Yes, it's true - the admin has spoken: Lanzer Beta should be here when we put a code freeze on all community related features and stability become our first priority. That should be around the time half way into the development of our gaming related features. Soon all Gaia members will be able to buy and customize their own houses, venture into dungeons or engage in battles as an individual or as groups big or small. Earning gold on Gaia will not be limited only to posting. As time spent on Gaia will not only earn you gold, but also earn you experience points that will affect other areas of the site. Much effort had been placed months ago on the features mentioned, and we can hardly wait until we introduce them to the community. smile Soon. Soon, we will buy houses. Soon, we will go exploring dungeons. Soon we will be fighting monsters - as groups, no less. Soon, we will earn experience points for enaging in battle. Soon.

I shudder at the mayhem the societas will cause as dungeon exploring becomes an option.
Granted, it sounds like -the- place for pissyfoxes.

TagraNar I just don't want to get attacked by a bunch of random people when the battle system is out. I'm assuming that you have to accept the battle or something. I'm pretty sure something was mentioned about turning off battles in your profile...

I don't want to keep getting into fights with weird people while I'm trying to cruise the forums. We can only pray to the Mods... I think the forums and the battles shall be seperate. Perhaps battles are limited to the dungeons only? I hope so. Right now I'm most interested in the house thing personally. As long as it doesn't turn out like the neopets houses. Those sucked....

I'm hoping that we can use the Guild Donations to purchase buildings for our guilds - can you imagine if we could actually buy a Church for the Church of Mod?? heart whee
