1.Who's the first belly dancer that made you want to dance?
My first instructor. Dahlia. I had not seen a dancer in person until her, and she amazed me. She still does.
2.Favorette song to BD to?
Msafer from the first BDSS CD. I also love Drama Queen from the 3rd.
3. Fav. style?
Most fusion. Tribal. Egyptian Cabaret.
4. Least fav. Style?
Ballet fusion. Maybe I just haven't seen it done right?
5. Does any of your friends family know you dance?
Totally! It's a well known fact about me. I label myself a dancer alongside my two other passions in life.
6. Have they seen you?
Yes. They are extremely supportive and many of them make it to most of my performances. biggrin
7. If so what was their reaction?
Impressed. Which only makes me feel better. heart
8. Ever have someone tell you BD is slutty?
Yes. And I politely proved them wrong. They were sadly misinformed.

Oops, already answered this. But yes. ^^; I have.
10. If you could rate your dancing 1-100 what would it be?
Mmmm... I know I have a lot of improving to do. So maybe a 78 ish? I'm not terrible, but I know I still have plenty of room for improvement.
11.Anyone in your famiy dance?
Turns out my dad's mom took a class or so when she was younger. My mom's mom was a flamenco dancer when she was younger. ^_^I guess dance is in my blood.
12.Friends?
I started off with some wonderful friends... Some of lost touch with dance, but others remain... ^_^ Some I've made through dance... some I've become friends with only to later find out they were also dancers. ^_^
13.Try to get someone interested?
Yes, and successfully. ^_^ She's hooked now. 4laugh
14.Try to teach anyone?
Yeah. 3 classes of teenage girls (each class of about 40 girls) for my old high school's modern dance class. I had been invited by the teacher. They weren't too bad at it, for only having about 40 minutes to learn a small routine. I was impressed.
15.Take classes?
Of course. Through 3 different instructors.. and I keep going back to my first. She's just that amazing.
16. Had a troupe?
Creator... and later kicked out. But I'm enjoying being solo for now, so I won't try to make another.
17. Would you take tips during or after a performance?
If anyone would give them, sure! It's people's decision of what they want to do with their money, and who am I to tell them not to give it to me? xD I'm a poor college student, after all.
18. Fall while dancing?
Luckily not yet. But I've come close. In my last performance, I forgot to spot while I did half a dozen turns in a row. ^^; Ooops.
19. Had an embaressing moment while dancing?
My scarf fell off in the middle of a routine in front of a room full of dancers. D: Talk about scary.

Went with the flow and kicked the damn thing out of the way. I laughed afterwards.

Silk.

Fast. You can BS your way through it easier. (Shimmy until there's no tomorrow? Heck yeah.)

Honestly, it doesn't matter. I LOVE large audiences, but I'll say small, only because it's easier to make eye contact with each person, which I believe adds an extra something to the performance.
26. Coins, beads, or fringe?
Coins or fringe. I have TONS of coins though... They sound gorgeous when you're shimmying yourself to death... but they're a dead giveaway if you don't have perfect isolation. XD
27. Shoes or barefoot? (while dancing)
I hate being barefoot. I always dance in my split-sole jazz shoes. heart

I'm not sure who they were, but about 10 years ago I saw a troupe dancing at a Renn Faire and ever since then, I wanted to try to belly dance.

2.Favorette song to BD to?

Sometime that has a good flow.

Not quite sure yet, but I think I am leaning towards tribal.

4. Least fav. Style?

Not sure.

Most of my family knows.

I don't really know her name.

Drum beats and many of Nancy Ajram's songs.

I like most. Depends on my mood.

Yes, many people know. My parents keep begging me to give 'em a show but I've never felt like it. >.>

I've danced at various festivals (not putting up a show, just with other people for fun). And I also performed for my literature class.

7. If so what was their reaction?
They said it was neat. But I was so nervous that it didn't come out as good as when I dance in front of my mirror.

Yeah stare . And I feel like slapping them for being ignorant.

Yes, always do.

Umm... 75?

No, at least not belly dance. My dad can dance merengue pretty well, but that's about it.

Carbaret...Sorry. XD I just dont like it.

Well yes...
Actually...I've lost friends because they dont understand just how much time and work dancing takes.

One friend is very supportive and comes to shows when he can. The others havent.

He said it was cool, and enjoyed watching the show.

Yupp. I've been approched by more prevs then I can count.

Yes, although no one believes it.

Personaly? I'd say 70...but others would say around 80...85. I'm told I'm alot better then I think I am.

My bff started dancing the same day as I did. We're in the same troupe, and we've even done a duet together.

Well sure!
14.Try to teach anyone?
I step up when my teacher needs a hand...and I've run class and practices before, but I've yet to hold a class myself. I'm hoping to really soon.

Usualy every Monday...and I take extra work shops when I can.

Yupp! The Shuvani Jezebels...I'm hoping (REALLY HOPING!) I'll be invited into Wicked Gypsy someday soon. ;_;

Depends on the nature of the preformance...I like money and shiney things!!

I had my turkish vest pop open...I'm SO glad I wore that chain bra under it!!

I didnt know it had happened till I was off stage, and then I was uber freaked until I saw the video.
The bra I was wearing sometimes tends to show under-boob...and I totaly would have died if it had.

For what? For veils I prefere silk...because lace tends to have things cling to it...and the last thing you want is to get stuck to your veil. I like lace for hip scarves tho.

Depends on my mood. I think I like fast stuff for troup numbers and slow stuff for solos.
