Winter was coming to an end, and spring was on it's way, though neither was truly gone or here. The weather was cold and the wind blew harshly, but the sun shined brightly, spilling warmth over all that stood in it's glow. Harlequin happened to be wandering farther and farther from her shared home as the days grew longer.
She was in unfamiliar territory now, and as she wandered she paused to take a deep breath of the sweet cool winter air and bask in springs warming light.

Niele watched around as the snow quietly went away.The grass was comming back.Green grass to eat again.She looked at her moving stomac and walked around slowly.

In her pause, Harlequin noticed a figure moving not too far away. Meeting no one so far that day she took it upon herself as a goal to make friends with whatever this moving figure was. With a broad smile Harlequin set off. It was not long before she reached the figure, a lovely pink mare. "Hello! Lovely weather, isn't it?" Quin called out in her attempt to establish small-talk.

Niele looked over at the brown young mare comming towards her."Oh hello.Yes lovely weather."She smiled and Looked at her plump stomac."I'm Niele.Who might you be?"

"My name is Harlequin. It's a pleasure to meet you Niele." Quin replied as she noticed the mare looking at her belly. Was something wrong with it? Harlequin looked at it for a moment, then at her own belly to see if there were any differences other than color. It did look plumper than her own, but Quin didn't want to be rude about it or make the mare feel fat. "Um..." Harlequin murmured. "Is something wrong with your belly?" Quin deemed that to be a reasonable question since the mare may only have a stomach ache.

Niele smiled."Harlequin.Beautiful name.Nice to meet you too."Niele bobed her head and ate some more great.She was happy with her plumped belly.She looked at Quin."Nothing is wrong.Just little foals inside.Like your mother with you."She giggled some.Quin would just imange how foals could fit in a mares belly.They were so big."In other words.I'm pregnate."

How on earth did she get babies in her belly? It was yet another question she would have to ponder. "But I thought that foals were from baskets, not bellies." She took another good look at Niele's swollen stomach before the childish nature of Quin began to show. "Are they going to suffocate in there? How do they eat?" She paused. "How do they get out?"
Quin figured most adult mares knew these answers and blushed, embarrassed by her own ignorance.

"Oh Quin.Don't be blushin because of this.Its your wondering."Niele smiled some.She listened to her questions."They are in the bellies at first then Baskets."Niele Nodded."Nope.I eat.And then they get it."Niele giggled."Well.My behind."Niele laughed at herself.

Quin couldnt help but blush more. "So, when you eat, the food goes to your belly, then they, in your belly, eat what's around them?" Harlequin decided it was best not to ask questions about where the foals would be coming out anymore.
"But... How do you get food then?" Quin paused for another moment and frowned. "You must be very hungry."

"Well then," Harlequin replied cheerfully, relieved that she hadn't given herself any reasons to feel embarrassed. "We'll just have to find you some food then!" Quin turned to gaze out over the terrain around them, trying to discern the best spot to search in first. "What sort of things are you craving?

Niele smiled at the young mare.Helping her get food.Different?"Well Quin.Whoes your Father?"She asked.This mare looked like Duncan."Apples,Grass,Mostly anything avrage."

Yet another mare mentioning the knowing of a stallion of Duncan. This worried her, but it gave her more reason to believe there was indeed more than one Stallion named so.
"Uh... I have to go..." Harlequin stammered as she took a few steps back. "I guess I'll talk to you later. It was nice to meet you."
