 Itsumo yawned and turned back to make sure Kitana hadn't flown off. After the party at Mortimer and Kentiphae's cave it was time to go home. After the goodbyes and thank yous he felt that he had made many new friends. One esspeically good friend as well. During their little mission the two had warmed up to each other and Itsumo felt calmer in her presence. He always knew he liked her, he just had no idea how much. His mind kept drifting between fluffs and Kitana, causing him to grow even more tired as the journey went on. "Some party huh?" Itsumo asked with a smile.

Deciding not to leave Itsumo completely, Kitana fluttered right behind him. Boy was it a work out! Her wings were not use to so much cruelty of relying on solely her muscles instead of high winds. It would be so much easier if we was really a majestic eastern river dragonshe thought, but no matter, she still adored him. Kitana let out a smile as she nodded, "Indeed, the food was superb, and the fluffs.... They sure were something. Especially that Bandit... Something very different about him. Oh and the young fluff who was amazed by you. I think she will grow up to be wise and strong...she said drifting off... Their current conditions made Kitana somewhat sleepy, after all - a moonlit setting and a belly full of food would make anyone doze off into their dreams.

Itsumo smiled again and noticed for the first time how much stress this was causing on her wings. "I can climb into the trees if you'd like to go higher." He offered and then considered what she had said. "Akito mentioned that he has dreams of becoming a rebel. And yes, Sonata was rather cute." He admitted with a joyfull laugh.

Kitana gasped for relief at the offer Itsumo stated, "That would be lovely! But before we do that... she said as she drew closer to Itsumo, she went in for a bear hug. Wanting to test out her strength, she flapped her wings harder, lifting Itsumo into the air with her. She knew she could never carry him the whole way, but she wanted to share the experience of flying with him. "Tree hopping is fun and all, but this is a whole new experience" she said smiling gleefully. "Oh.... and don't worry I won't drop you" she said with a wink that could not be seen by Itsumo. One can only wonder how he's feeling. He is being subjected to being carried by a women, and he's far above the tree tops.

Itsumo blinked for a moment, not sure what she was going to do. When his feet left the ground he struggled to keep his balance. He knew she would have to put him down fairly soon but for now this was pretty amazing. He laughed and noticed several little animals on the ground looking up at the strange flying creature. With a miscevious grin he let out a defining roar and scared the off. He was still laughing when they were out of sight. "Can you let me off on the next tree please?" He asked, shivering a bit, "It's getting cold up here."

Kitana nodded and slowly lowered both both of them. Soon she could see an oncoming tree with various stable branches for Itsumo to sit on. "Here you go, sweetheart" said Kitana almost naturally. Not realizing what she said, she hovered back above the trees. Although Itsumo may not realize this, but Kitana was indeed older than him. Because the attributes of a phoenix resides in her, she is reborn every so often when she cannot fulfill her 'reason for being'. It was a terrible process, life and death. Falling into a void of darkness, only to come out clensed on the other side.

Itsumo smiled to her and leaped out of her grip. He landed gracefully onto a flatter branch and waited for the tree to stop shaking before climbing higher and jumping onto the next tree and then the next. "Thank you dear." He replied, thinking it was the sort of responce for mates. His thoughts turned to his siblings who lived solitary lives because they were turned down by the ones they loved. These dark thoughts caused him to nearly miss a branch. He managed to claw himself up again and continued to move.

Dear?!?! her eyes widened as she blushed controllably. Oh but he barely even knows me! Can it really be possible? she wondered as the idea crept to the front of her mine. Shaking it off for a moment, she decided this would be an opportune moment to know more about him. When you learn of their past, you will gain insight on your future. It was model that Kitana seemed to live by. Looking down at Itsumo, she asked, "So Itsumo, do you have any family? Good friends?.......Love interests?" She almost regretted asking, but she had to know. Itsumo seemed like the type of fafner who would be liked by many, and since Kitana has always been outcasted, she felt that she would never have a chance.

"Well I do have some siblings...but they are sort of under the radar right now." He muttered, sure she could barely hear him. "And the only real friends I have are the ones I met tonight. And the answer to that last question would be...well..." He stopped and climbed higher up on the tree he was currently located upon. "Most fafner are scared of me or they sort of outcast me." He paused, looking down at his feet, blushing, "So you're my love interest Kitana."

Kitana nodded understanding how Itsumo felt about friends. Her only friends were her three cousins. After hearing the last comment, her wings stopped flapping and she fell lower, unable to control herself because of the state of shock she was in. "M....me?" she blurted out as she tried to regain control of herself. It seems Itsumo makes her wings weak..."I'm, flattered!" said Kitana much more endearingly. Regaining control of her wings, she swooped down to where Itsumo would land. Looking at him she smiled. "I suppose you would be my raison d'être"

"I think I'd say the same thing about you." He whispered, turning to look at the distance back to Loki Clan. "I don't have many relatives or people to talk to..." He trailed off, not wanting to make her sad.

Kitana too, acknowledged the distance. At the rate they were going, they would probably have to find shelter soon. "I can help change that..." she whispered back. "My cousin Talia is one of the most talkative... Though her ways can rub off as rude.... Same goes for cousin Andi... Both are hot heads.... Sometimes I fear I will have to put them down since they are too aggressive.... There is also cousin Ophelia, she is a sweetheart, but... she is scared me sadly. She acts as if I'm going to eat her..." she trailed off thinking about her dysfunctional family. "Itsumo... do you think we will make it back to the Loki clan in time? I mean... it is late... and we may tire fairly soon..." she said with a slight young.

"I think we should stop for the night." He admitted, "I'm quite tired already and..." He stoped as his jaws stretched in a huge yawn. "we can continue in the morning or parhaps you can take me to meet your family." He laughed and climbed higher to be at her level.

Nodding, Kitana lowered herself to where Itsumo was. "I think somewhere under a tree would be nice... I love sleeping under the moonlight. The weather is most idyllic as well." she added, as she nuzzled Itsumo. "Maybe in the morning when we cross the Attilan borders, we can meet my cousin Talia... Just a quick stop..." she murmured before she rested in his arms.

Itsumo laughed and rested his head on top of hers. Pretty soon he was fast asleep. As the sun rose over the horizon he nudged Kitana awake. "Wake up dear." He whispered, warming her slightly with his flames. "What are we going to do today honey?"
