Plot 300 years have passed since Sakura Kinomoto captured and changed the 53 Clow Cards created by Clow Reed. A combination of Eastern and Western magic centered on the concepts of natural forces and elements, each Clow Card on its own is a powerful weapon, and whoever wields their combined strength would be unstoppable. When Sakura Kinomoto died, she kept the Cards locked in the Book until the day they would be needed again. The Book passed from generation to generation, still unopened, moving around as the descendants moved. It finally ended up in San Tomeda, California, in the United States. Now the Cards are missing, scattered mysteriously around the town. Why here? Why now? Is it something to do with this town? Maybe it's because a few of it's inhabitants are... a little more than ordinary? They don't know it yet, but a few kids are about to their lives drastically altered. Overview and Character Skeletons There are three different kinds of people you can RP as: Chosen Card Captors, Magic Wielders, and Normal Humans. There will also be one person (who we need before we start) to play Kerberos (you will need to know the Japanese anime well and have an unnatural love of pudding). Chosen Card Captors Chosen Card Captors (CCC) are people who are chosen by Kero to locate, capture, and eventually change the Clow Cards. In the end, there can only be one true Card Captor, but the Guardian of the Seal reserves the right to choose as many candidates as he wants. A CCC will be granted their own Key to aid in the capture of Cards. The Key is usually hidden in some small form (necklace, bracelet, etc.), until the proper incantations are said to release it. If you choose to be a CCC, you'll have a choice of one Card of moderate power to start off with (you can just 'find' the Card, or if you're creative enough, catch it without help of another Card). Only one person can have a specific Card, first come, first serve. All CCCs are new to this business. If you like, you can say that you're able to sense things well or that you sometimes have prophetic dreams, because that makes sense. But no CCC can start throwin' fireballs or lifting things with their mind (unless of course you have FIREY or FLOAT), get it? Using the Cards a lot is tiring, especially when you're just starting out. Take this into account when you role-play. Your magic energy will increase with use, so it will gradually become easier for you to use Cards. If two or more people assist in catching a Card, the person who makes the Card vulnerable to capture gets the Card. That's how it was done it the show, that's how it will be done here. Magic Wielders For those of you familiar with CCS, think Syaoran. For those not, a Magic Wielder is someone who utilizes Eastern or Western magic in a way unrelated to the Clow Cards. They may use ofuda (those funny little scrolls of paper with magic on them) or other creative means to channel the magic. Generally you need some kind of incantation. Many are adept at martial arts, as the two sects of discipline often intertwine. Eastern magic generally focuses on controlling the elements, while Western magic focuses on controlling natural forces (i.e. 'Harry Potter' kind of magic). Using magic is taxing on the body and mind, and will tire you out quickly if not used properly. Take this into account while role-playing. Magic Wielders CANNOT capture Clow Cards. Only those with Keys can do that. HOWEVER, if a Wielder plays a major part in the weakening of a Card for capture, the Card may choose them as it's master after it has been captured by a CCC. You could be a Wielder who lives in San Tomeda, or an outsider drawn by the Clow Cards. You can be just starting out with magic, or are pretty good at it already. Rules
"Zettai Daijoubu da yo!" 1. Obey the Gaia TOS 2. Keep it PG-13 3. No god-modding. I mean it. The Cards make it real easy to start god-modding, but resist the urge 4. My word is law 5. This is literate, so a couple paragraphs per post minimum. Minor spelling mistakes will be overlooked. I understand that every once in a while, all you can do is a little line, and sometimes that's fine. Just don't make a habit of it. 6. Mention the English version of the show and you die. I mean it. I'll come to your house and kill you 7. San Tomeda, CA (the town where this takes place), is completely fictional. As such, feel free to make up locations to suit the need of the story 8. If two people feel that they both deserve the Card, and one person does not give it up, we'll use the dice role system to determine who it belongs to. 9. At first, Cards will only be able to be sensed by Kerberos and adept Wielders. But as CCCs get more powerful, they will be able to sense them too. IMPORTANT RULE 10. If you wish to reveal a Card for capture, PM me about it. If I approve, then I'll PM Kerberos to tell people about it. You might be the first to know about it, but once the Card is revealed it's anyones game. 11. By the way, you might consider working together with people instead of simply compeating to get the Card faster than the other people. There will definetly be some instances where multiple people NEED to work together to get the job done. 12. PM me for information about playing multiple characters. 13. I'll open and close Accepting at different time. When I feel in a good anime a new character would appear, I'll open it up to new people again. And new-people: have some tact when you come in. Make an entrance.

Chosen Card Captors Gaian Name: Rhm Kinomoto Name: Tim Prower Age: 14 Gender: Male Appearance: Light brown hair cut about medium length, usually combed to the side (most of the time he can't find his comb, so just swipes it with his hands). Dark green eyes. Slightly lanky, average height. Skin is lightly tanned from Californian sun Key Appearance: In its hidden form it is a small red '+' shape with a circle at its cross point. He wears it around his neck and keeps it under his shirt. When released, it becomes a four foot long red staff, engraved along its entire length with a black line an inch wide. The top ends in the same '+' shape with a black circle at the cross point. First Card: The Jump Bio: Tim was born and raised in San Tomeda. He often has strange dreams that come to pass later on. He hasn't told anyone about them, and doubts their credibility until the event actually happens. Tim is usually very cheerful and very hyper, which sometimes results into him rushing into things without thinking it through. He doesn't like it when people around him are down, and will try what he can to cheer them up. He has a strong sense of justice, believing firmly what is right and what is wrong. She has pale orange hair down to the middle of her back and icy blue eyes. Tanned skin and she usually wears blacks and blues that match her eyes. Key Appearance: Short, about the length of her arm and an inch thick. Black, with a blue and white marbled affect. Three Kanji engraved into the top, (I'll reveal later what they mean), and a small transparent sphere attached to the top. Hidden in the shape of a braclet on her right wrist. First Card: The Fly Bio:Born in America but raised in Japan with her grandparents, she is half American and half Japanese. She moved back to the states when she was 13 and is fluent in the language. She only lived with her grandparents because her parents died. Now she lives with her aunt Judy. She has always had good senses, especially in the case of empathy, though it is an on and off thing, something she can't really control. At times a hyper person, she is distracted very easily when she's doing something she doesn't have any interest in. Intelligent for the most part, she often skips classes and still manages to get A's and B's. Her Aunt owns a surf shop and she helps out there after school and during the summers. She loves to laugh and is very emotional, at times breaking out into tears for no particular reason other than she understands why a person feels distraught. I hide it under a baseball cap, and wear boyish clothes. I have brown eyes, and very pale skin. I'm pretty thin, but I eat healthily. Gaian Name: BlackCatSpaz Name: Emer Dagda Age: 15 Gender: Female Appearance: Her hair is medium-length and wildly cut, giving the messy wisps the appearance of fire, a sign of her Irish heritage, and her bright blue eyes are strikingly clear like the sea on a bright summer day. Sometimes her gaze is soft and dreamlike, while other times she seems to be piercing into the very soul of whatever she's watching. An average height, Emer is slender but not fragile, and loves to wear long knee length vests with most of her outfits and soft leather boots, one of her mother's many odd requirements for life at home. Key Appearance: A small silver and gold charm dangles from a delicate silver chain, a necklace. The charm is simple, a silver crescent moon encircles a clear amber sphere. With tips facing downward, the lower half is surrounded by a half circle of curving rays like the sun (it reminds her of Twilight, her favorite time of day). When released it takes the shape of a staff about three-quarters of her height, and instead of facing downward the has 'risen', with the golden rays at the top of the key and the necklace chain lengthening and twining in and around itself in almost vine-like patterns to create the rod. Magic is a tradition in her family, and she's been taught since her childhood. She had a twin brother, who passed away a few of years ago when a spell backfired on him. PictureSkills: Ally says that she is able to sense magical beings Bio: Ally was born is a small village somewhere in South-East Asia, and was orphaned at a young age. She was eventually adopted by a business man and his wife who live in the United States. Since the age of five, Ally has been living with her adopted family in the city of San Tomeda. After a while a living in San Tomeda, Ally kept getting strange feelings when she would go out for a walk, and for a while she thought she was feeling ghosts or something like them. At least until she met one of her first real friends, Steven Richardson, who had moved into town not to long ago. (( We'll start now. I'll be Kero until we get someone to permanently be him. Have fun, and let's make this a good RP! ))
It was night, and Tim was standing on the beach. Waves crashed close to him, spraying him with salty water. As far as he could see, the sea was in turmoil. He looked to his right and saw a girl about his age holding a weird blue staff, yelling at him and pointing out at the ocean, but he couldn't hear any words from her mouth. He couldn't hear anything except the roaring of the surf. She turned and ran up the beach to the road. A little yellow blur followed her. When she reached it she cupped her hands at her mouth and noiselessly yelled at Tim again, then pointed frantically at the ocean. Tim turned and saw a monstrous wave, at least thirty feet high, bearing down toward him. He raised his hand up in alarm, barely noticing the red staff he was holding, as the wave smashed-
"Gooood Morning San Tomeda! It's 7 A.M. on a b-e-a-utiful Friday morning; not a cloud in the sky! This is Charlie Horner on K102.7, San Tomeda's best beach music station!" Tim pulled a pillow over his head and fruitlessly tried to block out the King of Rock and Roll's 'Rock-a-Hula Baby.' But that's why he put the alarm clock on the other side of the room, so he would have to get up to turn it off and not be late for school. He slowly got to his feet and shuffled over to the closet, pulling out a pair of shorts and a white t-shirt with blue hibiscus design on the front.
"We're expecting the next couple days to be completely flat, so sorry to all you surfers listening, but no waves goo-." Tim clicked off the alarm clock and reveled in the silence that followed.
A few minutes later he was outside on his porch, pulling on a pair of roller skates. With practiced ease he got up, slung his backpack on, and kicked off.
The sun was shining bright, summer break was two weeks away, and it was Friday. Needless to say, Tim was feeling pretty good about today. He'd completely forgotten about his dream.

Meanwhile, a small yellow thing floated above San Tomeda, its legs and arms crossed like it was sitting. It opened its eyes and looked down. "California, eh? Never been here before." He did a full circle in the air, sensing the area around him. "A few good candidates..." He started to fly down to a kid in roller blades, then stopped, his nose twitching. "I smell sweety things," he sang. He swooped down, making a beeline for the churro stand being set up on the beach.
(( ... What? Lots of people have roller blades.... It's not because Sakura used them or anything... I just like roller blades *shifty eyes* ))

Ally was already awake and walking over to Steven's house so that they could walk to school together. "Ah, it is such a wonderful day today," she sighed and looked up at the sky. She always loved this time of day best. The air was still fresh and crisp from the night before, and the whole world seemed to be waking from a restful sleep. She was interupted in this thought, however, by a shiver running up her spine. She felt something magical. She gigled at this feeling. "Even the spirits have come out to enjoy the day," she thought as she continued walking.
A little bit later, Ally arrived at the house of Steven Richardson, who was her good friend for a little more than three months. She walked up the flower lined walkway and knocked on the door. After a few seconds with no answer, Ally took it upon herself and opened the door and walked inside.

Steven was still up in his room when Ally entered, so she was instead greeted by Steven's mother. "Hello again Ally. Steven will be down in just a moment," his mother said before walking over to the stairs that led up to his room and yelling, "Steven, you don't want to make both you and Ally late, do you?"
"I get it already! I am almost ready!" Steven called back in response. He was almost finished getting ready for the day ahead as he rummaged through some of the junk on the floor. "I found it!" he said to himself as he picked up one of his favorite T-shirts and quickly putting it on. He made his bed and ran down stairs to greet Ally and say good-bye to his mom, and then he and Ally left the house.

A little yellow dot floated above San Tomeda. "Mm..." Kero swallowed the rest of the churro he had taken in one bite and licked the sugar off his face. "Been forever since I had a churro." He blinked. "Ooh there's something." He could feel a moderate, if mostly untempered, magic energy over... there. He flew just over the outskirts of the city to a little house, masking his own energy. He scrunched his brows, feeling it out. "Four people... only one has magic. Feels young. Eastern style-! That's interesting, out here about as far West as you can get."
He flew down closer. "Don't think it'll work for Clow, though," he mused. "Too steeped in his own magic." He turned around and flew back up. "Still, better keep an eye on him."
He flew lazily back over the main part of town, to the high school. He sighed. "Card's are getting restless, that much is obvious. Almost wish one would start causing trouble so we can get this thing started."

While on their way to school, Ally and Steven were talking about what they would do at school and what they were planning on doing over the summer. Actually, it was mainly Ally who did the talking, Steven mostly just listened like always and throwing in a word everyonce and a while.
"Sigh, it is a perfect day today. Don't you think so to?" Ally asked Steven as she kneeled down to look at a flower garden. "I just hope that Summer break will be even better. And, we are planning on spending time together then, right?" she continued.

Tim wheeled up to San Tomeda High, leisurely coasting down the slight slope.
"Yo, Timmy!" A voice called. Tim turned around and waved at the caller as he coasted backward. "Hey, Will!" Will was one of Tim's best friend. They'd been going to school together since first grade, though as freshmen in high school, they didn't have many classes together.
Will ran to catch up with him. "Dude somethin' really weird happened to me yesterday," he began, "I was trying to catch some swells after school. Water was flat but I was wiggin' out and needed to try."
Tim nodded in understanding, though he didn't really get it. He'd never surfed before; didn't even know how to swim. But Will would tell his stories to anyone who would listen, even a 'total hodad' like Timmy, someone who couldn't surf.
"Right so, completely flat," he went on. "When suddenly I see this nice little wave. Nothin' crazy, but good enough for me. I bashing fine at the beginning, but just as I start to stand, the water..." He paused, searching for words, then snapped his fingers. "Like when someone pulls a rug from under you. So I completely wipe-out."
Timmy raised an eyebrow, and Will raised his hands. "I know what you're thinking, but it wasn't me. I tried it four more times, each time it went differently, and each time I bailed. Completely hokey..."
"That is weird," Tim agreed. They were at the doors to the school now. "We'll talk about it more at lunch, a'ight? I gotta get to homeroom."
Will saluted and smiled. "OK, later."
Timmy quickly rolled to his locker; technically they weren't allowed to wear roller skates in school. He waved to a few people he knew and stuffed the skates in his locker, pulling out his books and stuffing them into his backpack. He slammed the door shut and walked to his first class. He got there just before the bell rang, and settled down to his last boring day of the week.
(( we'll try to get through this school day pretty fast if it's all the same to everybody else. Do all the post you want, but I probably won't do anymore as Tim till school's out.
If you haven't guessed what Card is showing up first yet... then I'm not sure what to do with you. Tonight (RP night) I'll go through the whole theatrics of Kero giving Tim his Key and all that. But, since the other CCC hasn't shown up yet (she told me she was having problems with hackers in her account), I'll wait a little bit longer (real time) for her before having Kero sense the Card and taking Tim to it. To our magic wielders, if you want, that's when you can show your stuff. You'll probably be able to sense the Card too.
EDIT: The high school I go to is a little bit different than other high schools (or so people tell me. I've never been to a different one). It has a block system sort of like a college, but with 9 blocks. I'll try to make Tomeda like other high schools, but if I mess up then just tell me ))

Bree sat down in class, ripping off her Microsoft cap. She patted down her hair, casting her gaze over her fellow classmates. She pulled her notebook out, and gulped. She hadn't talked to anyone yet. She shifted in her seat, and glanced at the empty seat beside her. Who would sit in it? She wondered.
She shook her head, and flipped through her notebook. She stopped on a crude drawing. It was of a small animal. She took out her pencil, and began adding the details. Every dream she had gave her more and more details, but it still didn't tell her anything. The only word that came in her dreams was 'Keroberos'. What did that mean? She wrote it in the top left corner, and returned to drawing.
She glanced at the person behind her, his name was... Tim! Oh yeah. She turned back to look at the page again, and traced her fingers over the pencil lines. In a jerky movement she accidentally slid it on the floor, and in her rush to pick it up she knocked over her bag. Several colored pencils slid out and scattered under desks. She murmured apologies as she went to pick them up.

Tim was abruptly woken from his daydream when the girl in front of him dropped a bunch of pencils. What was her name? God he was terrible with names... He got it: Bree. He instantly dropped down and began to help pick them up. When he stood up he caught a glance at what she had been drawing and froze as his dream came rushing back to him. "Where did you see this?" He said, trying to keep his voice light. The teacher hadn't come in yet, but he still spoke in a low voice.
