Niele layed on the ground in the shade.She looked at her watermellon rounded tummy.Niele wondered where this would end up.What would Zillah and Azhar say?She got up and walked slowly to the river.She took a low drink.Niele then looked around for any danger.Maybe she would change a bit from having children soon.Kids?First time and she was nervous as it is.Happily she drank some more water.Niele smiled some as she nuzzled her moving stomac.

Lunathiel made her way from her home to the river a rather odd looking sack dangling from her mouth. For the first time since he had arrived Dark had forgotten to fill the water sack before leaving in the morning. It had always been his job to collect the food and water for the teepee because she watched after their two-legger and Scarlet was practically helpless. She was rather annoyed with the winged stallion right now but that feeling vanished fairly quickly when she noticed another horse standing by her destination.
"Hello there." She said, her words coming out a bit muffled because of the sewn hide sack in her teeth. She put on her best smile to quiet her nerves as she continued her approach. Strangers had always seemed just a bit stranger since she had encountered a skin walker almost a year ago. This horse didn't seem threatening though, from what she could tell the bright purple coat belonged to a mare and from the size of her belly she seemed to be pregnant. That either spelled trouble or that the mare was vulnerable and could probably use some company. She hoped it was the second.

Nielel looked over to the other mare and smiled some.She was looking odly maybe at her?She smiled some more."Hello.How are you?"Niele drank some more of the cool water.Niele looked at her."I'm Niele.And who might you be?She turned towards her and Looked back at her stomac."Would you like to stay around and join me for a little walk?"

She seemed nice enough but it was possible that it was a trap. Still she walked to the other mare's side and set the container down by the river before bowing her head to get a drink. "I'm Lunathiel." She said raising her head to get a better look at the purple mare. She was certainly something to look at. Bright purple with little stripes like lightning running all over and with her swollen belly she didn't seem to be a threat at all but the offer to take a walk still put the older mare on edge.
"I'd actually prefer to stay here." She said with a small smile giving no hints at all to why she didn't wish to go anywhere. "I have work to do you see but I'd be more then happy to stick around and keep you company for a bit. We can chat."

She smiled more and nodded."Nice to meet you Lunathiel.Alright."Niele lay by the river and watched the mare.She looked at the rushing river."Work.Is fine.I need to rest a bit anyways."She smiled and said softly."Who is all is your herd?"

Lunathiel smiled back and nodded at the mare before working the seal out of the sacks opening. It was probably a good thing for Niele to rest. Carrying foals took a lot of work and energy. "Well lets see." She stared with a fond smile laying down beside the younger mare. Her work could wait a little bit, no one but Scarlet was home and she seemed to rarely drink. "There's myself and my children Amoena and Ayden but they're rarely home. Then there is Xantir but he has found a lovely mare to settle down with so he doesn't visit often. Then there's Scarlet Wing and Dark, Dark's normally long gone before sun up and recently we've had a couple of strange visitors. A little fluttercorn named Spinel Sun and a very odd young mare who won't tell me her name no matter how much I ask."
She nodded once again confirming to herself that everyone had been listed then smiled at the black maned mare. "It seems that you're about to have a couple children yourself. Are you scared?"

niele smiled at Darks name."I know Dark.I don't know anyone else.That I know of."Niele smiled and listened."A basket?Cute."She waited until she was asked a question."Am I scared?"She thought about it for a bit."To points yes.But How did you get though this?"

Lunathiel's ears perked a bit. She knew the winged thief? Somehow that didn't really surprise her, Dark had a way of getting around with mares. A sudden look of horror crossed her face. "You're not...I mean they're not...it's not Dark's fault is it?!" She asked staring a bit at the young mare's pregnant tummy. It wouldn't really surprise her if Dark had run off making some girl...or girls pregnant...but she would have at least expected him to take some responsibility. He hadn't even mentioned anything. So maybe he wasn't the dad but what if he was. The normally calm mare was getting a moor paniced look about her as her worries ran wild in her mind.

"Luna.They arn't Darks.Clam down please?"Niele looked at Luna eyeballing her stomac.Niele stood.She backed away a bit.Luna was flipping about Dark?"Luna?Why is Dark makeing you flipp?"She blinked a bit watching the mare.

They weren't Dark's? She smiled a bit nervously at first then burst out laughing. They weren't Dark's. Oh thank the Spirits. "I'm sorry." She said getting to her feet to look the purple mare in the eye. "It's just that boy gets into so much trouble he doesn't know what to do. In a way it's my job to look after him and make sure he doesn't get in over his head." Her smile became more gentle and her laughter died down and she made her way back to the sack for water. "Please, lay down again you should rest."
"Now you asked how I got through this right?" It was rather amazing how well she could remember details of things going on around even while in a panic. She supposed it came from being a mother. Those 'eyes on the back of her head' had to have come from somewhere after all. "Honestly I'm not sure. It was just like one day I said to myself, it's time to stop being a foal and become a mare. That was a few weeks after Amoena was born. Before that time I was so sure that I was doing something wrong even though I wasn't." She gave a small giggle realizing that she had just been staring off into the water instead of looking at Niele as she should have. "Just trust your body and your instincts. They know exactly what you need to be doing. It's a mare's gift."

Niele watched the mare."Its fine..."She was a little confused."I see.He trying flurting with me.Well kinda like."She giggled a bit and nodded."I will lay here in a second.Niele took a quick drink and layed down."Would I drown the babies if I lay in the water?"She looked up at Luna.Wondering getting to best of her again.Niele nodded at everything Luna said."So mostly tell yourself you can get though this right?"niele smiled some.She nuzzled her big stomac.

That did not surprise the older mare in the least. What could be said? Dark loved the mares, the attractive ones more then anything, and Niele was a lovely girl. She bent down to pick up the water sack and dropped it again almost immediately after when she started laughing.
"Drown?" Of all the fears she had had when she was pregnant the foals drowning was not one of them. The she had been afraid of squishing them at one point. "No no. They won't drown. They'll be perfectly safe in your tummy til they say 'I want out'." She smiled and took a few steps closer to Niele to give herself a bit more of a presence, not threatening, but enough to let the younger mare know she was serious.
"Don't just tell yourself, you really have to believe it. Cause it's true you know? As long as you don't go about picking fights with Kalona's and skinwalkers and take it a bit easier then normal you'll be fine. The only tough part is the actual birth but that never takes to long."

Niele listened to the mare.She really knew what she was talking about.Niele knew Dark was in love with mares.But He really isn't bad.Until something goes wrong then he's bad.Niele listened again."Ah.Thats good."She laughed a bit."Yeah.They are somewhat saying that now.But its all good."Niele looked at the mare.Niele shifted her hooves.Niele nodded and watched her."Yeah.I've never met a Skinwalkers.But I don't remember if I've met a Kalona."Niele smiled some."I bet.you had to go through it first."Niele giggled.

Lunathiel's eyes opened wide and a very large smile crossed her face. "Are they really?" She asked unable to hide the excitement from her voice. "Well, that means that probably in a few days you're going to give birth." Her smile faltered a little bit when she realized that announcing the birth would be soon didn't always go over well with new mothers. Most mares knew that birth was a rather painful process so they both dreaded and eagerly awaited that day.
She didn't really know what to tell the younger mare from here. Most tips she had were for leading up to the birth but during the actual process she was always at a loss. All she had ever done was do what her body was telling her to do and things had always worked out and after they were born the Kawani mostly took care of things putting each foal carefully into baskets for them to grow strong.
"From here...all I can really tell you is that you should probably stay very close to your home until the foals are born." She said feeling a bit like a failure at the moment. It had come the chance to show her worth as a mother and she had very little advice on the subject really.

Niele smiled."Yes.Maybe its about time."Niele knew that brith was a heck of alot of pain.Niele didn't mind it to much.Because in the end it would turn out to be a happy ending.Like most fairy tales would end.Niele smiled a bit more and waiting a while closeing her eyes."I believe your right.I think I should go back to the Teepee and wait until the foals are born.I wouldn't want to be all the way in the forest and be having the babies.Where Kalona's would be."Niele nodded."Thank you for spending sometime with me.Its was a great pleasure in meeting you Luna.I should be getting back to the teepee.Good bye.And I hope to see you again."Niele smiled at she walked off.A happy day that was.Finally someone who could tell her about the stuff on birth and what the mare could or couldn't do.Niele made it over the hill and to her teepee.
