Gabriela was really trying to motivate herself to get up and go for a walk. She didn't know what had been wrong with her. She had been feeling rather out of sorts lately. Then, she decided. She knew what she should do. She would take a little detour that day. She wanted to go visit her two-legged person who she lived with before she followed Mythril home. She hadn't been home in a while. As she pushed herself and trotted onwards towards her homelands, she felt an inner conflict. On one hand, she felt enormously happy and at ease. On the other hand, she was full of awkward, nauteated feelings. She kept feeling tired. She couldn't ever decide if she wanted to eat oats, apples, or grass. Sometimes even river water made her stomach feel ick. She was thinking maybe she was homesick.
She had been trotting almost nonstop for over an hour. She knew she didn't have too much further to go. She just had to go about halfway through a valley a nd across the stream, and she would be there. She did have to stop for some water. She felt so parched. Then, as she bent her head down to drink, she felt it. The first movement of life stirring in her abdomen. She wondered if it was just a muscle twitching. Surely her two-legger would know how to help her. She decided to try and make double time. She then picked up speed and tried to run as fast as she could. Normally speaking, she was a fast runner. However, what was taking shape inside of her was starting to weigh on her body, and it drained a lot of her energy.
Then, as she found herself halfway through the valley, ever near her home. The clouds started crowding above. Then, the clouds let their rain out. Gabriela decided she would just have to run the rest of the way. Walking, it was about an hour. If she booked it all the rest of the way, she could make it there in little more than thirty minutes. She started running with all her might.
Finally, she arrived some fourty minutes later, dripping wet at her two legged's home. She saw her come out. Taipa took Gabriela inside her tent. Inside, she was covered in warm blankets and given a bowl of fresh oats and apples. Gabriela looked around. How wonderful it felt to be surrounded by the comforts of a person who took her in after she got out of that stupid traveling circus of sorts. Taipa kept looking her over and working the rain out of Gab's hair. She then looked over her body, brushing her down all nice. Taipa had hugged her many times being so happy to see her around. Taipa looked at Gabriela. "Oh my dear. It looks like you've been blessed to have a family. How wonderful. I wonder how long you are along. Maybe we can go see a friend of mine who is a shaman. He specializes in animal medicines. I know a little; how to treat scrapes and scars. But... this is something beyond me. Then again, I bet the soquili have been breeding for ages before my people lived in these parts. I'm sure you'll do fine. I must say. It is most becoming of you dear. You are looking rather pretty." They sat together late into the night. Taipa doting all over a Gabriela who was now with child. How many children, and how long she had to go.. Those were questions they would find out answers to tomorrow. For now, they would rest. Taipa dragged her bed over next to Gabriela to stay close to her for the night.

Mythril stretched as the sun was peeking in under his heavy eyes that now took in the vibrant light. How long had he slept since he told the family he now loved Gabriela. Such odd behavior from his family's reactions between one another. He knew his parents would be ecstatic as he was about Gabriela but his siblings seemed a bit taken by surprise that the regular soquili of the horned ones was taken into a mate ship with such a gorgeous girl that made his heart flutter.
Where was she? He looked around sniffing the air curious as his eyes opened further. Lately she had not been feeling well at times, but he thought it to be the nervousness from meeting the family. Maybe it was something else he wondered to himself. Looking around for signs of life he realized everyone was still asleep making up his mind to follow after since her scent of spring tulips were still lingering.
Tossing his head he reared high in the air and leapt off after her with his racing heart and mind. If she was in pain or danger he wanted to be with her no matter what boundaries lied ahead. That's what a mate did for his beloved, he was there for her. So he kept his senses open and followed the fragrance that was calling to the capricious son of Glory and Kahaina.
He followed for what seemed hours on end till his nose brought him back to that familiar place where Gabriela insisted he share her snack with him. It seemed quite odd at the time, but now he understood just how precious his sweetheart truly was. No wonder Glory had praised him for finding such a lovely girl.
Trotting into the clearing nearest the teepee he scooted to a halt calling outward, "Gabriela? Are you here love?" he questioned sure she was there somewhere. Waiting with a bit of worry he blew outward slowly and regained his thoughts before releasing yet another whinny once more.

She had been lying on the ground, sleeping on her knees as standing made her feel even more tired. Even though most horses could sleep easy enough standing up, the gravity of those babies inside her made it not very efficient. And, being in the teepee made her wanna sleep close to the ground.
When she heard Mythril's voice, she lifted up her head, lifting an ear to the side. "Mythy.... " She then tried to silently get up without waking her human. She then pushed herself up with a little heave ho. She popped her head out the teepee. There he was! She then trotted out. All the way there, the drive she felt to return home. She had in that time not given proper thought to have let him know she'd be away.
She remembered her trip with Shaylee, and he didn't seem so concerned then. Maybe something in him knew even if he didn't consciously know yet. She walked up and nuzzled his neck. "Mythy... you came for me. I wasn't even gone a day yet." She looked up at him with adoring eyes. "Sorry if I scared you. I just wanted to come visit Taipa. Something in me made me wanna be near her for a little while. She's taking me to visit a shaman tomorrow. It was almost like she knew when I got here. I didn't even have to say or do much. I wonder if she has taken that path as a human."

Mythril's eyes glistened as she called to him in the darkness. She was alright which made him breathe a bit easier knowing this. Nuzzling her he glanced her over noticing the swelled belly which made his face blush. So this is why she'd been so distant lately, a longing to return home to where she could have their children with ease and not worry him. Still Mythy was perplexed she had just up and left, but he'd never be cross with her.
"Are you alright Gabi?" he whickered rubbing her neck, "I'm sorry if I cam without you knowing, I just well was worried that you disappeared. Yawning he stomped a hoof, the indigo stallion could use some much needed sleep right now.
Looking around this warm place he felt very relived that she was safe and sound, "Gabri may I stay here with you tonight if your owner wouldn't mind. I don't take up too much room. I'm a bit tired from traveling all this way." Nuzzling her he glanced at her belly once more thinking this is why his mother had acted the way she did when Gabriela was introduced.
"Well even I didn't know that you were... " he blushed again being quite the young father, but then he was proud that she was carrying his children as his father was of Glory when she was found to be in foal as well.
"I love you Gabriela. Come lets get some rest."

She had waited patiently, swishing her tail from side to side. She smiled as she felt him upon her neck and so close to her. His smell was all in her nostrils. It made her feel relaxed, and it made the little legs inside her belly stir. She smiled even more, feeling radiant in the moonlight.
"I am sorry I just left without telling you. I just suddenly felt hte need to do it. I just went with the feeling without hesitating. I also didn't realize this was the reason myself. I realized when I grew hungrier and started feeling the movement inside. But, the time is very close. Taipa is taking me to a shaman in the morning."
Then she nodded at his note for sleep. She led him inside the tent, and she laid down more towards the middle of teepee, where the fire was.. giving him plenty of room to lay behind her. It wasn't until then that she had realized that since leaving his homeland; she had missed the feeling of his chin resting on her back in the night. As she drifted asleep, she whispered, "I love you too Mythy... You're such a dear."
------------------------------------------------------------
Then, many many more hours into the morning, Taipa was awake and outside of the teepee. She was making sure she was tying down things and making preparations for their small journey. The shaman she was taking them to wasn't too far, but he was still a few hours away. She anticipated after birth; Gabriela might not be ready to travel back home. She packed some satchels, and she prepared breakfast for all three of them. She smiled to herself. Taipa could see that Gabriela's mate must have been very fond of her to come find her in the middle of the night. What a special family this would be.

The sun had tickled his nose as the light filtered in from Taipa opening the teepee flap to a gorgeous morning. His head still rested lightly over her neck as a protective stallion did with their mate. Perhaps it was Kahaina's encouraging words and his mother's advice that had gifted him such a lovely lady in his life. Leaning inward he nibbled her gently seeing if she would rise, if not he wouldn't mind resting a bit longer. All through the night he felt them stir and move beneath his throat within her belly making him feel extremely giddy yet curious to their arrival.
Pulling his head back he noted she was stirring as well as a warm smell of something that made his palate on his tongue salivate. Joking to himself he could get used to this "two-legger" treatment.
Turning his interest back to the beautiful fluttercorn he smiled, "Morning beautiful. Tell me how did you sleep with all that commotion going on in there?" he asked with a silly grin as he nudged her shoulder delicately.

Gabriela stirred and as she lifted her head. She smiled and blushed to have Mythril doting over her so much. "Oh, I guess I got a little used to it. It's really just their feet that cause any discomfort anyhow. They seem to exist in harmony together. Hopefully that's a good sign."
Then, she pushed herself up with her front legs. She walked out of the tent, and she walked to where breakfast was. She started to consume everything. She felt like she hadn't eaten for months. As she swallowed foot, she could feel them all in a stir inside her. If you were close enough, you could see the imprint of a leg or a nose along the sides of her stomach wall.
Then, she felt something. It was a tad uncomfortable. Then, there was more pinching. It made her give a higher pitched "neeiigh". She started to turn around in a circle to look for Taipa. "Mythy... I think... It's almost time. Where's Taipa? She said we'd go see a medicine man today. I think we should leave as soon as possible.." The commotion inside was definitely starting to get ramped up, and it wasn't pleasant feeling at all.
