Akasha had started to wander away from her family. There was no particular reason why, but the dangers of being a rogue seemed to seduce the young lioness more than a somewhat peaceful life with her family just on the outskirts of the Pridelands. She might never quite leave them, but she would start only coming to see them about every other day. She still did care about her mother, though maybe not her sisters so much, and with her father and brother still gone, it was like they were out of the picture.
The wind blew her little floof of hair on her head as she looked up at the sky. "A storm is coming," she said to the clouds. It would be a long night.

A storm was exactly what Dath liked. It never seemed to be the same twice, always throwing everything around in a mild chaos as the living beings on the world would hide from it's strong winds, and driving rain. Yes, exactly what he wanted.
Well, besides the rain. A wet coat never did any good, unless it was wet with blood.
He noticed that there was another staring up at the sky. "Interesting," he commented, taking note. It looked like a female from here (he was a pretty good judge of that), and so he decided taht perhaps he would stalk her for a little while.
Who knows, it might lead to something interesting in his eyes.

A single drop of rain had tapped the bridge of Akasha's nose.
"Eww. Rain. I guess I'd better find some shelter." She glanced around, not seeing much as the sky darkened quickly. Storms flew through the lands as quickly as they came, so perhaps it wouldn't last too long. She broke out into a trot, not finding much for about a mile or two. Finally, there was an outcropping of rocks, as she soon slipped inderneath them. It wasn't too cramped, surprisingly, though it was a bit unnerving to me under rocks, with the earth underneath you. It seemed that it had been a den for someone else a while ago, as she pushed out dead foliage that had blown inside of the cave.
"There, I guess I'll just wait it out," she breathed, sitting at the back of the cave as she heard the crashing sounds of the heavy rainfall. At least water wouldn't be hard to find for a little while.

The god let his ghostly black-coloured fire form take over, as he knew it would be much harder to spot him in the darkened lands with the heavy rain around him. Plus, if he held it with enough pwoer, it would keep most of the water off of him, and that was one irritation that would drive hima way from stalking the pretty young lioness.
With a swish of his tail, he was right behind her, only pausing as she seemed to disappear under rocks. Was there really enough room for her to fit in there? After seeing some old twigs and leaves being shoved out like a meerkat, he decided that there must be. He couldn't resist, and let his 'mortal' form take over, his wings, horn, and jewelry hiding from sight and sound. For added kicks, he let his red area appear a grey colour, so he would seem a bit less standoutish, and a bit more 'normal' than with his crimson red coat.
He slipped into the cave, acting like he owned the place. "Excuse me," he commented with a bit of a sneer. "Do you always barge into the homes of others?"

Akasha was startled when the other lion had entered the cave. She was dumbfounded at first, merely looking at the grey-and-black lion blankly as she tried to let her mind wrap around that. Did she? But she didn't see anyone in here. There were no signs that anyone lived in here, and that should be evident enough when she had to push out all of those sticks and leaves just so she could be comfortable in here.
"Really? They you must like to live in filth, then, since I cleaned it out once I stepped foot in here." She sent a little glare at the form of the other, though she didn't know if he would see. It was a bit dark, and her sky-blue eyes didn't have that much of a sharp look to them if there wasn't an attitude behind it.

A flare up of anger filled the 'lion', but he let it stay inside. No, he really didn't feel like acting out on that anger. Instead, he would play with it, see just how far and how sharp the tongue was of this little lioness. He would give into his impluses sometimes, but tonight did not seem like the right night.
"Filth? Well, surely you haven't had to make sure that no one finds you, then, have you? I merely keep to myself, nothing more." He settled himself down at the entrance of the cave, though he had to tell himself to let his muscles relax. He had pinned the lioness in the cave, whether she noticed it or not. And so if she wanted to escape any time soon, she would have to try and wrestle pass him, which was impossible in his mind. With a grin, he looked at the lioness, curled up at the back of the cave to see what her reply to that would be.

Akasha snorted. She could hardly believe that. Who would want to hide? Especially if you were such a big lion as this male? It was hard to believe, and she kept to her skepticism. She shifted her weight a bit, taking note that he had decided to block the entrance. What was he going to do? She was slightly nervous, but only because he was pretty big, and she didn't know if she could take a lion down that was just that big.
"Surely that couldn't be, though, not with how large you are. Unless you've got many against you, it is hard for me to believe." She kept a cautious tone in her words, but a bit stern as well. She wasn't going to drop her attitude for him. She just tried to keep a bit of another's words in her mind. Use more slick words to try and get what you want, then she would be safe.

Dath couldn't help but chuckle at her words. Naive, he assumed, and a bit too firey herself with that attitude. It was a bit refreshing, after meeting so many lionesses who tried to use their words to slink up and bite you, this one instead decided to be blunt and harsh with her words.
"Vocal," he replied, though he let a bit of silence linger between the two of them. "But it is different when you have quite a group wishing the hate of the world on you." And it was the truth, he was sure of it with everything that he had done against others. And oohhh, it wouldn't be the end of it either. It was just too much of a sick thrill to let it go.

Hate of the world? "Surely not. There's nothing anyone could do for so many to hate that." Perposterous! She was about ready to head out into the rain just to get away from this weird, crazy lion. Yes, she had deemed him crazy in her mind. Maybe that's why he was living all alone in such a weird place, filled with dirt and filth.
Something that Akasha didn't know was who he was, and indeed there was enough hate towards him that he deserved it. It was a lucky night for her indeed to not have to witness that, either.
"Perhaps these others just find you a bit strange. I do."

Dath grinned. He couldn't help it, but that devilish grin escaped from his facade. "Strange? You know that could be taken in many different ways. Strange as odd, just a bit different from others. Strange to the fact that I'm not exactly like everyone else, and just stand out, but not in a bad light. Strange, to the fact that I am crazy. So which one would it be?"
He hadn't realized that he had been shifting around a bit, and a small opening, just enough for the lioness to squeeze through if she was swift enough.
He studied her for another moment. It was hard in the dark, and the storm outside had not let up. The hole to his side would only grow, as whenever he felt a bit of the water hit him, he shifted just a bit more into the cave to escape the rain.

Akasha only just started to notice that the whole next to him had started to grow. It was hard to tell at times if he had noticed, though, because the darkness hid it well, along with his coat colour. She merely did her best to keep her eyes on him, though, instead of the whole, so he wouldn't notice.
"Perhaps a bit of the latter," she said with a harsh tone. "You come here, only after I clean out the cave, and demand that it is your own. Then claim that you are hiding from others, when in fact you keep your back to the entrance of the cave. Not something one would do if they feared for their life," she lectured, her tone growing stronger and louder by the moment.
She wasn't scared, but there was a mix of fear with the excitement of the matter. She was happy to be able to tell someone exactly what she felt without much fear gripping her to twist the words into something sweet. It felt good.

Dath growled at the lioness. "Vocal, as I said before." His body grew tense as his patience did as well. At first he had complimented it, but because she had agreed to him a fool, it bruised his ego. He calmly told himself that this mortal had no idea just who she was talking to, though, so he could interpret the persona he created to be the fool, and not him. No, he was never a fool, and never would be. He was a god.
"Still, you are testy as much as you are smart. I still claim to my story that I live here, but who would dare come and try to hunt me when it is stormy out? It is almost impossible to see out there, with the rain falling so hard. I should be safe, unless you are to be considered a threat."

"A threat? Whenever would a young lioness be a threat to a male?" she sang sweetly, all the while telling her mind to keep calm. She knew that she needed to make her escape at the right time. If she didn't make it out, then who knows what would happen to her. She shuddered at the thought, since she knew little to nothing about this strange lion.
C'mon....c'mon.....come on! With little patience, the lioness grew antsy.
Finally, a freee moment. She swiftly pounced upwards with a leap, claws extended as she swatted at the male's eyes, hopefully to keep him distracted as she squeezed out of the hole that he had opened up for her unintentionally.

It was something that Dath had not expected. She was actually trying to escape. Escape! No one escaped him. No, he only left them when he was done with them, no matter what they were.
So the sudden sting of a blow across his face came as quite a surprise. With a snarl, he tried to grab for her. With his eyes stinging, though, it was quite a difficult task. A bit of luck was on his side, though, and he was able to catch the lioness' tail. But with the way paws were built, he wasn't able to do much but give it it's own set of fresh wounds courtesy of his claws.
"Witch!" he cried, his facade around him flickering for a moment in his rage. He never was one good at holding an illusion around him, his pride of being who he was got in the way of that.

The pain that shot up her spine from her tail shocked the lioness, for she didn't expect him to be able to lash out at her. But it soon was pushed back, for it was something she would have to deal with later, when she was out of harm's way. For now, though, she could still be in danger if that lion was a quick runner.
She pushed her way out of the rocks, the rain beating down on her face, and soon, the rest of her body. She was frozen for a moment, disoriented, trying to figure out how to get back home. Panic struck her as she realized that she had no idea which direction the Pridelands lay, and thus, her home.
She only paused for a moment before darting off north from the rocks, hoping that it was the correct way, and that soon she would be away from danger and able to treat her wound.
