Vulcan yawned, having just finished eating. The stallion brought his bright wings near his body, warming himself with their heat. It was one perk of his genes. One forth nightmare, one forth kalona, one half flutter. Quite the mix, but it certainly brought some interesting features.
It was a cold and windy day. Winter was dying, but it clearly wasn't going down with out a fight. Oh no, it would fight it's way down, making sure that each soquili would not forget it's strength as lady spring approached.
A strong gust came, whipping his hair backwards and into his eyes, flying behind him as if it itself was fire as well. Then again, from what he heard, his mother had fire hair. None of his siblings had inherited that particular trait, but he had gotten the colors. The blue hot 'flames' at his scalp to the crackling red ones of his ends.

The tiny foal knew nothing of his parents. No family, but small group that decided to adopt him. A huge brother, a short aunt, and a short mother. All were interesting in their own ways. Azhar being one of the most interesting of the small group.
As the tiny foal walked, the strong wind blew and almost sent him toppling over. His banner flapped and his tiny mane blew back with the wind. Instead of wearing his hat on his head, the tiny foal was carrying it in his mouth. It was too hard to keep up with when it was windy.
Baby New Year's baby blue eyes looked around for the stallion named Jack Frost. He was probably around here somewhere causing all of this wind and cold. Most others didn't believe in Jack Frost or father time, but Azhar knew they were out there. Were they his missing family members?

Vulcan trotted along under the trees. He didn't mind the wind, and the cold wasn't something he was unfamiliar with. At least it wasn't raining. He absolutely despised water. The direct opposite of everything he represented, air and fire, water was not something he enjoyed to come in contact with.
In his thought's, the stallion caught something out of the corner of his eye. He turned to look. It...whatever it was...was tiny. So tiny, in fact, he could barely make out to what it was. But it was moving, and had something whipping from it. The form was that of a small animal perhaps...but no small animal he seemed to recognize.
Ever curious and fearless, he decided to investigate. Then again, it wasn't like anything that small could be of any trouble. The truth was, the stallion feared very little. Kalonas were not a threat, he shared their blood. And anything else...well. He didn't really care. They weren't going to give him trouble if he didn't give any. Right?

The sound and feeling of pounding hooves against the ground sent the tiny foal's heart pounding against his chest. His mother, or the mare he called his mother, had warned him about bigger creatures that could easily hurt him.
Surprisingly, Azhar wasn't afraid, just spooked. He wasn't expecting anyone to be out here. The bite sized foal thought he was alone. Azhar's baby blue eyes looked around for the owner of the huge hooves.
When Azhar saw the tall, black stallion making his way towards him, Azhar decided to try and make friends with this soquili. The childish foal picked up his pace and trotted up to the stallion. This stallion had weird things on his back, which made the foal's eyes light up. "What are those?!"

Vulcan looked down to see the most enigmatic thing he had ever laid eyes upon. It was a...foal. But so impossibly small! Sure, he knew that foals could be runtish, or smaller then most others. But this one was...tiny! So tiny, that he wasn't sure how it could possibly be a real soquili.
And then, it spoke. Asking about.. his wings. Vulcan grunted. Explaining such things to a pipsqueak... this would be annoying.
"Wings. They happen to be on fire. I got that from my mother" he said, snorting, and then, deciding that the foal saw no need to hide his blunt questions, to ask his own. "Now, may I ask, what are you? I've never seen a foal so incredibly tiny in my entire life!" he said, leaning down so he was nearly at the foals level.
She stallion let a friendly grin spread across his face. Vulcan knew that sometimes he was...not exactly saintly. However, he had a slightly soft spot for foals. And this one was quite...small. He wasn't sure weather this made it look cuter, or simply more pathetic!

Azhar listened closely then nodded his head when the stallion explained. At the look of his eyes, Azhar knew something was making him curious. Was it his size or his clothing? Most others asked about both, but the colt didn't mind explaining, it was fun seeing the reaction of others.
"Me? I'm a... um..." He tried to think of the word his mother had told him. "I'm a colt!" That was one thing he remembered her calling him. The other word was kinda strange. "Usd..ia...?" Azhar said in a sort of questioning manner. He wasn't too sure of the word, but that was what he thought his mother figure had said.
"Thats what my mother said anyways... a usdia." His thoughts came rushing back and he nodded his head. "Yep yep!" Azhar could remember the whole conversation about where his mother figure came from and what everything was called: stallions, colts, fillies, mare, usdia, and soquilis.
