Riko was semi-heading back towards the Pridelands after Nerit had pointed out that his sister might already be home. Logically speaking, Kiwi knew where home was better than Riko knew wherever the heck she was. If she didn't show up, he'd have to find another way to get to her.. he just had no idea where to start with that. He'd worry about that later.
He was in a rather better mood than before, after seeing Nerit. It was an odd sort of ego boost, a touch more exciting than just compliments really. He was smart enough to know what could happen, but wasn't sure he'd ever see her again anyway so.. all was well in his mind.

The aging mother, still not old, but not as young as she was when she met the love of her life wandered, heading back towards the cave she once called her home, the cave that Mvumo had liberated her from. She was walking leisurely taking in the sights of the long walk she took, it was not within the pride's borders, but it was close enough to almost be considered their land.
The light brown lioness was making this trip to feel closer to her mate, she thought that if she went back to where they met so long ago she would feel a reconnection to him, instead of just feeling distant. He was there, but it felt like he was in the past, in another life. She walked her light eyes taking in the sights.

Riko was in a good mood, and it only wavered a second when he spotted a familiar form walking nearby. He could have sworn he saw Nerit walking by, for he definitely saw a lioness of similar colors. A good look, though, and it was easy to see a lot of specific traits were missing. Like the light stars and circle on her side..
However, he was intrigued.
Standing still where he was now, he only watched her for a moment.

Aadil was not lost in thought on this day, she was observant and wanting to see what it was she had missed in all those years. One thing she did not remember was the young yellow and pink male that was watching her, she walked along following him with her eyes as she moved.
"Do I know you?" She asked suddenly, he really did look familiar but she could not place where his features came from, where they from someone she had met? He did not look like one of Shani's or Ghali's friends, he looked older than her young one.
"You look extraordinarily familiar," she stopped in her tracks and turned her full body towards him.

Riko smirked when she noticed him, and was pleased to see her come over his way. He was still a little over excited and out of his usual sense from the meeting with Nerit. This lioness was considerably older than the other lioness, but she still very much reminded him of her, in a way.
"I don't think we've met," he shook his head, shaking his head, "But you look a lot like someone I know, just as beautiful."
Was he stretching his luck? Maybe, but he was having fun.

Nerit and Aadil had similar body types they both were shorter and msucluar, somewhat stocky they had gotten their body type from their father although neither knew of this. She smiled and looked down in embarrassment, "You're not bad yourself, handsome," she answered in a very Nerit manner and felt bad instantly she was usually very loyal to her mate and would never make such a comment, but he was distant and in his place she felt a gap that could be filled with compliments.
"You must just look like someone I know from the pride," she answered him, "Are you heading that way? Or are you rogue?"

Riko beamed when she returned the compliment, deciding it would be rude and ruin the moment if he mentioned she was like an older version of who he was talking about. He might not be overly sensitive to others, but even he knew that.
"Ooh? I hope it's no one troublesome," he remarked, "I'm not a rogue, what about you?"

"I'm not sure, perhaps some of your family," she answered and bobbed her head in her familiar fashion and a grin spread across her maw. "I'm on my way looking for a cave I lived in years ago." Probably before this cute young thing was even thought of, her grandson was probably his age. She tried very hard not to think about that.
"Perhaps you could escort me to my cave? It is always better to travel in pairs than alone," that and I'm getting so old I don't remember exactly were it is, why don't you help me look, she held back her cynical comments.

Knowing his family, and he did, she might well have met any of them. From Habu's list, Riko knew he had more family than he'd ever met soo, it could happen. Especially if she was from the Pridelands. He didn't respond to the idea more than with a shrug and smile, though. Hopefully it wasn't one of his idiot brothers.
The suggestion of helping her might not usually have been so accepted, but he was in a good mood and feeling rather.. ambitious at the moment, you could say. Company in the rogue lands was proving to be a lot better than those in the Pridelands.
"I'd be happy to," he agreed.

She started off again in the direction she knew where the cave was, not which cave was it? She walked slowly, not yet an old bat but well on her way. She had already had her quota of children or so she thought and she assumed that made her old.
"Always pleased to have a cute young man on my arm," she joked pleasantly smirking at him in a way she reserved only for her mate, oh what was she going to tell Mvumo!
"What do you do for the pride? I am a huntress, but not a very good one." she said good-naturedly.

Riko turned himself around and join Aadil in the walk along at her side. Her comment made him smirk once again, and he couldn't help but think this was too easy. He'd never actually sought out an ego boost before now, but if it kept working out like this he might as well keep doing it.
"I never feel quite as lucky as when I have someone like you on mine," he agreed smugly, admitting his experience as much as she was with her comment. He couldn't help but pull a slight frown at the question of the pride- until she admitted she wasn't a very good huntress.
"Hunter, but I'm no good either."

Aadil walked on, taking note that he had had many females in his short time, perhaps he knew well how to entertain one and she blushed at his something of a compliment luckily her dark fur hid the crimson skin well.
She was never very good at small talk, directions and the weather yes, this type of small talk no, "I um..I have a mate..but he's not.." how did she explain he was there but did not really feel there.."he's been distant from me, a lady my age feels..lonely.." she practically stuttered out her sentence and even had to slow her pace as she thought.
Noticing she was slowing she sped up a bit to keep pace thinking things through in her mind, she did get lonely, and at times wanted the attention she was getting from this young male, to make her feel young, rejuvenated. and that's when Aadil made a split decision that would seal her fate.

Moment of truth. Did Riko have limits?
No, apparently not. He hardly flinched when she mentioned that she had a mate, it was hardly worth getting upset over- she was still being perfectly friendly and feeding his ever growing ego. There was no reason to complain or even really stop unless she meant it as a cue to do so. Which he would, of course, soon find out.
"That's too bad," he commented, "He shouldn't want someone so lovely lonely and wandering about."

"No, he really should not," she agreed with him and bobbed her head, a general sign of contentment or stress, in this case it was a mixture of both she was happy to have his company, his compliments made her feel flattered and years young like before she had her children.
"How sweet and cute are you?" she purred at him, and bumped her shoulder into his side, like a young teen aged lion would her new best friend, ahh to feel young again.
She had tucked the thought of Tete and Shani being the same age or older/younger as this one neatly back in her mind and just enjoyed herself.

Riko couldn't help but smile smugly at her agreeing with him about how her mate shouldn't want her out here with him. It was almost like a compliment to him, potentially dangerous (which made it a little more exciting) though. He wasn't so sure about being called cute, but he could take it to be however he wanted- and for him that was good.
He purred at her nudge, still smiling.
"So, this cave of yours," he asked, "Are we getting closer?"
He would leave it to her to decide if he was just him trying to get back onto the topic of their little walk or something less innocent. He had a fall back either way, really.
