You know how some anime may end up getting produced by a different company or something, and have new people working on the same anime, but different in its' own way? Such that the story goes back to the beginning pretty much and sometimes veer away from what it originally was, have different voice actors, even completely different artists animating them? Do you watch these OVAs, or do you find it not to be as good as the original anime?
... I don't have many good examples, but the ones that I know that has had OVAs are Green Green, Hanukyou Maid Tai, ... I think Mahoujin Guruguru's Doki Doki... something.. is considered an OVA, though I'm not sure.. And if so, it was a much more successful OVA than the other two anime I've mentioned.. ._. Oh, and I'm not sure what to consider all the Lupin the IIIrd anime. They've been around since forever, and... you'll probably see a huge difference in the artwork if you check out the movies.. One of them had a very different cast of voice actors as well.
But.. yeah. Do you guys know of any anime that has had OVAs, and what did you think of them? Discuss.

I like the OVA's that continue an anime, but not remake it.
Like the original Hunter X Hunter was good, then the three OVA series that followed... But something like Ah! My Goddess being remade gets kinda boring.
Right now I'm watching the second or third (lost count) OVA of Prince of Tennis... Semifinals!

I tend to like OVA's that turn into a series, such as Samurai X (became Rurouni Kenshin), Ghost in the Shell, and Read or Die.
