This is the thread for casual, non-RP conversation between RPers. Like, where you come to just chat without being "in character." This is a good place to discuss possible RP storylines (which I am in dire need of, by the way) and also to discuss possible deaths in the RPs. Do enjoy.

OOC threads in rp forums should only be used in discussion regarding the rp within the forum. General chat should occur in the main forum, or PM. Chat regarding another rp, within this guild or not, should be in the appropriate subforum's OOC or the main forum.

We really need some sort of a storyline, don't we? sweatdrop
I'm not that great coming up with storylines myself, but I imagine something involving Moldy Voldy would be obvious; he is the big bad guy in this era, afterall.
An old RP storyline that I used to write with friends had to do with Voldemort trying to get his hands on a powerful artifact that would make him invincible, more or less. Harry and friends tried to get to the artifact before he did, with the help of our non-canon characters...
It was pretty fun, but it also involved Demons and other things that probably wouldn't be considered canon. Anyway, I'm just trying to stir the pot a little; hopefully someone can come up with something interesting. xd

Hm, yeah, I totally agree with you. Well, we probably shouldn't use the same storyline, but we could build off of that idea. I was kinda hoping for a war-like thing, y'know, Order vs. Death Eaters, basically the same as the book only not, y'know? Just a suggestion.

So, the wizarding world is at war against Voldemort and his Death Eaters, and the war is threatening to spill into Hogwarts -- something like that? I imagine the students would have had to been trained in offensive and defensive spells in order to protect themselves.
I think that would be quite a sullen storyline, since there would be fear and the possibility of death on everyone's minds. It could be interesting to RP, as long as we get enough active members to get it going.

Yeah, but isn't that how all the Potter books are, though? At least in the later ones, the possibility of death weighs heavy on everybody except maybe the twins and a select few others. I can't think of anything else, maybe I could have a little off-to-the-side RP about the twins' pranks and testing their candies and stuff to lighten the mood a little.
Otherwise, though, I agree that it does sound like a good idea, we just need the members. I wonder how we'll get a Harry? It doesn't seem to me like anyone would want to be him... That's just me, though.

I had an online friend that played a great Harry back when my RPG forum was active. I'll give him a poke, but he's been pretty busy the last couple years, so I'm not sure if he would be willing to do it again.
