In that topic, we'll talk about the game. Of course, you can still make comparisons with the northern mythology if you want to ! If you want to talk about something that happen in the game that can be considered like a spoiler, I'll ask you to put your commentary in white and specify you'll start a spoiler ! Il est sorti sur playstation en 2000. On peut uniquement l'acheter en import (jap ou ricain), il faut donc une console pucee ou une action replay pour y jouer sur une play francaise._____________________________________________________ THE STORY / L'HISTOIREYou portray Lenneth, a Valkyrie. The story starts in Valhala. Odin has summoned you. He send you to midgard to look for good warriors who are dying to form an army to prevent the Ragnarock, they are called einherjar. Freya come with you at the beginning (to show you how to "harvest" the einherjar). ____________ Vous incarnez Lenneth, une valkyrie. L'histoire commence au Valhala. Odin vous reveille pour vous envoyer sur midgard afin de rechercher des guerriers sur le point de mourir. Tout cela dans le but de creer une armee pour etre prets pour le ragnarock. Ils sont appeles les einherjar. Freya vous accompagne au debut (pour vous montrer comment "recolter" les einherjar)

____________________________________________________ HOW YOU PLAY / COMMENT CA SE JOUE part 1The game works with chapters and periods. There are 8 chapter in total. In each chapter, you start with nearly 24, 25 periods. In the beginning of the game, you start to look for einherjar. Lenneth can feel when someone's dying, so you can to to the right place when you want ! When you find the place and go there, a scene starts. That's how you can find your characters. That costs 1 period. But what would be a video game without fights ? As the ragnarock has not started yet, there must be some things in midgard that occupy you a little ! Here come the dungeons, cause there are the "undeads" (that can be anything, vampires, sorcerers, dragons, ghosts, ...). There you can fight with the characters you want. Each dungeon costs 2 periods. _________________  Le jeu fonctionne par chapitres et periodes. Il y a en tout 8 chapitres et 25, 24 periodes dans chaque chapitre.
Des le debut du jeu on commence a chercher des einherjar. Lenneth a le pouvoir de ressentir quand quelqu'un est en train de mourir, ca va nous indiquer un endroit precis. Quand on trouve l'endroit et qu'on y va, une scene commence. C'est comme ca qu'on recupere nos personnages. Chaque fois qu'on fait ca, ca coute une periode.
Mais que serait un jeu video sans combats ?
Comme le ragnarock n'a pas commence, il faut bien qu'il y ait certains trucs a midgard pour nous occuper un peu !! C'est la qu'interviennent les "undead"(ca peut etre n'importe quoi, des vampires, des sorciers, des dragons, des fantomes, ...). La, on peut se battre avec les personnages que l'on veut !
Chaque donjon coute 2 periodes.

HOW YOU PLAY / COMMENT CA SE JOUE part 2.Technical part, I should say !! You play with Lenneth, I already said that xp ! There are 3 king of controls : on the map, into dungeons and the battles. -On the map, you're flying ! (and I can tell you that's really great). That's the place were you can buy stuff (it's called divine material if I remember well) and save the game (except the save points in the dungeons). Then there are points on the map where you can go, villages or dungeons. -When you go to a village, if there are no einherjar, Lenneth is dressed like a normal person (she hasn't her armor). There, you can speak with people, enter in the houses and all that. You play like in a platform game in 2d (jumping and all that). When you arrive to an intersection, there are arrows, for exemple : "to the rear". Then you click in the arrow's direction to go there. -That's the same in dungeons but you have more commands : attack and cristal. With the 1rst one, you can hit the ennemy and start the battle fist or break a cristal you thrown. With the cristal, you can stop the ennemy (but the battle will not start until he is "unstopped"), or you can climb up on it to jump higher. The Battles now !!When a battle start, Lenneth and somebody else in your team will speak. Then you have time. each button of the paddle is for the action of ONE character. It's yours to find the best combo !! If you fill up the gauge, you can throw the Specials !!! (like Lenneth's "nibelung valesti" :  ) ! You can open a menu too (select button). There, you can use different spells for wizards, or change you weapon or armor, or flee, or do nothing ! Ok, that's finished for the technical part !! ________________ Partie technique je devrais dire !!
Alors, on joue avec Lenneth, ca je l'ai deja dit xp ! Il y a 3 sortes de controles Sur la carte, dans les donjons et les combats :
Sur la carte on vole !!! Et je peux vous garantir que c'est trop bien ! C'est aussi l'endroit ou l'on peut acheter des items (ca s'appelle "divine material" si je me souviens bien...) et sauvegarder (en dehors des points de sauvegarde dans les donjons).
Ensuite, il y a des points sur la carte ou l'on peut aller (villages ou donjons).
- Si l'on choisit d'aller dans un village, s'il n'y a pas d'einherjar a recuperer, Lenneth sera vetue d'une tenue normale (elle n'aura pas son armure). La, on peut parler avec les gens, aller dans les maisons et tout ca.
Ca se joue comme un jeu de plateforme en 2d (en sautant et tout ca) et quand on arrive a une intersection, il y a des fleches (comme par exemple : "to the rear"). On doit cliquer en direction de ladite fleche pour aller a l'endroit voulu !
- Dans les donjons, ca marche de la meme facon, sauf qu'on a plus de commandes : attaque et cristal.
En appuyant sur le bouton d'attaque on peut donner des coups d'epee qui permettent soit de commencer un combat avec un ennemi, soit de briser un cristal.
La commande cristal quant a elle permet, comme son nom l'indique de lancer des cristaux. Ils ont plusieurs utilites, soit geler un ennemi (dans ce cas, si on veut un combat avec lui faudra attendre qu'il se degele xp ), ou alors il peut permettre de sauter plus haut (en montant dessus par exemple). Il a encore pleins d'autres utilites mais je vous laisse decouvrir tout ca par vous memes !
Maintenant les COMBATS !!
Quand un combat commence, Lenneth et quelqu'un de l'equipe va parler.
Apres tu as le temps, ca fonctionne par tours. Le tours commence des que tu appuis sur un bouton. Un bouton est attribue a chaque personnage. Apres, c'est a toi de trouver les meilleurs combos possibles. Si on parvient a remplir la jauge, on peut lancer des speciales (comme par exemple le nibelung valesti de Lenneth : )
Tu peux aussi ouvrir le menu. La, y a plusieurs options : Fuir, passer le tours, lancer une magie (pour les sorciers), changer d'equipement.
Voila, c'est tout pour la partie technique !

A GREAT ADVENTURE / UNE GRANDE AVENTUREYeah ! That game is indeed a really fantastic adventure.  All characters are full of charism. There are really well studied and really interesting. Of course, we all have our favourites, or characters we don't like but we must recognize there are all really great. They all have a story. And each story is full of emotions. All that take part in the deep of each character ! They aren't caricatural, and that's what's great ! And they are a lot too ! An other point of the game that is very important : you are free to act like you want. You can send the einherjar to Valhala to be a great Valkyrie and be in good terms with odin and freya, or you can keep einherjar for yourself. That's the same for the artefacts. One thing to know is that if Odin is not pleased, he can send you Freya to kill you... (dangerous) But you can stay on the limit, for exemple you can keep 3/4 of einherjar for yourself and it will be ok if you send him at least 2 by chapter. You're not forced to take a character if you don't want. You can just avoid the town where he is ! You can avoid the dungeons too if you don't want to go there ! Or you can go several times, even if the scene is finished (the boss won't be here again that's all). About the story, that can be without any surprises (character/ Dungeon/ Boss, Character/ Dungeon/ etc, etc ... until the final boss). But if you do some special things at some specific moments of the game, you can have the best story ever created in a video game ! To resume, that game is full of lots of things really impressive. The emotion, the interest, the characters, ... all that are very important and make that game a marvellous one. _____________________________________________________ Ouais ! Ce jeu est vraiment une aventure fantastique.
Les personnages sont tous tres charismatiques et pleins d'emotions. Ils sont tous vraiment etudies et interessants.
Bien sur il y en a toujours qu'on prefere a d'autres ou au contraire qu'on n'aime pas du tout, mais on est force de constater qu'ils sont tous magnifiqement travailles. Aucun d'entre eux n'est caricatural. Ils ont tous une histoire. Quelque chose comme une profondeur.
Ils sont aussi tres nombreux ce qui est impressionant aussi !
Un autre detail vraiment important dans le jeu : il y a vraiment une grande liberte. On peut agir comme on le souhaite.
On peut envoyerdes einherjar au Valhala pour etre une bonne valkyrie et etre en bons termes avec Odin et Freya ou bien garder les einherjar pour soi meme.
C'est la meme chose pour les artefacts (objets que l'on peut recuperer a la fin des donjons).
Seulement il faut faire attention si on a choisi de se garder les einherjar ou les artefact pour nous parce que si Odin est vraiment vraiment pas content de nous, il peut envoyer Freya nous tuer... (c'est plutot dangereux quoi sweatdrop ).
Par contre on peut rester a la limite quand meme : genre, garder 3/4 des einherjar. En envoyer par exemple 2 par chapitre ca suffit.
Apres, on est pas oblige de recuperer un perso si on n'en a pas envie. Il suffit d'eviter sa ville ! Ou un donjon, si on veut en zapper un c'est possible aussi. Ou au contraire on peut faire les donjons plusieurs fois (mais le boss ne reapparait pas par contre).
En ce qui concerne l'histoire, ca peut se jouer de facon tres lineaire : personnage a recuperer, donjon, boss, perso a recuperer, donjon, boss, ... etc etc jusqu'au boss final.
C'est le moins bien ! Mais sinon, on peut essayer d'avoir le meilleur scenario du jeu en faisant certaines choses, en allant a certains endroits a des moments precis. L'histoire devient alors plus que geniale !
Voila, pour resumer, ce jeu c'est une avalanche d'emotions, de fantastique, de melancolie, ... Ses personnages, la facon de jouer, .. tout participe a en faire un des meilleurs jeu jamais sortis jusqu'a ce jour !

THE MAGIC OF THE GRAPHISM AND THE MUSIC/ LA MAGIE DES GRAPHISMES ET DE LA MUSIQUEAnother point of the game : it's awesome ! The graphisms and the music create a universe really impressive and a unique atmosphere. The resonding universe is really perticular : it is really wonderderfull xd ! When you play, you're totally absorbed by the game ! The voices and the musics are really great. And for graphisms, I'll put some images for everyone to see ! ______________________________ Un autre point important du jeu : il est sublime. Tant par les graphismes que par la musique qui eux 2 contribuent a la perfection a creer un univers en soi qui est unique.
Cette atmoshere unique qui est propre a valkyrie profile est grandement aidee par les musiques. Elles sont toutes sublimes xp ! Quand on joue, on est totalement absorbes. Les voix s'accordent parfaitement aux musiques et creent un veritable univers sonore qui est magnifique.
Quant aus graphismes, je vais mettre quelques images pour que l'on voit ce que ca donne._________________________________________________________ IMAGESIn villages/ Dans les villages In dungeons / Dans les donjons A battle (see the gauge to the botom on the left ?
