So.... I'm a writer, like, I want to write books. biggrin Don't insult the writers if you don't read!!!
Anyway, just wondering if anyone else loves it as much as I do and if they possibly would like to toss thoughts, ideas, quotes, randomness back and forth?

I'm not nearly as creative as I would like to be but, I dabble in story telling and poetry. I really would like to learn enough about dragons and fantasy creatures to write symbolisms.

Quotes are amazing, especially when your in a mood where a certain emotion peaks.... those are always the best. Poetry is soo cool! I just fail at it really bad I'm writing two things right now, and if i could get Ame on here.... I don't really think vocabulary matters, it's all about how you weave the words together, in the right places it always works.... mostly.

So! I'm taking a Creative Writing class at school here, the very first thing I learned, along with everyone else in the class, a donkey could write better than us, and they can't even hold a pen... So! bring what she's doing here, we're working on sentence beginnings, trying to get varity in them, so our teacher had us write something, a poem, story, something, and it had to go from A-Z or Z-A I choose to go A-Z I'm encouraging you guys to try this!! It's a little complicated soemtimes, but very fun, just though I'd share what I wrote. A World We Live In A newborn child. Born into a world of hate, violence, and death. Cuddling her baby safely in her arms, the mother dreams of her child’s future. Doubt never crosses her mind that things won’t be perfect; they can’t be. Eventually going home, the process of growing up begins. Future doorways open for the child, each one scarier than the last, the parents completely unaware. Growing into teenage years. Hanging out and meeting new people. Isolated no longer, from the world’s increasing pain. Jokes bring laughs, few and far between. Kicks and cliques leave others out and alone. Lies bring the unforgotten pain back again and again. Money for bribes. No known mercy. Ominous thoughts will lead to destruction. Patiently waiting for a chance to retreat. Quiet serenity brings unstoppable tears. Running down time-worn faces. Silent sobs echo across a star-streaked sky. Time never ending. Unforgiving pasts haunt the tortured souls. Victory drawing further away. While the mother watches the coming doom. X’s and O’s line notes and letters from one friend to another. Yearning for something new when all they think they see is endless dark. Zombies following a too-traveled road. END I've been told it gets a little confusing but.. feedback!! I really encourage you to try this, its fun, creative, and something to do when your bored.

Like it's been said, writers are readers, yes, they go together, something half my english class would be shocked to hear. Books can lead to inspiration too. I have three really great books I recommend to you right now. 1) In the Garage (very short, very emotional, very good) 2) Dreamrider (this one is a shocker) 3) Heir Apparent (humor at it's best)

Kira, i like your poem! so true! fits nicely with the little twiced your teacher gave you, It wasnt too confusing ( it brealy was confuisng at all) i understood the concept of it. You have a lot of potenial of being a succesfull writer! Make sure you soak up all the information your teacher gives you. They odnt offer a creative writting class at my school. so when i get to college i will most definatly take one. =D
I will try one of the books your suggest. I do belive that readers are writers. I started to think about what would happene at the end of a story ( i start to make an alternative ending to books [ahahaha])
I would suggest a couple books.
1. grapes of wrath ( its lenghty but if its read at a steady pace, its totaly understand able.) [ i believe i have suggestted it before in another thread]
2. Wishes Kisses and Pigs ( its about a girl, that livs on a farm with her mother) who wishes upon a star. Her wish was that her brother should turn in to a pig. and then very next day after that her brother goes missing) its a really easy read, but very good!
3.Our Mother May ameila ( it about a girl who lives in the pioneer ages,( ilebveie its been so long since i have read it) and she doesn;t like what he women have to do, she likes to do what the guys do. (go out shoot, fish, work etc) her g-ma lives with her and shes a mean B****, her dad is very strick, and her mother is very pregnant. She has all brothers. this for me was an easy read i read it like in the 6th grade. so it should be easy =)
I love to read! During the summer i read like 5 books minium a month. I read constanly. BUt when school starts i slow down becuase i have tons of home work. =) For a reader i dont have a very big vocabulary. Its big, but not at the level i which to pursue it. ahahahahahah =D

Haha, I get on here and am all "WRITERS? YOU MEAN THERE ARE OTHER WRITERS IN THIS GUILD-- ....Haha, Oh, Kira started it. Of course." And than laughed to myself for a while.
I'm writing a story called Red Now. But I'm the kind of annoying twit who erases her entire story before she gets anymore. biggrin ' Uhm, yeah.
And AuntieSocial 8B- I read a ton of books too. My favorite Series is the Gemma Doyle trilogy.

My favorite Series is the Gemma Doyle trilogy. I threw away an awful lot of poetry and story starters that I used to have and now I so regret that action. It seemed like junk at the time but, now as I'm starting to write again I wished I had my original stuff from 20 years ago.

-eyes bulge- PEOPLE??? THERE ARE PEOPLE HERE??? (yes, as I haven't been here either.. long story, no time)
@Auntie Social: Thanks so much!! I've done a LOT of editing on that poem, and... I'm turning in what I hope is the last copy of it tomorow. I hope. If I get it done.... Anyway, yes! Creative Writing classes are fun, I definitly recommend you take one. I'll recommend more books as I read them.
@Pippa Doyle: XDD, Yes, it's amazing isn't it??!? xD;; And great on at least starting something! I adore writing but can never start. I have a friend how is a lot like you, she starts something and then deletes it adn starts over again and again. Try and stick with it ;D Edit when your done, but dont keep killing it!
@Madralyn: Aww.... That is too bad considering. But if your writing agian, that's wonderful!

To any Twilight Fans, I've been told by my friend that they are making a movie. If you read this series. Then, you probably already know, just thought I'd put that out there for you.

I really encourage you to try this, its fun, creative, and something to do when your bored. I think you've nailed it! Anyone who has been a teen or who is a teen will at one time or another feel like this, unfortunately. There's such a message I hold from within, I know I'm a 37-year-old, but I walked this path too and the imprint it made has never left me. It only pushes me more towards others who feel the same. If only to comfort those lost souls who seek out a tomorrow that’s free of that which binds them to their sorrows. I send this message of hope not despair, for you are destined for more then a life of unrepair. I know it's all you can do to get through these years ending most days in bed lost in your tears. Child, I know you feel lost, wanting it to end wishing the pain would stop, wanting to mend. A few more years you must endure the life you lead you will be in charge of your destiny, sooner than you need. Know that what happens now does not seal your fate the wondrous thing of life is it's never to late. You can alter its course, set a new direction too reach out to someone who can guide you through. For conviction and determination can alter a youth's tomorrows; the love of another human can help heal all their sorrows.

I too, was shocked and happy to see that there are other writers in this guild ... I write poetry and some short stories ... I'm not a good artist, but I fancy myself a pretty skilled amatuer writer ... although I have had alot of training (my real mom is an english teacher ...) ... I also love to read ... I particularily enjoy the Dragonlance series ... biggrin
A sample of my writing: Words they... Are falling... Around her... In circles... She crying... Despair... The worst part has come. She's losing herself again, she's falling apart... her world is in peices, next to her shattered heart... the glass wall has broken, her emotions run free... and she's never coming back...
But I'm still working on it... suggestions? biggrin

I fell in love with the Twilight Series, and it got me interested in writing, but i can't always find the right words so it sounds plain.
So i'm sticking to my poetry for a while ^^
