 I'll have to go with Mephiles, for being the first one to actually kill Sonic, being something Eggman couldn't do his whole life.

My choice of villain isn't even on here. But I'll at least post it. The one villain who I've found who's "better, faster, harder, stronger" (Daft Punk reference) than Robotnik/Eggman, is a character from the Archie published "Sonic The Hedgehog" comic books, named "Mammoth Mogul". He is an ageless and giant mammoth with nearly limitless chaos, arcane and psychic powers, and even more ageless wisdom and knowledge. Sonic can't even scratch him without a lot of help from friends and teammates! Why Mogul hasn't decided to do Sonic in is beyond me. I think Mogul wants Sonic as his mind-slave for his own villainous purposes.
Mogul's been "defeated" over and over again, and sealed away several times. But he always manages to somehow escape and wreak havoc, again. I'm inactively voting "Mammoth Mogul" due to his immense power, and total persistence. He never surrenders, and is always hundreds of steps ahead of his foes.

I'll say Mephiles because he is mean to me, nah just kidding. But Mephiles would make a better villain than Eggman. (I still haven't played the XBox 360 Sonic The Hedgehog yet)

The answer is obviously Choas...HE'S A F***ING GOD!!!! A GOD I SAY!!!! I don't even know who that second dude is...or how to pronounce his name and I'm sure if I knew, the first thing to come out of my mouth would be, 'try to say that five times fast.' And Mephilis can kiss my a**...i want a ps3 crying . Although Metal Sonic was pretty good, especially in Sonic Heroes.
