“Explain again, whhhy are we in town, Mame!” Jasmine’s distant cousin Leo whined to his mom, which he jokingly called ‘Mame’ because of the show with the same name—yes, a lot of the Peterson family was into theater. The silent girl rolled her eyes at the older man, who gave her a childish glare. “Maaame, why?”
Aunt Mary-Anne growled at her son. “Oh, hush! Jasmine and Nancy have never seen Boston, and this weekend vacation was a great time to show them around!”
Leo whined again, giving the street an odd look. “But they live in New York! It’s not that different!”
Jasmine rolled her eyes again, but the silvery-blue orbs caught sight of a strange, neon-colored sign. She was pulled away by the strong neon glow, and it perplexed her. The crowd around the neon sign had disrupted her view of the sign, so she turned to look at her family again, but they were lost in the now gathering crowd of people with multi-colored hair and leather. Rushing out of the crowd as quickly as she could, she stopped dead in her tracks as she noticed that her family was no where in sight.
She was lost, unable to talk, with nothing but a sketchbook in a large city.
fun.
