David Bowie is the biggest and most enduring fashion manifesto for more the four decades. He was born in the quiet town of Beckenham in England, but his fathers job as publicity manager for Dr Barnardo gave Bowie the dream of stardom. He was born as David Jones but after his third band, he renamed himself as David Bowie for a Single called "Can''t Help Thinking About Me." Three years later Bowie struck gold with the still famous "Space Oddity."

The world shortly geared to dub Bowie the dubious pleasure of being a one hit wonder but in 1971 he shocked everyone by releasing yet another album called "The Man Who Sold the World." I might also add that bowie looks stunning in drag. He can be a pretty damn hot chick when he wants to be. The album was different than anything Bowie had ever done; his style had turned into actual rock through Mick Ronson''s hard and heavy solos.

To make a VERY long story short, about every 3 years Bowie has come out with a new album, and about every 6 years he has undergone a serious makeover. I have always said that he has gotten hotter as he got older but that is only half the truth, David Bowie is so versatile that he can appeal to every generation without looking like a sell out. Bowie can be compared to Cher, he doesn''t age like normal people and he is still big even though he is 20 years out of his prime. However I like to think Bowie is even cooler than Cher because he still has yet to have a farewell concert just to sell tickets.

But you left off his acting career, know some people who never heard his music, but know him from Labyrinth.
