The Night The World Changed Forever

.......I remember the night it changed....... The whole world...... Altered forever in the blink of an eye, in fire.......It was frightening.

Some guy, an Astronaumar of some kind, I guess, caught sight of a meteorite in the sky one night, through that enormous thing of a telescope..... It was large...... Amazingingly big..... About the size of the state of Arizona, if the stories were true. That was the beginning......

He, of course, called the government, telling them that.... a huge meteorite was heading for the earth. That, of course, caused quite an uproar...... NASA sent up a rocket, for some reason, to check it out. Personally, I think there was more to the story..... Boy. Was I right......

You see, NASA found something up there..... What, I can't even begin to guess. What I do know, however, as everyone now adays does, is what happened afterwords.....

....NASA brought back something..... something they wanted to keep hush-hush...... They should have known that that was impossible.... They managed to keep it covered for a surprising amount of time...... 4 years, in fact...... Then they released something..... a machine.....

...You see, this machine had the power in it to change the world..... the eliminate world hunger.... to eliminate all illnesses in the world..... we should've known that there was more too it......

.... As the world gathered to celebrate, the US government brought out the machine......... No guards were needed, of course......... Who would steal something that would benefit the whole world?......

.... The President himself turned on the machine, you know...... I was there when it happened...... 13 years old...... so innocent....... As the switch was thrown, all hell broke loose...........

...The sky turned black, and the moon looked as if dipped in blood..... the ground shook..... the world screamed, so it seemed....... but it was the people themselves that screamed....... the world seemed to become inverted...... men changed before my eyes..... became part animal..... part monster..... or wholy monster....... Fire erupted everywhere..... the ground heaved things into the air...... the wind screamed with the force of a hurricane....... and all manner of impossible things happened..... things out of dreams....... and things out of nightmare....

.... For...you see..... That night.....

....Magic entered the world......

....Everything after was a blur..... I remember things..... glimpses.... flashes of memory, I suppose.... men going wild...... beasts from fantasy.... myths....... dreams..... nightmares...... all roamed the earth....... The government tried to restore order...... but even they couldn't cope with what was happening....... no one could........

... Another 3 years passed before anything resembling order was formed.... the Government had restored order in the Chaotic Hell they had made of the world...... But what were they going to do with those remaining humans who had gained powers?......

The Government began rounding up those of us with powers.... taking us to labs to be..... tested...... like lab rats........ with no better living then dogs.... forced to train every day....... running hundreds of laps around the course...... lifting weights...... displaying our magic powers...... It was a life, i suppose....

Inside here.... I've heard rumors of something........ a people that have decided to rule this new world...... to take it by force.... kill all opposition.....

Some of the others are thinking of escape........ Their reasons are their own...... Me?.... what am I thinking of doing, you might ask...... Me..... I'm thinking of escape.....

.... But you know what?...... Out of everything..... after all the torture and training....... all I want to know is..... What caused all of this?....





The World has changed into a world of magic. Technology exists, but so does all manner of mythical creatures and things out of Fantasy. The goal is to find what caused this change, and to end it, if possible, and if that is your wish. The world has changed conpletely. The release of the magic has changed the face of the world in some places. Cities still exist, but wilderness has encroached on civilization. Will you survive this changed world?

RACES

Elementalist:
These guys are the "mages" of this RP. Sorta. They use the 4 elements (Earth, Fire, Wind, Water) to fight, hence the name. Use of abilities use up stamina, so keep that in mind. It drains you to use these. The more difficult the task, the more tired you will become.

Beastling:
Beastlings are like Were-animals. They have a animal/human cross form. They do not shapeshift. However. They have increased senses and different abilities dependant upon the animal of which they are a part of. here are some examples.



Shapeshifter-
These people have the ability to shapeshift (duh), But there is a price. They tend to start thinking of themselves as the animals they become. Because of this, they have a Rage ability, in which their strength doubles, and they become fierce, but, they go wild, attacking friend and foe alike.

Shadow Walker-
These creatures are part of the shadow's they control. Every shadow is a gateway, except the shadow of a living creature. They can manipulate any shadow not connected to a living entity. But, like the Elementalists, using such power drains you. These people have black eyes, all around. their whole eye is black. Their skins are dark, and they tend to shun the light, wearing clokes to hide from the light.

Pale Masters-
These are the people that deal with the dead. Necromances is a common name for them. They hate it when others call them that. They love the dead, using their powers to bring the dead to unlife, becoming slaves to the Pale Master's will. They can speak with the dead, and can even rip skeletons from an enemies body. That is forbidden, however, and is hardly, if ever, done. It is only used as a last resort. <-- remember that.

Master of the Unseen Hand-
Also known as Psychics. They are known more for their use of Telekinesis than their other abilities, hence their name. They can use their minds to leap unimaginable hights. This is the only race whose abilites can be used by other races. However, you must ask me, Lanfaer, for that privilage. <--- Important! They are normally quiet people, and tend to be spies. They make friends with other easily, since they know people through their psychic abilities. Anyone of the other races that has psychic abilites has only one, while Masters of the Unseen Hand have all psychic abilities. And no one who uses psychic abilities can use them against a Master, for the Master is always stronger when it comes to using Psychic abilities.

Personality: He does what he can to help others, even if those others don't see it. He is a kind person, but has many inner demons that he has yet to face. He is very soft spoken, his voice never getting loud. He's never once raised his voice in anger.

Bio: He was taken young to be experimented on. he quickly became the leader of the others in their "home", and is treated with respect even by the scientists there. he is a lonewolf, and likes to be alone. he smokes and drinks when he can, but never seems to get drunk. He is an Elementalist, and has the power of Telekinesis. Zeke had been at the lab for 5 years. While many at the lab were older, every one of the 'lab rats' treated him as a leader, for he had been there the longest.

Keep in mind everyone. Everyone is still a Lab Rat in the facility. No one has escaped yet.


Also, Demon Gundam, there are no subraces for the Elementalist. There may be later, however, and if there are, you can choose from one.

Races are for now one only. You could, at a later day, mutate, gaining the same abilities as a Pale Master, though to a lesser extant. it really depends on how many players we'll have, and how far it goes.
