OMG! I just took a three hour nap and had this killer dream! I'm really weird in that I like my nightmares, and the only recent ones have been ones about guidance counselors and key club advisers. I yawn thinking about it. So, eventually I'm going to write this as a short story since I've been wanting to write a short story for a while now.
THE NIGHT(DAY)MARE OF DOOM
Let me describe you a little bit of the setting. Where I live is quite rural. My house is on a 5 acre lot, and on the edge of it are trees. And then after the trees....there is farmland. I'll describe more of my house when I describe the dream.
I am halfway between a really small village (two actually, one right after the other), and then if you go the extreme opposite you go to the 'city' (not really a big city, but expanding because of troops up in the Fort near us).
Ok, so we had some real small play rehearsals (for "Kiss Me Kate") and the first one ended at 6:00 pm. All the rooms in the school were being used or locked, because it was a Saturday, so we had to go to one of the country clubs (they have a nice room where none of the bar people are aloud to go once we rent it).
Now, here's the cast (making up new names of course ^_^):
Mrs. Swithin - The choir teacher and director
Miss Helen - An English teacher that does the drama part of our production
Gabrielle Viltras - Me! ^_^
Lena Viltras - Mommy
Adrian Viltras - Daddy
Aiden Rohka -One of my closest (guy) friends
Ok, so we're at the country club. I said I needed a ride home so I can eat dinner before our 7:00 pm rehearsal, and Miss Helen said she'd drive both me and Aiden home (we live in the same direction). So, we get to my house, and my dad says, "Come on in! I brought home cheese to sample and everything!" (my dad makes cheese for a living). So we go into the garage to get in, but right off of the driveway, there's a walk, with some rocks and bushes on the side of it, and a few bird feeders and trees a little off the walk. And that's the main door (that'll come into play later).
So we're inside the house, and we hear something outside but don't think about it too much, and for some reason the main door is on the outside, the glass door is on the inside, and the main door is open while the glass door is barely latched. I don't really pay much attention to these details until my dad jokes around and says, "I think I see wolves out there." Then he tilts his head and says, "Actually I really do see wolves out there, they seem to be rolling around in their pray or something..."
I look, and I see these 'wolves'. They aren't really wolves, though. They seem to have more of the body of a gray hound, a little pit longer softer fur, and they have more of the longer ears like basset hounds, only fuzzy. I remember saying, "Oh, they are really cute, actually!" I run and get a flashlight (why the hell I didn't just turn on the outside light, I don't know, its a dream!), and I shine it on one of them. I scream.
These things, yes they have that kind of body. But once the light shines on them, they have the shorter ears like a gray hound, and their skin is really disgusting. If you know what Freddy Kruger's skin looks like from Nightmare on Elmstreet, its kind of like that melty feel, and at the same time, it looks really moist and nasty (wonderful at descriptions, if I write this as a short story, I'll be better at it). And they are rolling around on remains of what looks like a rabbit, and just circling outside. The one is up at the glass door and looking at me. I reach my hand up to latch the door, but before I can, this other animal lunges at where the door opens, and tries to get in while I'm trying to shut it.

This one kind of reminds me of a cross between a rabbit (killer rabbit xD Monty Pythonage) and a koala bear, but a political cartoon version where you don't see the nostrils at all. So, its kind of like that style of nose, and the nostrils are to the side like a rabbit. Its reddish-tanned furred, and its eyes are kind of closed. And it has nasty teeth that I see in my battle of getting it out of the door. Finally I succeed, and finally am able to latch the door. I go into the kitchen, where everyone else is staring at me with a scared look in their eye. I said, "Why don't you call Mrs. Swithin, I doubt we'll be able to make it to rehearsal with those things out there!" So Miss Helen does so.
So, I was getting really scared, so instead of sleeping in my room in the basement, my mother decided I should make a bed at the foot of their bed. So I ran downstairs and grabbed all my blankets, pillows...stuffed animals (xD) and brought them upstairs. Miss Helen was going to stay in our guest room, and Aiden? I don't remember, I think by this point he wasn't of importance to my dream. Maybe he got eaten by Koabits (as I now call them xD).
So, as I was walking past this glass door, I noticed there was some sort of exotic bird, probably the size of a parakeet, and it was pecking at the window to try to get in (like a woodpecker), and the Koabit was ramming into the door with its nose (multi-purpose nose xD), and the wolfy things were...just watching and waiting. I was getting really scared. So, we turn on the TV, and the anchor woman is reading the latest story:
"A shipment of exotic carnivores was lost in a train wreck somewhere in a Northern part of New York State. No one is exactly sure, because this place is so small no one really cares about it. (Me: ^_^; Great) They were imported from somewhere deep in the jungles of Malaysia, and are extremely dangerous. If you find them, please call the number on this screen."
....
Then I woke up.
So yeah, that's my dream. That's why I wanted to do it all in one sitting, because I forgot half of it. Darn it all! So, what do you think of it? I'm going to write a short story, and jazz it up and everything (poor Aiden will, in fact, actually be eaten), and I'll have an actual ending to it. Hehe, so discuss:
