Sweeney Tom
Hi, sorry to bother you but your avi is awesome!
I wish i was clever enough to come up with something like that but i have entered the avitar arena and it would be really helpful if you voted for me. I could really use the gold
vote?

Link has been removed. Okay, when you hover over the link, it's obvious that it's a fake. "Gaia Unline."

Looks like the hackers and scammers are getting smarter for the most part, though. His avatar looked like a normal avatar and his username didn't seem suspicious at all. One of the obvious flaws was not hiding the real URL through TinyURL. He's been reported, of course.

A lot of them have though. This just happened to be one dumbass that didn't know how. I've started the practice of hovering over the links before even considering clicking on them.

I think everyone greatly dislikes them. They make people's online lives a living hell.

It's funny, if you Google "Gaia Unline" it's obvious that it's just some page created by someone. There's no preview text or anything under the link. I also looked him up in the Arena search and no entry popped up.

It sends you to a fake page that looks like a gaia log-in page.
