Yin lay in the open field basking in the moonlight like it belonged to him alone. Rarely worried about anything around the world anymore for the rest of his pack members always had their eyes opened and a few, more dedicated then others, would chase away any oncomming danger that may pose a threat to the rest of the pack. Flicking his bobbed tail in a more bored and irritated manor he decided to get up and find something to do that was more worth his time.

Raising his rear end he stretched his front arms out in front of himself and let out a lazy yawn. The lands around the pack had grown quite boring once his pack got more recognition. Sometimes being the leader of a greatly feared and renouned pack became a problem for him. Playing tricks and games on his own pack mate would only pose entertaining for so long. Yin longed for some new blood, for someone else that was less immune to his teasing ways and trickery.

Raising his body the rest of the way he leaned to his left and slowly raised his paws from the ground, taking one of the most lackadazical movement forward that anyone could have ever seen. Flicking his tail again he turned his head to the rest of the pack who had long been asleep near by. Shaking his head at them, Yin paced himself into the forest. If he wasn't going to be able to sleep he might as well at least re-mark his territory. It had been a while since he did this and, although most Ulayas stray from the territory now, he still felt the need to announce what is his to the world, event if nobody was gonna see it in the end.

The forest was thick and the overcast from the clouds above made it more eery and dark, just the way Yin enjoyed it. Coming upon a small shrub he lowered his head to it and noted that his marks were still strong, letting him know that nobody had come by and attempted to claim it of their own. Turning around his attention had been jerked to a small sound, most like a twig breaking or a leaf cracking under pressure. His eyes narrowed as he focused on the area of the sound, waiting for something else to happen, waiting for his night to get just a little more interresting.

Night was the perfect time to work on his hunting skills. It seemed so obvious, red fur doesn't stand out so much in the dark. While he was stalking a few insects he noticed he'd passed some smelly bushes but really paid them no mind. His hunt was all he could think of.

He'd managed to kill off a small pawful of grasshoppers, and was in the middle of stalking after a spider when he heard something bigger. Looking between the leaves he saw an adult, one that had that same.. special scent his mother and father had. But he wasn't related. He watches the dark god walking deeper into the trees and pass where he was.

Curiosity getting to him, he edges closer when the adult pauses to sniff a bush. He freezes in place when his hind paw steps on a small twig and snaps it. Maybe he should have paid more attention to those tips the ulaya with the snake had given him on making noise in one spot then silently moving to another spot to confuse things. Oh well, might as well see what happened. he edges closer again, this time keeping his paws off of any twigs. He needed to see just how close to the dark god he could get.

Yin turned one of his ears back with the amusement of his situation and placed his rump on the ground. Taking another quick look around he began to clean his fur, making the intruder think that he had forgotten his situation. He figured either it would take a child or a very inexperienced Ulaya to wander into his territory by accident and if it were on purpose then they probably would have already attacked him by now.

Taking his attention off from his pruned fur he looked up at the tree tops and stared at the sky for a while, pondering if he really wanted to play with his company's mind a little. Letting out a sigh followed by a small snort he stood up and began to walk away, hiding behind a large low hanging tree. Taking the advantage of not being visible from the mysterious Ulaya he leaped up to the lowest branch of the tree and latched his claws into it's bark. Flapping his wings only twice he raised the rest of his body onto the limb and waited silently for the young wanderer to happen by, his fur blending into the night's sky.

Arawn's tail sways a bit behind him as he watches the adult god sit down and clean his fur. Taking the opportunity he edges closer just a little bit and freezes again when Yin stands. An ear flicks while he watches the god moving out of sight through the trees.

Did he leave? Hm.. Arawn creeps through his bush slowly towards where the other had been before peaking his nose out of the leaves. Another moment's hesitation he wriggles his way out of the bush to sniff around where Yin had just been. His lion like tail swishes behind him more as he circles the area yin had sat down.

Yin continued to watch as the young Ulaya appeared out of the shrubs, letting out a silent snort of amusement at his apparently childish age. Deciding to observe him further, Yin kept to his tree and continued to rest his sight on the strange looking pup. Tilting his head to the side it took him a while to come to the conclusion that he may be of a god heritage. It wasn't unusual for him to see strange looking Ulayas around, for a few reside in his pack, but this one was one of the most unusual and gave off a strong scent.

Yin continued to sit still and silent as the hair on the back of his neck began to raise. If there was a child god in his territory there shurley must be an adult and this was a thought he didn't want in the least. He had just finished recovering from a previous god battle and didn't want to spend so much time doing it again. Anger rose in Yin's eyes as he continued to watch the small god look around in a slightly confused manor. Turning his ears back he came to the final conclusion that he didn't want another got threatening his territory he so greatly fought for and decided that this one would have to go. If anything it would be a sign to any other gods roaming the area to keep away and be forewarned, even if Yin would much rather be lazy and not bother.

Jumping off from his perched branch Yin landed behind the wandering youngster, his ears still turned back on his head. "A little young to be out on your own don't you think?" An eyebrow raised as he straightened his face so not to scare away his new prey. He had full intentions of making this little boy suffer, causing him to run away crying to his parents and beg them to leave and not come back. Though he was well aware that gods cannot be killed, not even by another god, they can be pushed to great limits that feel just as horrible as death. This was something Yin knew first hand and felt that all deserving gods should feel it as well, keeping them in their place.

((Yin is such a nice Ulaya, honest XD;; ))

Arawn keeps circling that sport, looking for where the god had gone. He huffs just a little to himself that he couldn't get close enough. That was disappointing. How was he supposed to improve his hunting when he couldn't even sneak up on an adult god. Then again, his prey wouldn't normally consist of other gods anyway.

Just about to turn ad delve deeper into the trees something hit the ground behind him and then speak. He turns with a growl and a hiss, looking up at the dark god angrily. "I am too old enough to be on my own. And you cheated! Nobody is supposed to be able to sneak up on me I'm the hunter!" He huffs, his long tail flicking angrily behind him. Obviously the red godling hadn't been intimidated before when it wasn't his parents doing it.

Lowering his eyeborw Yin moved his ears forward at the impressive reaction from the pup. Keeping a stern glare upon him Yin continued to keep his attitude about everything, he didn't feel shame or sorrow for others and hurting this little Ulaya shouldn't be any different. "Are you aware of where you are?" He wasn't sure if he really did have parents around, looking at the determination upon his face, but Yin didn't wanna underestimate him for he is still a god after all. "Where are your parents young boy?"

Lifting his paw from the ground he began to slowly circle the little god, looking down on him as he did. Keeping his claws extended with every step he softly placed them down, allowing no sound to escape as they pressed upon the hard ground. Yin examined the pup Ulaya all the way around, making sure to keep an imprint of him in his mind. If the pup ever came back after a beating such as he shall receive today then Yin wants to remember everything about him. His strengths, weaknesses and even style of movement, anything that he can use against him in a later encounter.

Arawn glares up at him, whipping his tail around still. "I know where I am. I'm in the trees. That's a stupid question." he snorts lightly at the mention of is parents. "I don't know where they are and I don't care. My father doesn't want me around anyway." His last statement is enhanced with a light growl.

He stiffens a little when the adult starts to circle him, and he turns to keep his eyes on Yin. "What are you staring at. You smell strong like they do so you can't say you haven't seen a god before." He grins just a bit, proud that he'd put the scent together to mean that this adult was like his parents.

"Yes, a god I am." He paused for a moment before continuing onward. "But only as child you are, shouldn't your mommy be watching you chase your tail or something?" Yin took in how the young pup stressed up with anger and frustration at the mention of his parents and wanted to see how far he could push him before he snaps. This, of course, was just simple play. If what he said was right then there in fact aren't any adult gods around and this young independent and naive kid will be up for grabs, free for him to brainwash and manipulate as his own personal pawn.

Yin continued to circle him, keeping him on his toes. If the pup feels that he won't attack him then he might loosen up some, letting him make a move. Flicking his bobbed tail once again be paused at the pup's side and let out a slight snarl before leaping towards him, casting him backwards on the ground. "Didn't your parent's ever teach you to respect your elders?!" He yelled this out loudly to the kid with a growl, his words echoing through the forest with an instant silence shortly following after.

Arawn bristles up again, whipping his ail once more. "I don't need her. She's too busy with my sister and messing with mortals and her job to notice me!" Well, perhaps that wasn't true but he didn't like being around either parent. He would have preferred that snake mortal to them, but wouldn't be saying that to their faces.

Arawn keeps his eyes on the adult god when the circling begins again and gives an ungraceful yelp at the yell and landing on his back. He growls, rolling over to pick himself up on his feet again. "No. And why should I all elders are bossy and full of themselves! They can't teach me anything important." He glares angrily up at Yin, standing behind is words defiantly. "No elder can teach me anything about hunting that will do any good."

Standing himself back up onto his feet and obtaining his posture again he shook his head at the juvenile god's words, giving his ear a slight twitch as he did so. This was how he always thought of life and didn't care for an other's words, which made him mad that another Ulaya would be so much like himself. Though Yin was sure to himself that this little god didn't have a sibling as irritatingly unbearable as his own sister, he hated her so much.

Shaking his head and returning his thoughts to the immediate attention at hand, Yin turned around and started to walk away. This pup, whoever he was, wasn't much of a threat to him without parents around and he continued to make him think of ungrateful thoughts that he much wished to forget. "If that's how you think of it then so be it. Just get off my land before I have to send my pack after you and they won't be as forgiving as I am right now." Yin was in fact never forgiving and didn't want the pup to get the wrong impression. If he didn't feel scared at the least then he would shurley return later and this would just be extra work on himself. "Unless you wish to learn more that is." He still didn't want to loose his original thoughts of manipulating him but he didn't think forcing him into following him around would be the way to do it. He knew this pup would have to be intrigued, and intrigued he shall be.

Arawn watches Yin, bracing himself in case the god charged again. But when the god turned to leave, he twitches an ear slightly. "Pack.. why do you have a pack? What good are they for?" Now he was curious. A god that had a pack instead of going solo was a strange concept to him.

"What could you teach me that I can't learn on my own." Yin didn't look much like a great hunter to him, although he never stopped to wonder why his fur was such a bright red when he was supposed to be the god of hunting, himself.

"Hunting isn't always a game of skills, trickery is just as handy when it comes to out matching your prey" This was something Yin was an expert at and he gestured up to the sky as he said this. Turning completely around to face the young god he turned an ear back and listened to the scenery around them. Nothing was around to be heard, most creatures feared his territory making a game of dinner just a little more complicated. "I may not have great skill in the hunting game itself but I am the god of darkness after all." Raising his chin up some so he wasn't looking down at the ground he raised a paw from the ground and let it rest just above the dirt below. "If you're really interested in hearing what I have to say and possibly one day bringing you god powers to light, then follow me and I'll enlighten you upon how high you are above all of the other creatures in this land." Yin spend years upon years mastering his powers over darkness and knew that if he indeed managed to get this little pup to join the pack under his wing then he would want him to be as powerful as he could be, without exceeding his master at least.

Arawn watches him closely, considering his options. It sounded like a nice offer.. hang around and learn a few things from another god, then he'd be on his way again. "That's why you're out in the night then, because it's dark? Hn...I know some bits of trickery fro my sister. Her reign is manipulation, and my brother's is fear." He doesn't other to mention his.. other sister, she wasn't worth the acknowledgment. "If you can teach me what you say you can.. then I'll go with you. If you're lying I'm not above finding my parents and telling on you." Yep, he was still a child no matter how much he argued he was old enough to be above that title.

Yin silently nodded at him and turned around, finally placing his paw back on the ground. "Your parents wouldn't scare me, once you fight another god for land like this there aren't many things you fear." Flicking his bobbed tail again he started to walk into the darkened part of the forest, sniffing the air as he went. He was rather sure of himself that the pup didn't have any parents around but he wanted to see if there was another scent in the air just in case. If he did find one then he would have to make sure the kid didn't make it back to tell them of his attendance upon the land.

Checking behind him to see if the pup was still following, Yin led the youngling to his favorite training grounds. An open area in the thick part of the forest with a glimmer of moonlight casting down upon him. This was ideal for his practice with dark and he knew it would be the best place to impress the little boy. "I just wonder, how long have you been around the area?" His curiosity came upon him, for if he was around for more then a day then he would have noticed that the sun never rose in this part of the lands, only the work of a god could have such an impact on the skies themselves.
