Have experience with one?
Here, we can talk about the pretty little rocks, and what we use them for, and whether or not they're any use, or if they just hang there and look pretty.
...I lost mine, so I'm just kinda mad at mine, at the moment. It disappeared!

Stinks that you lost yours. I have tons of beads and rocks and stuff, so I have like five. I don't use them very often, though. I think they work, even if it is just our subconscious (sp?) moving the string with slight vibrations of our hand that we don't even notice....who knows....

I have two stone pendulums. One amethyst and one jade.I'm also planning on making a few more, I've got some smoky quartz shards that I think would make good pendulums.
My first pendulum, which I still have, is just some chinese coin strung up onto a ribbon. Simple, yet effective! ^_^

Do they need to be cleansed? I'm pendulum dumb! gonk

DreamerSpirit A pendulm is basically just a weight(such as a bead, coin with a hole, etc.) on a string, ribbon, chain, or basically just somthing that will swing around. What I find works best for me is a crystal bead attached to a strand of my hair. Basically you hold it by the string, keeping your hand steady and unmoving. Then ask your pendulum a question, and it will answer yes of no by swinging around. However, before you're able to use your pendulum, you must 'train' it. To train it you hold it by the string. Ask a simple question that you know the answer to, like 'Am I a boy?' watch the pattern in which the pendulum swings(hold your hand steady while doing this, it should swing around on its own). Ask a few more questions that you know the answer to and see which patttern means yes and which means no. There is no universal pattern for yes or no... some pendulums will swing side to side, clockwise, counter-clockwise, back to front, north to south, etc. so you'll just have to learn the rythm of your pendulum. Pendulums are not only used for yes or no questions, but to locate missing objects as well. Say you lose somthing in your room, you can stand in the center of the room and ask the pendulum to point out where the item is. This locating skill also comes in handy when me and my mom get lost while driving (which happens quite a lot...) Those are the basics for pendulums! ^_^

So...they can gelp find lost objects, eh?
I might need to steal you someday, O Mistress of the Pendulum, and out you to work tracking down mine; that thing just kinda drifted into another dimension, methinks...
Or maybe the cow had something to do with it...the day I realized it was missing was the same day he went off and made me spaz all morning...

It disappeared! Mine disapeared recently too! I have two of them, but that one was m'buddy! Last time I was using it, it was giving the answer I thought I didn't want to hear, but it turned out I really did. So whether it was my higher self woring through energies to give me an answer for my higher good, or it was my subcounscious giving me the answer I really wanted to hear... It was certainly useful!

Kuri-kun seamither ive got a few, and i really love them. what do they look like? 3nodding i am sorry i did not reply until now. one has a silver chain with a pointed hemitie(sp) at the end another is a rose corts that i wraped in a certian way, and last but not least is one that i always wear it is made of abalone. they all work well but the abalone one is my fav, it pics up well on energy diff in the body and works well for energy thearpy.

Yeah I have one I have more than one actually, I have one I allways wear made of pewter in the shape of an earth Goddess, another is made of green string atached to a piece of quartz crystal, the others I have I dont really use anymore they were rings attached to stirngs temporarily and stuff like that rom back when I was like 10 and didn't take this stuff seriously. I get very acuret readings from my pedulum. I love them ^-^

I have a ton of pendulums... which is probably due to the fact that I LOVE making jewelery, and thus always have gemstone beads, bits of chain, ano other odds and ends lying about.
My first pendulum is a Chinese coin strung on a black ribbon. I made this when I was 12 or 13.
As for my other pendulums, they're all gemstone ones that I've made myself. I have ones of jade, smoky quarts, amethyst, jasper, hemitie, and more. Maybe I'll post a few pictures sometime! whee

I made a pendulum out of a wooden bead and a piece of purple yarn and it works. biggrin I carry it with me everywhere. You never know when you might need one 3nodding
