The nights had been suprisingly kind towards the lioness recently...which was less to say about the prey around this place. Laana lay with a fresh kill in the shade of a large acacia tree, it's bare branches casting shadows on the from the crisp white light of swollen moon and the female smirked at the sight of them. They looked as though some poor soul had tried to claw their way out of the ground.
As she thought the scenario in her head, she couldn't help but play with her kill, a young gazelle who she'd winged and left a grizzly looking wound in it's side before ripping out it's throat...she never got tired of that, infact she was proud of her killing ability. Her pitch black claws teased the cold flesh as she looked over the dried blood that had painted the ground crimson. What a wonderful colour. A colour of so many meanings, rage, death, blood, lust, love...and chaos.
That was a point, what of chaos?
Her mind quickly shifted once more as she thought of this and turned her head to the sky, thinking of her crimson pelted God and what he was doing at this moment. Hmmph, She thought to herself, muzzle pulling into a smirk. The way I think of him, you'd think I loved him. However she quickly shook that from her mind and tucked into her kill hungrily.

Dath'charukai had flown through the sky for a time, tired of seeing nothing but...well, nothing. His days were filled with boredom, as he was skirting away from most mortals. The temptation to completely ruin their lives was too great, and he had instead been filling his mind with other things. One being a certain lioness, but he would never admit it. He always thought of himself better than that, better than thinking about a female all the time.
His nose caught the scent of blood, one that lingered in the air. More than just someone hurridly eating a meal, but one playing with it.
He cut his wings close to the body, quickly landing on the ground with a strong force. His black fire-dipped paws crushed the grasses beneath them as he took steps towards where the scent was coming from. Only when he got very close was when he noticed the scent of the one who had played with their kill.

Laana was content in her feasting and thinking, she had endless time to think at the moment till her thoughts were interrupted by the ground vibrating...it didn't normally do that...then again neither did large creatures seem to fall from the sky and she sounded her displeasure with a suprised snarl. She immediatly stopped herself however as a familiar scent caught her nostrils and stared at the dark sillohette for a moment before bowing her head in respect to him. Speak of the devil much? It seemed he had a way of appearing whenever she was thinking of him.
"Well this certainly is a pleasent suprise." She said, dark, slightly seductive tone to her voice as the blood of her kill had coloured her muzzle a shade of red that rivaled his own. "We do have an uncanny way of bumping into each other, don't we Dath?" It wasn't as much a question to him as a statement before she returned to laying by her kill, claws teasing at the flesh in an almost cublike manner.

"Surprise? I wouldn't say that," he commented, resting right near her, kill in front of her or not. It didn't matter to him. He felt very comfortable with Laana, and though he always had a barrier up no matter what he did, he didn't have to have such a strict barrier. But that didn't mean that he ever really admitted anything deep to her.
"Good day, Laana," he said with a grin, though it was a light one. It was pleasureable to have her next to him again. Why did he always leave her side? Sure there were things that he did, but there was never actually anything that he had to do. He would just claim that so he could have some alone time.
"I see you're still doing well," he said slyly, eyeing her meal. He didn't want any, no, but it was obvius she could still hunt.

The dark lioness snickered at that before smirking at him in a respectful manner, if there were ever a way to make a smirk look respectful, Laana had found a way and wore it like a badge of honour as she lay next to him while still playfully clawing at her kill.
"And good day to you, Dath." She replied softly, ears flattening back in a relaxed manner. "Did your's treat you as fairly as mine did?"
She was curious of him, he sometimes vanished for days...moons at times and, ofcourse him being a god she could understand...but his work and what he did made her all the more curious. She would love to accompany him on a day of chaos and destruction...to see him at his best...
His last words provoked a c**k sure smile from the female.
"Ofcourse I'm doing well, just because I'm getting older dosen't mean I'm losing my skills to rend the lives of my prey in two."

Dath's lips folded into a slight snarl, but he composed himself a bit. He wasn't too pleased with getting attitude returned to him, even if it was from Laana. His tail flopped behind him, seeing the real differences in how Laana looked now. He had kind of just...stopped aging. He knew that he aged, but it was so different than her.
"Days are just what they are," he retorted, sounding bored. They usually were boring to him.
"I guess you do still need to eat," he added on with a yawn.

Hearing that snarl made the female give a small, partially amused smile as she licked her muzzle partially of blood. He hadn't changed. He'd matured, yes. But inside, he was still the cub that'd slept on her favourite rock, whom she'd awoken rather rudely and since that day...had a very odd friend. And so far, her oldest friend. Smirking at his bored expression, she chuckled and sat up before playfully nudging his shoulder with that bloodied muzzle before she dug back into her food again. Oddly contented in the company of the chaos God.
"Unfortunately so, if I stopped you'd be lacking someone to have a casual conversation with, my Lord." She added the 'Lord' bit with a playful inflection to it before she made a gesture to her kill. Incase he might've wanted some. She highly doubted it, being a god meant not having to partake of mortal sustenance...she couldn't help but envy that about him.

Normally if it was anyone else than Laana, he'd be furious that someone gooped up his fur, even if the blood would blend in well until it dried into that brown tone. But since it was her, he merely allowed it to happen without saying anything negative in return for it.
She annoyed him so.
"I have those that I chat with," he said, but it was a clear lie to the both of them. He played with most mortals, and then either left them or damaged them. Laana was one of the rare few that he conversed with more than once. Or even twice. He watched her silently as she returned to her meal.

The lie made her smile, but it was mostly to herself, not reach her muzzle as she happily took out a good chunk of the animals throat with a slight growl until the sound crack of it relinquishing to the force of her pulling had her with a succulent piece laying at her paws. Munching it quietly.
"Well, I'm proud to be a part of the lucky collective that recieve that honor." She teased gently. She'd always find a source of respect in him, but it was only around him did she ever feel like she was when she was a youngster. Mischevious. Playful. And his reactions just made the mirth bubble inside her belly. "And if I may ask, what do you chat with them about? Or is it a conversation and a dash of chaos here and there?" Arching a brow as she set her blood red eyes on him yet again as she licked her muzzle once more, seeing as it'd turned as red as him.

That sound of the crack was a satisfying one. Laana knew how to keep his attention. He snorted at her first comment, and chose not to reply to it. He'd probably walk right into something that he wasn't ready to face. He'd probably never be ready to face it.
"About myself, of course," replied the vain creature. "That's all that is important, isn't it?"
Conversation could also mean torture, but he didn't need to talk about that. It was something that was his, and he was protective over it.

Between the crunches and content munching she found herself glancing briefly up at him as he spoke and stared at him with a blank expression, a moment of silence before her muzzle split into a smile and she found herself chuckling ever so gently. She hadn't found herself amused in quite a long time and the crimson pelted deity was one of the few who brought out an earnest feeling from her from time to time, playing with one of the limbs of the kill as she chuckled before she turned her eyes back to him. The red pools twinkling with humor and an a sense of gratitude.
"I'm glad you haven't changed, Dathcharu'kai." She said, it was rare she said his full name. Often she shortened it or used 'Lord' or 'Chaos' to speak to him, but his full name had a wonderful ring to it. It rolled off the tongue. "You're still the dark, yet ever so cocky God I met by chance on a rock as a cub."
The memory would still remain with her. The sight of him poofing up like a flustered ostrich with a snake in its nest when she'd woken him up, it made the smile remain on her features longer, even as she jostled her carcasses limb by the loostened joint.
"It's a relief really, I hope the stars burn out entirely before you ever get boring."

"Hmph." He twitched his tail in mock-irritation, but it was mainly because he hated how much he depended on Laana. It was even more painful to think that she was growing old. He had hit the stage where his growth stagnated. Perhaps if he willed it he could make himself seem older, but that was undesired in one so proud.
"Boring is not in me," he agreed. "Though I admit there are times where I get bored myself..." Sometimes the same old thing, over and over, got old quickly.

That twitching tail made her smirk faintly, a tug at the corner of her muzzle as she resisted the urge to chuckle at him - even if he was the same old God she'd known to be as proud and puffed as a peacock, she had that respect for him. She always had that respect for him.
"I can imagine so, you must see many lives pass and go as yours goes on...I'd be lying if I didn't say I didn't envy you in that respect." For a brief moment, she let her firey eyes settle on him for a few, fleeting seconds till her attention was dragged back to the limb that she jostled and toyed with. No real hunger there any more, just a sadistic playfulness. "I'd also be lying if I didn't say I hadn't missed these brief encounters with you."
Oh Gods that sounded far more sentimental than she'd meant it too and silently rolled her eyes into her skull at her own words. Ears pressed flat against her head as she rolled the carcass bone slowly with a paw.

"Finished?" Eating had always seemed mechanical to him. Hunting was where the thrill was.
"I almost want to say you've lied in the past, but the past is just that. So don't like to me now, Laana. You've always missed me, haven't you?" A smug look crossed his face as he looked at the lioness, a little twinge of sadness marking that areas where he noticed her age. He may look a little bit older than he once had been, but he would always seem 'prime' to anyone who looked at him.

Nodding to herself as she rolled the skull away with a small flick of her paw before she watched him again, seeing the small twinges of sadness despite the smugness in his persona...how odd. What did he have to be upset about? He was a God...and would live for a long time after she was gone. But maybe that was it...? She'd like to think that, deep back in her head she would like to think he would miss her, if only slightly.
"Ofcourse I've always missed you." She said rather bluntly, ears swivelled forward as she focused fully on him. "I'm very fond of you, you should know that as much as you know my loyalty towards you, Dath."
