HD-DVD, I'm sure some people died, hopes, and dreams.
But most importants... analog cellular networks are going to be shut down either today or tomorrow! AT&T and VZW stopped it today.
So gotta know who's gonna take that huge leap to Digital?

Analog is only for the REAL poor people. They wouldn't even be on Gaia to begin with (yeah has nothing to do with the subject, but you get my drift).

Analog: Phone broadcasts your voice into the airwaves.
Digital: Turn your voice into digital form before transmitting it. Sound cleaner and richer, digital cellular networks can handle many more calls at a time.
It was more of a joke at the end "Who's going to make the huge switch to Digital".

The UK has started the analogue switch off. As a Londoner I have to wait till 2012 for it.

I wish they'd bring back phone phreaking. I'd like to make free phone calls with nothing more than a Cap'n Crunch whistle.

The city's shutting down analog broadcasts (TVs) by Feb '09. I don't know if this is nationwide or just citywide. According to the commercials it's a new law..

Oh phones. We got rid of those ages ago. Now we simply communicate with the power of our minds.
