklist is only for under-discipline guild and Roleplaying members, and will prevent you from RPing unless you contact a Captain and try to remedy things. Then you may be removed from the black list immediatley or after a period of time.

-All profiles must be sent to their respective Captains titled accordingly. Failure to do so will show that you did not read the important material in its entirety.

-Refrain from sending the Captains ideas on how to improve the Roleplay. The Captains can go to certain people to do that, and may hold open discussions on that topic. Do not send Private Messages on this, unless it affects your Roleplaying.

-Refrain from proposing ideas for plot advancement, creatures, and the like through PMs. Put your ideas in the Roleplay Ideas forum. There is no guarantee at all that any idea will be accepted. Captains and Crew can more openly discuss plot ideas together.

-Recognize that this Roleplay is very science-integrated. Unless you have a basic scientific explanation for someone's powers or something, do not use it. Fire-manipulation can be accepted only if there is a good explanation as to why.

-To enter the roleplay, you must send an RPC profile utilizing the profile skeletons given. You can only start participating if your profile is accepted by the respective Captain.

STORY

-RPCs can only access areas that are stated in the Available Areas section. Conscious disregard for this will result in post edting, deletion, or even the deletion of your profile.

-The Encounterable Creatures section will show the NPCs that can be encountered in the available areas. They will have a status showing which particular available area they are encounterable in only if there are more than one available areas.

-The general time of day will be changed approximately every 4 pages.

Virus Types

Compound Virus: The CV created by three factors: cancer, cancer cure, and vaccine. It will kill most infected with it, transform the others into zombies. It can be spread by air and contact, but the former only works within an hour or so of its release. Direct contact with blood, such as bites, will infect the host. It is also known to evolve under certain conditions, but results are generally the same upon hosts.

Altered Virus: The AV is basically the CV administered under lab conditions. It does not kill the host, but may turn them into zombies. If done correctly, administered AV can be used to enhance hosts in a number of yet undiscovered ways. The AV can also evolve.

Super Virus: The most powerful and rare virus, the SV is only found in the innermost labratories for virus research. It will kill almost 90% of those infected with it, but will change the other 10% into super-beings.

Doomsday Virus: A top-secret virus mentioned only in the tightest security-holding computer records in the think-tank facility. Oricai Yavich has a file regarding this new virus, but nothing is known about it. THIS VIRUS IS NOT BEING TESTED ON THE ISLAND; IT IS NOT AVAILABLE.

Encounterable Enemies

Zombie: This creature is a reanimated corpse created from the CV virus. It has an unsatiable lust for flesh, and has no moral reasoning or logic. The only satisfactory way to dispatch these monsters is by severe trauma to the brain or spinal column. A flaw in the CV causes their tissue to be burned by UV radiation; they come out in great numbers at night.
AREA(S): Crashed cruiser; Island beach, forest, think-tank school and labs



Zombie Animal: These are the same as human zombies, but they come in greater varieties ranging from crows to dogs to insects.

Gargoyle: These strange creatures are failed attempts on Super-Projects, humanoid creatures fused with powerful Super-Virus samples. They're incredibly strong, and the mutation of the virus has caused the bones in their left arms to grow long and sharp, and they use this as a weapon in combat.
AREA(s): Island: think-tank labs


Licker: These humanoid mutations are the result of injection of the CV or AV into living tissue. Lickers are considered good results for the CV, which normally creates undead, but are considered low-class results for the AV, which is usually used to create enhanced-humans that do not obtain physical deformities such as the Licker does.
AREA(S): Island: think-tank school and labs



Elite Security: These guards are highly trained soldiers deployed for dealing with viral outbreaks. They carry special virus-dampening agents, which are used with special pistols. They are skilled in technology and combat of many kinds.

What's Happened and Happening

-Happening: Survivors roaming the island, following own objectives.

-Happening: Russian special forces team trying to secure and take think-tank establishment.

-Happening: Some remaining Ground Zero survivors in the cruiser, which is at a stand-still, near the island coast.

-Happened: Breach in think-tank labs security system, causing locks and security to fail; some experiments have escaped because of this.

Available Areas

-Large honeymoon-style cruiser in unknown waters. It is near the coast of the island, and is half-sunk due to tremendous hull breaches. Zombies are roaming its decks.

-Island: Beach; white sand covers the area; sharp rocks dot the waters further from its shores.

-Island: Forests; this is the area further in the island from the beach; there is an unseen path through it that leads to the think-tank area. Small exotic animals populate the trees.

-Island: Think-tank; this establishment was until recently used for young geniuses to develop inventions and share ideas for the virus research. Most recently, it has been used for the labs it leads to underground, where various test subjects are kept. The main area resembles a school of sorts, then develops into more advanced areas as the levels descend.

-Aqua-Facility: This smaller series of labs is for primary testing upon the bountiful souces of underwater life provided by the waters around the island. Security is activated here, with systems (cameras and laser-trip wires) that alert security guards to intruders' presence. Zombies have not reached this area, nor have the dangerous experiments. Only security and research personell reside here.

Discoveries

-A new type of virus has been found to be in early stages of development: The Doomsday virus. It's purposes unknown, it is being researched in another facility in Alaska.

-A blackout has occured in the school area of the think-tank.

-A freight elevator in the think-tank labs has been unlocked; it leads under the island to an underwater facility, where marine creatures and similar subjects are tested.

-The now decaying Dr. Malcolm Parker has captured once again Project EVE, Niaya Hina, using the SX01 symbiote.

Direct quitting of the job without authorization resulted in his being set as a criminal, and has been on the run from the government for months now. He was captured by government forces, however, and was placed in the cruiser set for the island.

History: Clark is one of the very few survivors of the very first outbreak incident that occurred in the streets of New York City, as well as the subsequent destruction thereof. He lost his wife, his child; his whole former life to the horrors that transpired there. He survived only because he was saved by a Viral Enhanced government agent by the name of Naiya Hina. Clark and Naiya escaped the city together, before being taken into custody by the military. He and Naiya were separated, and Clark had no idea what they ever did with her. The government officials told him that she was safe, and not to worry about her. After interrogating him for weeks, the government wished to hire Clark as an agent, due to his keen detective skills. Not to mention the fact that he had what it took to survive the viral outbreak. Clark accepted, as he needed a job and he believed that the government's intentions were to exterminate the virus. However, as time went on, and Clark carried out more and more black-op missions for them, he began to discover just how corrupt the people he was working for really were. As his suspicions began to grow, Clark eventually hacked into their highest classified databases and discovered the unsettling truth about the virus, the incident; everything. However, Clark's activities were being monitored, and upon discovering that he had hacked into their highly classified files, the government sent a team of assassin's to murder him. Clark then went into hiding, and continued hacking through the government database, when he discovered a file: Naiya Hina's file. Apparently, they had abducted her once again, and were continuing their virus research on her. This file also divulged the location of a certain secret island laboratory facility. There were a slew of files for other survivors who had been abducted, and taken there as well. Clark immediately packed his things. It was time to take a trip. He still owed Naiya one for saving his life. The least he could do was return the favor, and shut this lab as well as the government down in the process - avenging his family, and everything they took from him.

Personality: An independent thinker. Clark is stubborn, outgoing, cautious... and a pervert.

Other: He is still a smoker, but not as heavy a smoker as he was at the time of the first incident. He has built and toned his body quite considerably since his training and operations as an agent. Hence, he has grown much stronger since then. As has already been established in City of the Dead, Clark has a huge crush on Naiya and is fixated with her large breasts.

History: Born a scientists son, he was always brilliant but, when his father died, his colleauges decided that none of them wanted to take care of the child. They performed tests, some of them he couldn't remember but one is that he was injected with some sort of virus. Around his fourteenth birthday he broke out of that place and had traveled looking for a home. When the virus took over the city he found himself in a pickle. He couldn't survive by himself so he allied himself with a woman named Nayia Hida, a former agent. After the time they spent wondering the infected street Oricai had becam fond of her, but all wasn't well soon they were split up at an island lab. His escape from that place was truely thanks to Nayia Hida and Valentine Zast. But after that He began designing different types of experiments to battle the virus that had already been airborne, eventually his mutations gotten out of control so he created a biohazard suit to control his primal urges. Now he works in an armord transport lab creating new ways to battle the on going disease.

Personality: Oricia is independent, level-headed, and protective. When others speak bad about his friends, his temper becomes enormous.

History: Ven was originally a virus researcher working on a two-man team to create a new type of virus. Coming up with an Altered Virus variant, he injected himself with it. Realizing the tyranny that the government could pose with the viruses, he began his break-of by becoming a government agent to contain the NY CV outbreak and, after being teamed-up with government mercenaries, he set up a MIA scene, and followed his own objectives to retrieve virus samples to use to fight against the government, using an old island lab off the coast of NY. After being captured and injected with Super-Virus by the government, he escaped, and continued his mission. In his escape of the city, he had taken a briefcase of virus samples from a fleeing scientist, stealing his helicopter. However, he was caught in the city's explosion, scarred and injured beyond the SV's capabilities. He broke into several government testing facilities, searching for SV to revitalize him, leading him to the Island think-tank facility. Taking on the alias Mizar to protect his identity temporarily, he took a sample of SV, and injected himself with it just before a fatal wound killed him, saving him from death.

After the drop off location in a small town he never saw her again. He moved on trying to put his horrid past behind him. He lives in a small house in the country in Illinois. His is still enrolled in collage and attends but for a hobby he does research on The out break and the true cause of it. The only thing that he has to remind him it was not a dream is a wound that had not healed down his spine from a licker.It was all fine till one day he was arressted under the suspicions of a drug dealer. He was taken in secrecy into a helicopter and flowen somewhere. His face was coverd by black bag so he dident know where he was going. On landed he was knocked out . When he awoke he found himself in a cabin on a ship.

History: Naiya was once a agent for the government that was since to isolate the virus, but soon figured out that this was just a test to see if she made a good weapon. She meant and befriended a lot of people and protected them from harm. In the end the girl that no longer wanted to have anything to do with the government was captured and studied before they stuck her into another tube to continue doing studies on her.

History: After being carried away from ground zero along with Joshua Crossheart she was set to be taken to a hospital for examination. Joshua though had fled with her before they could get into the hospital. They went to live in the state of Ohio ware Kristen had only come down to think that Joshua was going to keep her at his aid. They rented a house in a small neighborhood from an old couple who lived a few houses down. Joshua keep a job though Kristen never knew what wile she stayed at home, only occasionally going outside when she would feel up to doing so. Never making relations with people outside the house their was always known gossip going around about them and their quiet life. One late night when Kristen was alone in the house at about 2 in the morning, she was getting ready to go to bed when there was a crash noise coming from the kitchen. Without hesitation Kristen quickely grabbed her Knife and slipped it in her shoe, and slowly crept down the stairs. Staying close to the wall she came into the kitchen to see that the door was crashed onto the floor. Kristen went to grab the phone when their was suddenly a small but sharp paralyzing pain in her neck. Her hands were shaking as she raised one onto her neck and wrapped her fingers around a small cylinder shaped object stuck on her neck. She pulled it out to see a empty tranquilizer dart in between her fingers. It was not long before she fell onto the floor and three men with gas masks and guns circled her. At that point everything went black and she passed out. At what must have been hours late she awakened on a cold metal floor. She pulled herself to her feet and saw she was inside a cage. Not only that, she was tied up and was collared to a chain rope and locked on one of the bars. From the rocking motion she got the hint she was on a boat though with no clue as to ware she was being brought, or when she would arrive.

Personality: Kristen can be shy around new people, especially when it comes to asking for help. Though if she come to know someone she can be quite talkative and a nice person to be around in a bad situation as she tries to show her little skills in leadership. Though she dose not look to be she is easily frightened and very paranoid. She isn't easily angered by anything but if their is anything that gets her steaming its people makeing stupid and simple mistakes.

As she went job searching one day he had noticed he was being stalked by two strange people, there was also a mysterious car parked around the corner. He walked down the ally way to confirm this and there they were, following him down the ally. He stopped to confront the men and they asked him to come peacefully. He walked with the men to the car and sat inside. They had explained to him that they wanted him to work as a agent for the government, and if he was willing to be tested with a super virus. He didn't take much though to it and accepted their proposal. His body took time to adjust to the changes but he came out a new man. Not telling his activities to Kristen He would leave for "Work" every day going to train his new body. Joshua was contacted and assigned to move to a island was survivors of Ground Zero were to brought. He was even told Kristen was already on her way. He took no time to waist and suited up, only hours later to be flown to the island to see if really he had some kind of assignment there or if he was just to be another pun in this game.

Personality: Joshua is a dark character hidden under a sweet looks to be caring person. He tends to be on the side of a back stabber and isn't the must trustworthy person. Being intelligent though is one of the good traits, he knows his way around a computer and is good with directions. He is not easily angered, but if he is he doesn't show it he just tends talk back more and tries to stay calm.

History: Developed by Dr. Parker, the SX1 Symbiote Project is the effect of a combination of the S-Virus and the A-Virus being administered to a combination of various Nucleoplasms, and Protoplasms within various symbiotic and parasitic microorganisms. The result is a sentient entity of thousands upon thousands of living cells existing together as a singular collective. It desires a powerful host in which to bind with in a symbiotic relationship. It feeds off of adrenaline.
Occupation: The pursuit of a suitable host to bind with.
Personality: It is generally aggressive when without a host. When bonded with a host, it merely amplifies the personality traits, desires, and primal basic instincts of the subject. However, when it bonds with an organism, that host becomes a part of it. Meaning that it will mirror the personality traits and desires of each host it has previously bonded with.

Lutz and his team were given the mission a few days prior to the launching of the cruiser. He knew what they were to do, rappel onto the boat, neutralize any crew and take the boat. He didn't know why he was suppose to do this, but he couldn't complain at such an easy task and in return getting payed 900,000$. Now, it was late night. It was heavy winds and heavy rain. The sentries placed at the dock alerted Lutz team that the boat was leaving port. Lutz rogered and said "Everyone, suit up were heading out!" They then loaded into the chopper as the pilots started the chopper up. It was a monster chopper, a Chinook to be exact. They then followed the cruiser for at least an hour until it was far enough from port to have a delayed time to radio back to port. The chopper then got roughly 50 feet over the boats deck and dropped a rappelling line down. Once that was stable the pilots radioed to Lutz's crew "Go, go, go!" They then dawned their gas masked and roped down the line onto the boats deck. Lutz then signaled the pilots to return to base and refuel. They then signaled back "Roger that" then once the chopper was out of site Lutz crew approached the wheel room which where all crew usually would be during a storm. Once they confirmed that, they chucked a flash grenade through a window, then a few moments later a loud bang and flash went off. They then opened the door and rushed into the wheel room, once they were inside they neutralized the crew and dragged them down the steps into the cargo area. Lutz then radioed the chopper "The boat is secured, over."

The room was dark. No light shone anywhere. The deep, almost silent rumbling of the moving cruiser was heard. The plastic ties holding his wrists bound him to the two pipes side-by-side in the room. He had to get out.
Gerard saw two items on top of the dresser in the bedroom: a beretta hangdun, and a knife with a sheath. He had to get to those weapons if he was to escape.

Once all the crew members were "accounted for", Lutz picked up a microphone and broad casted over the ships intercom system. "Ladies and gentlemen. This is your new captain speaking, now I am asking you all to stay in your rooms until we reach our destination. And to make sure of that I will be locking all of your rooms doors, thank you and I hope you have a great trip!" Lutz then turned the microphone off and tried to get control of the ship, it was in auto pilot and it required a password to unlock it. Lutz then muttered "Scheisse..." He then slinged his MP5 and sat in the captains seat waiting to see what was going to happen next.

Gerard was in a sitting position; he stretched out his right leg to kick over the dresser. He nudged the bottom of it, but didn't move it.

Gerard listened to the intercom message. He was on a ship, no doubt about it. But how did he get there? He had to escape.
He stretched out to kick the dresser, and succeeded in shaking it violently enough to knock down the knife. He pulled it toward him with his foot, and managed to get it behind his back and into his bound hands. He struggled at first, but was able to cut the plastic bonds easily once he positioned it right. He got to his feet, rubbing his wrists and stretching his stiff muscles.

Lutz sat in the chair watching the radar, nothing really amusing. He then skipped ahead a few hours and noticed they'd be docking in an unknown island. He then cocked an eyebrow and wondered where this little ride would be taking them. He then radioed back to the chopper giving them the coordinates of the island. And continued to sit in the captains seat.
