Anyone else see shadow people? I've been seeing 'em for years. They never really bother me, just startle the hell out of me. They're usually just at the corner of my vision, but I've seen a few head on, as well. At one point, i was even seeing a black dog as well.
Why do you think they wear hats sometimes?

iv been sing them since i was 4 im now 19. iv not seen the, so much in the past few years but when i was younger i would always see them. usualy the would chace me up and down the stairs in my house and a dog one would apear next to the front door and bite at me. none o0f them ever cought me but they would chase me alot

I don't see Shadow People so much as Shadow Bird (bloody big things too) and Shadow Dogs and Cats. At least that's what they look like.
Being a country English girl I freak out a little when I see the dogs as local legend says they mean death is near by.

Dazzler I don't see Shadow People so much as Shadow Bird (bloody big things too) and Shadow Dogs and Cats. At least that's what they look like. Being a country English girl I freak out a little when I see the dogs as local legend says they mean death is near by. Yeah, that's how I was when I first started seeing the dog. I have a lot of Irish ancestry, so I was pretty freaked out myself. But, nothing bad ever happened when the dog was around, so we got along I guess. Looking back, I doe realize that I saw a lot of shadow folk when I was young, that I had dismissed initially. But now Iknow what they are and well, it's kind of interesting to me. Lily Luna-you mentioned them becoming their true forms. What did you mean? Do they change?

Megz, some people believe that shadow biengs, are simply a larvae form of another supernatural being, I'm of a different mindset, I believe them to be thier own, being, and thier death, however frequent it may be, is simply like any other death.

A friend from class brought up some interesting information related to quantum physics that gives a small explanation for the things. The idea of alternate realities that sometimes cross. He told me of an experiment involving light particles and 2 slits in a screen, and how the light was passed through a slit one particle at a time, and on the other side it appeared that something were canceling the light out. Mind you, these particle were as small as you could get with light, down to molecular levels, and something unseen was canceling out the light.
Perhaps these realities cross, and perhaps when they do other beings can travel freely between realities. Perhaps our limited brains cannot perceive what these beings really are, and simply see them as shadows?

I've heard several theories (not many hold a lot of water, mind you), but one in particular I read believed that Shadow People are people from another dimension. That their appearance blinks in and out, just as the physics prose above suggests. However, a lot more common explanation is that they are some kind of manifesting spirit. No one really knows for sure exactly what they are, what their made of, but they are really a sight to see. Ever since my move to campus, I see shadow people less and less. However, it is quite a thing to see one walking down the hallway of my dormitory.

Im not sure if it's shadow people I see or not, But sometimes I see things like that in the corner of my eye. Once I had left my door open and I was walking past it to my brother's room, and I thought I saw a naked young girl lying face down on my bed, but then of course I turned my head and she was gone.

I've really begun to believe that what shadow people mean is different from country to area to even religon. Because everything I've been taught with my main heritig{sorry spelling is horrible this earyly in the morning}(my main three country area "race" is German,English,and Irish) and everything I've always learned is that Shadow People aren't good that you don't want them around.Also we need to take into acount that I am wicaan and even with that most of the people who I hang around with that are wiccan do everything and anything possible to avoid them. I've always been taught that they were very very very like bottom of the food chain demons. That they we evil and very very very bad. Bringing death misfortune, and all that kinda stuff with them.
I've been seeing them more and more in my area for the past four or five years it went from one to five to twenty...etc. I've always done my best to avoid them and let them be and keep them off and out of my home. I've been through alot I've seen alot and they scare the piss out of me. I mean I've been through demons, hauntings, child ghosts that mess with my stuff, a ghost that possested one of my dolls, I've purpously also gone out of my way to find more in my area I want to know about them and learn more. Though yes a few times I have gotten myself in far to deep and needed some help.
But I've also heard some say they are harmless that they just don't have enough energy to appear in any other form, that they are still finding what they will look like, I'm really thinking that it just depends on your culture...but who knows any of us could have the right idea about them.

I used to see shadow men in an old house of mine D=...
I was about... eight maybe?
I remember on the night before easter, I opened my door and looked down the hall because I wanted to see the easter bunny (lol), and at the end of my hall, in the family room, there was a form hunched over the fireplace, and I distinctly remember it standing up to a height that was much taller than my father. It chilled me to the bone and I went right back to bed without a word, and I didn't tell my mom about it until almost a year ago.
D= then she admitted that she used to see things in that house too.
Like the time my dad saw a shadow walk down the hall, so he took his old shotgun (he's a collector of guns and knives and things) and went to see who it was, only to find that there was nothing there and all the doors and windows were still locked and closed.
Oh my, so many stories in that house, I should write a novel about it D=.

I see shadow people almost everyday in my hallway. My family and i feel that one is a family member while the other is attached to an old dresser we have (it's from the early 1900s). Though i have never been touched by any of the spirits in my house, my sisters boyfriend has been slapped in her old room (we now use it for storage because the activity was too much for them)

I don't know if these are shadow people, but a few times over the past few years, I've see what looked like people for a second then vanish. One time in the morning when I was eatting breaskfast, I happened to look in the living room, and see what looked like a person walking through the living room in my direction eek then vanish I don't think I ever told anybody about it. There have been a few other instances like this, but the first one is the only one I can say for sure wasn't a trick of light.
Also I don't know if this one really counts as a shadow person sighting, but one time when I was at a friend's house. I was in the living room, and my friend and his girlfriend were in the kitchen looking for something to snack on. So anyway I started for the kitchen when suddenly as I was passing the hallway that leads to the bedrooms, I see a person's shadow on the floor which was coming from my friend's bed room. I stood still for a moment and watched it for a few seconds then it started to walk out of site. Knowing that we were the only people in the house at the time, I went to check, and see if anyone was in there, when I looked in the room I saw no one inside. My friend then walks up, and asks what I was doing so I told him what I saw, then he gets a surprised look on his face and says (not sure if this was a joke) that the house is kind of haunted. His girlfriend if I remember correctly kind of believes in ghosts and says she believes she has seen some.

It does sound like you're seeing shadow people Twilight. It could also be your own ability to see spirits start to grow stronger. Someone say that start off seeing shadows and then full figures.
