The dust had settled on the old building and the world was a changing place. For weeks, the new owner had left the place to sit, perhaps debating to work it at all. But finally, with a sudden flourish of boats at the dock, the crews showed up. Soon, the entire hilltop was covered with the noises of construction and normal work.
Near the base of the path leading to the old inn, a fence was erected. It's sign bore the words "UNDER CONSTRUCTION". One things for sure, the old place would never be the same again.
Just outside the gate, a small tent has been hitched and there are a few personal effects strewn about the site.

*Ben yawns as he leaves his tent. It was a real shame that the building was being reworked so much that he had no normal room to sleep in. But after his recent walkthrough and looking at the dust caked on the walls, it was high time for a cleanup any how.*

He makes his way over to the newly renovated boathouse and begins taking note of all the changes have been made. What was once a rotted out building on the side of the sea was now a beautiful sea side retreat. It wasn't as lavish as the inn atop the hill but it was a good start.

After many long hours of work, the team has completed all of the work that was requested of them. Several groups of workers, some with as many as 50 people flood out of the tavern and its surrounding area, leaving it quietly sitting atop the hill.
The commotion woke the new owner from his slumber. He peered out and watched as the men made their way out of the building and on to their boats. Smiling, he put on a fresh set of clothes, swallowed some mints and headed out of his tent, climbing the path to the old building. His eyes lit up when he saw how well the restoration had completed. What was once a dreary place now looked updated and bustling.
Ben made his way up the stairs and smelled the flowers that had been planted. He then turned to see the beautiful view of the forest before making his way inside the place. He was pleasantly surprised at the way the lighting was working in the main lobby but it offset the stage well.

Ben passes through the main tavern area and then approaches the bar. He gently runs his finger across it as if to verify it was clean and then he swings behind it to make sure the stock is full. Happily, he steps back outside of the bar and takes a long hard look at the area, finding beauty in it.

Ben takes a deep breath as he leaves the bar area and heads off down the hallway to the right, this area had previously housed two special rooms for VIP visitors but he decided they were best repurposed as a library and indoor pool. He passes through the first door on the left and checks that the library is as he had intended.Seeing that all was well, he nodded. So as to protect the existing floor which he was rather fond of, Ben had made sure the designers put a protective layer over the nice floor before putting on the new hardwood. Should he want to use those rugs, he could easily remove the flooring and be fine.
He made his way down the hall one more door and checked the pool room. He took in the smell of chlorine and water and the warm sunshine as he examined the work. The pool had to be small enough to fit but large enough to be worth it. A quick glance over the pool showed that this was the case.Ben was sure that this room would be a big hit for the visitors.

Ben makes his way out of the pool room and continues down the hall. He had left the two rooms on the end of the hall in their locations and just updated them. He would use the first office at the end of the hall and then another manager or other member might take over the last office. He did a precursory glance in each room and found them to be updated as he had requested. Finding this to be as he expected, he decided to check one more area of import...the upper rooms.
He had been so impressed with the previous owner's flooring that he had left it in place and even instituted the same policy of not wearing shoes on this floor. After all, he didn't want to damage the rugs he had just recently paid to have refinished. They had more of a cushion feel rather than a paper feel as before and were much more fresh looking now. He removed his own shoes and climbed the stairs to the first floor to look around at the rooms. Opening the first door, he noticed the room looked much more modern thanks to his updates. Seeing that this room was as intended, he randomly checked the other rooms on this floor to find they matched his requested design. Happily, he made his way down stairs, pulled on his shoes and began investigating the kitchen.

Noting that the kitchen was as he expected and well stocked, he finally took a seat at the bar and began to let the facts sink in. He was the owner of this place now and if he screwed something up, his parents would hang him out to dry. He took a deep breath and pulled out his pack of Djarum clove smokes and lit one. The cruel savor helped to calm him and filled the room with a sweet smelling clove scent. Now, if only he had some customers...

After what seemed like days but was really only a matter of hours, Ben made his way out of his office and began looking around the facility. He noticed that there were no new visitors and sighed slightly before taking a seat at a table near the door.
Stupid...I knew this was a stupid idea...why the hell would anyone buy a stupid place like this with no business...how am I supposed to make ends meet? Meh.
*Ben lit a clove smoke and puffed on it while he watched the tavern.*
