 Pink paws hit the grass lightly as the small hybrid danced across the dark savanna. Night had once again fallen, and it was time for the cub to make her debut. She hummed a soft tune as she leaped and twirled in the air. Hilali had her redish orange eyes closed as she pretended to dance with a lost love.
The little tomboy would never admit to her secret yearnings, at least not to anyone. Her mother had known about it. Though it wasn't hard to guess with her continuous pestering about their father. Most of her siblings looked nothing like their mother, only her and her eldest sister. She always wondered what her father was like. She would ask herself what she would say to him, but was stopped by the fact that she didn't know what he looked like.
The hybrids dance stopped when thoughts of her father came flooding through her mind and she started to stare up into the starlit sky.

Udo'Tau dragged his feet slightly. He was tired, having not slept well these last few days. He got away from his family, had no intents on going back. He really didn't know why, he was... just not quite happy about being diffrent, it made him not want anything to do with his family.
He was diffrent because of his parents, they were diffreny types of animals. That made him a 'freak' to some other lions. He did not want anything to do with that.
He huffed and lapped up some cold water, the night was quite a releif at this time. No one was really around and it was cool out. He had no problem out on his own except for the heat.

Hilali closed her eyes as a soft breeze danced through her fur. She opeaned them, and ran over to her brother next to the small lake. She sat down near the bank, "How are you feeling?" She knew of her brother's insomnia, and sometimes it was nice. She preferred traveling at night, but she knew that it wasn't good for her brother's health.

Udo'Tau smiled as his only loved family member came up by his side. "Oh hello Hiali." With that he let out just a very small yawn. He looked at the water for a moment and smiled. "I'm quite alright, a little tired but I'm fine." He grinned and stretched out a bit.

She gave him a small smile when he yawned. "That's good, you need your sleep." True they didn't look alike, but that didn't stop them from being related.
The only thing that they both shared, was the crescent moon marking on their forehead. Hihali loved that mark. It was the only thing in her coat she appreciated. She scowled when she looked at her reflection in the water and rubbed herself in the dirt on the bank, trying to hide the pink that marked her as her mothers.

"Sleeping is to hard." The little cub muttereded as he started to sit up, he did not laying down it made him even more tired and he could not have that. He watched his sister with interest. "Are you okay. I keep you up all night." His sister was the only he loved, he wanted to always make sure she was ok. After watching her roll around in the dirt for a bit she could'nt help but to arch a brow. "What are you doing Hali?" He flicked his tail and lapped up some more water before turning his face back to his sister.

She looked back to him as she lie on her back. "Don't worry about me. I like sleeping during the day. The sun feels good on my back, and it's too cold at night to sleep comfortably."
She stopped rolling and sat up, her back covered in dust. "You know I don't like my fur. It's too bright." She said as she made a face.

Udo laughed. "Hali, umm orange is brighter than pink." He rolled over so he was next to her body and pulled at her ear. "I think you look nice Hali, you know you shouldn't do that."
He sighed a bit and sat up again and licked his lips letting out a nice grin and walking back over to the water lapping up more water then splashing his sister, grinning...

She reached around and nipped at his ear in return. "Udo, your my brother, your supposed to say that." She laughed a little as she pounced him as he walked back towards the watering hole.
When she was splashed, her fur ching from her body in clumps. "Hey! Not fair!" She said as she crouched down and pounced on him again, sending them both into the water.

Udo laughed as he was thrown into the water, pinned down by his sister. He let out a playfull growl and right away went for her ear again he laughed and pushed up with his feet trying his hardest to get her off with out hurting her.
"Gah your heavy~" He growled a bit.

Hihali let out a scoff. "Heavy?! I'll show you heavy!" She said with a smile and shoved him into the mud so his head was the only part of his body that was above the water. "That heavy for ya?" she asked as she growled lightly, followed by a laughter as she hopped off of him and started to play in the water.

"Hey!" He huffed as she got off of him. He started to worm out of the water playfully growling. He pulled himself out of the mud and snarled playfully and swiped his paw at her splashing her again with water and sticking out his tounge. "You were heavier that that mud for sure." He teased flicking his tail behind him.

She laughed more than she growled and held her paw up to shield herself from the water. "Hey not fair!" She said and bounced through the water, getting herself all wet. "I'm not that fat." She said as she bounded over to him and nipped on her ear.

Udo stuck his tounge out and laughed. "I didn't say you were fat!" He laughed and ducked under and then back up. "I just said you were heavy." He laughed and nipped a back at his sister. He looked up. "Y'know we should find some where to spend the night, the sun should be rising soon." He said as he gnawed on her with a smile on his face.

She followed his gaze up to the sky, and noticed the sky started to become lighter, and a soft shade of pink began to show in the horizon. A yawn escaped her lips as she shook her head to fight back her fatigue. "I guess your right." She said as she climbed out of the water and shook herself off, her ears still dripping.
